That's a lot of good games to choose from!

Also congrats to K3, Kabouter Plop and the rest for defeating the Dark Lord  :P I should really pick-up Miitopia as well!

35 - Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair (PS4 2015) - ABANDONED - Hate abandoning another game, but this game is getting tedious as shit.  It's such an awful game that has potential I feel.  The dialogue is cheesy, but it's also incredibly repetitive, both for the story related bits and teammates fighting with you, so I just stop caring.  Mobility is garbage for all of the classes, except for one, so if you want to be a Ranger, you have nothing but a pointless roll and makes big maps feel boring.  The cool armored suit guys are even slower and the other class is almost exclusively a co-op related class as it's useless in singleplayer.  The amount of missions for just the normal story run are dragged out.  I think there are something like 80 missions for the main game, but you could cut that down to 50, cutting out the extra repetitive missions, and make the rest bonus missions.  It also doesn't help that unlocks for new weapons is seemingly random, so you don't get a lot of new and fun gear at all and I've mostly just used a single rocket launcher for most of the game because I grabbed it for the heck of it for like a buck as DLC.  It's way better than anything else I've earned and I'm at nearly mission 50 now.

If this game was more like...Crackdown with giant bugs, alien creatures, and robots, this would be a pretty sick series, but as it is, this is not fun anymore lol

Two games in one post! Hot dayum

Game 19 - Pikmin 3 (Wii U) - 13 Hours

+ This game was really great. It's easily my favorite game on the Wii U. It has beautiful graphics, really fun and challenging game play; it's simply a ton of fun to play. It was one of those games that was tough to put down. I liked the different Pikmin, controlling the different characters, and trying to get as much stuff done in one day as possible. I also loved the environment with you feeling like you're an ant in a small world; it's a really great aesthetic.

- The only small nitpick is that my Pikmin would get stuck in walls if I was moving in a big group. That's really the only knock on the game though.

Game 20 - Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (Wii U) - 26 Hours

I counted this game as beat when I unlocked all the characters. I've already said a lot about the game in the 3DS version, so I don't want to repeat myself. It's Smash Bros. Fun to play, gets just a little repetitive after a while, especially since I already beat the 3DS version as well. I do like all the different modes that are in this game over the 3DS version, like the master orders, and smash tour (though I liked smash run more). It's definitely the definitive edition.

Finished both Far Cry Instincts games.  Not horrible, but not great.  Need to get into Primal at some point, but I think I'm going to play Bourne Conspiracy next.

Well, that was quick. They had this 2+1 free deal on secondhand games at a GAME store I visited on my holiday. I got New Play Control: Pikmin to replace the copy I lost, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale because I've always wanted to try it, and Ben 10: Galactic Racing on DS because it was free anyway...

...And I already beat it. Yeah. The Grand Prix consists of 12 tracks, and once you've placed first on all of those you've got everything unlocked too! There's still achievements left to beat, but otherwise it's beaten.

So how was it? Well, I can only describe it with three words: bland, wonky, and just plain average. It's not the worst kart racer ever, but DEFINITELY not the best either.
I can forgive its really short campaign because it still has time trial mode and achievements and stuff like that. But otherwise the game is just plain. Tracks are bland and very samey. They are divided in four themes, and even those four themes don't add much. Apart from that the game is super wonky too.  You'll be bumping into walls a lot, and one unlucky break with items or powers can send you in such weird ways that you'll never catch up with the race.

To put it simply, it's not the worst kart racer ever, but it's incredibly bland. Apart from the novelty of it being Ben 10 there is absolutely no reason to play this over Mario Kart DS for example. But hey, at least it's another game I can consider beaten!

Which puts me at 23!
Italics means I had already started with the game November last year or earlier
A red glow means this is a second playthrough
A blue glow means the game has been completed 100%

Right now the list is:
  • Life is Strange
  • New Super Mario Bros. U
  • Kirby’s Dream Land
  • Kirby’s Dream Land
  • Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (PC version)
  • Super Mario 3D World
  • Kirby Super Star Ultra
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
  • Learn With Pokémon: Typing Adventure
  • Sonic Generations
  • Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity
  • Drawn to Life
  • Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
  • 8-Bit Bayonetta
  • Mario Kart Wii
  • Bayonetta
  • Space Channel 5: Part 2
  • DuckTales: Remastered
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Freddi Fish 2: The Case of the Haunted Schoolhouse
  • New Super Mario Bros.
  • Miitopia
  • Ben 10: Galactic Racing

Now on to good stuff! I started up The World Ends With You and I'm really liking it so far! Definitely continuing work with that one!
Also pre-ordered Metroid: Samus Returns. Looking forward to that!
Huge Nintendo fan and hobbyist Nintendo collector.

41 - Sonic Mania (Switch 2017) - BEAT - Finally beat this.  Certain levels were driving me nuts, specifically Flying Battery Zone, Oil Ocean Zone, and Titanic Monarch Zone.  Didn't even get the true ending.  Honestly, while I love nearly everything about this game, from the art, to the style, to the music, I really don't like to play Sonic games.  At least the old Genesis ones.  I find them more frustrating than fun most of the time.  Usually the game is best when you aren't at high speed, auto-running through sections of a level as there were good boss fights and I really dig the minigames.  Heck, I'd love for them to just release a game that is nothing but the Sonic minigames lol

Newest review:

57. Sonic Mania (PS4): You can tell a ton of love went into this game and was developed by huge fans of the classics from the Genesis/Sega CD era. This game is filled with references to many main and side Sonic games which have the Sega fanboy in me gushing every time one comes up. The music, levels, art, and just about everything makes this game truly feel like it was meant to come out in 1995 or 1996 as the true sequel to Sonic and Knuckles. My only gripe about this game was a few of the levels which I felt did not have a good flow to them and weren't as fun as many of the other levels. Also, in order to see the "True" ending you need to obtain every Chaos Emerald which is no small feat, in fact it is extremely difficult. A very fun game and one of the best Sonic games in years I've played. (9/4/17)
