You don't like Kaboom!?  That game is awesome.  It's one of my favorites on the 2600.

Crystal Castles, Stampede, and Yar's Revenge are some of my favorites.

I don't play the 2600 anymore.  I lost my Atari stuff in the Great Divorce of 2015.  To be perfectly honest, it didn't bother me that much.

I don't play Atari 2600 too much but i do enjoy frogger and ms. pacman from time to time. :).  I was born much after the Atari craze so i didn't really experience it or grow up with it to appreciate it sentimentally. Most of my playing of Atari 2600 titles comes from collection compilations on other systems or just the bare essentials like Pac Man that everyone knows and loves :D.

But i do love the history and legacy it holds in gaming and i think it is one of the most coolest looking consoles of all time with the wood grain finished front and the metal switches.  It has plenty of amazing games that paved the way in many genres.

My favorite games
. Ms. Pacman
. Frogger
. Centipede
. Space Invaders
. Super Breakout
. Donkey Kong
. Asteroids

Least Favorites
. Pac Man

I was born in 1987 and to be completely honest it is hard for me to even get into 75% of the NES Library, so Atari for me is like no man's land. I played a handful of Atari 2600 games, as well as a few other games on pre-NES consoles and they usually keep my attention for all of 5-minutes and then I just feel like doing something else.

I like a lot of 2600 games. I'd probably play mine more often if I had a controller that worked more reliably.

I have tried the PS2 comp and I do not like them. The Saturn comps are better. Aside from that, the only other way I play 2600 games is on an actual 2600 using a Sega Genesis controller, usually the 6 button.

I grew up with Atari 2600 and not NES, so I went straight from 2600 to SNES... and for some reason can't play the NES.

I liked Surround and Maze Craze... everything else was meh.

Atari 2600 was/is my first system. I still own that system and it still works poor little thing. I recently upgraded it with a 7800. So i play a lot of Atari. Some of my favorite games(that I own):
Adventure
Combat
Demon to Diamonds
Dodge 'em
Kaboom
Missile Command
Pitfall
Planet Patrol
Space Invaders
Warlords
Yaris' Revenge

Ones I own and don't care for:
E.T.
Ghostbusters
Superman

One I really want to own:
Masters of the Universe

I do try to pick up the collections whenever I come across them for other systems but apparently in this area they aren't that common

I don't believe that I have ever played an Atari 2600 and I don't really care to as any of the games I would want to play got ported or I could play the superior arcade version.

I tried, I really did. I bought an Atari, owned about 50 games (give or take), but I just couldn't get into the console, like at all. I'd only play for like 15-20 minutes at a time.

The games were just too simple, it was the same thing over and over again, it just got faster as you went. And the sounds, oh dear Lord, the unholy sounds that came out of that machine.

I just got into Atari 2600 with the two compilation discs on PS4. I also have Mario Bros. in physical form and am looking to mod my Intellivision to work with the system changer, then I'll start collecting for it a bit.

no I stopped wanting to play it a long time ago. I do on the other hand love collecting for it. there is nothing better as a collector than being able to go out and buy just about any Atari 2600 game for less than a buck.
PS2 Palooza: 8/2XXX games finished
Now Playing: Dark cloud
Stopped recording so now back on track.

I used to be this way before I grew into more classic gaming. It is like experiencing history that is why I play and have a ColecoVision Flashback and an Atari Flashback 6 and an Intellivision flashback along with many other PS2 compilations. those Games that i've listed some of them have top of the line Atari Graphics and i highly recommend them both the cartridges and the Atari and Activision anthology

It's mind boggling that someone who likes Atari 2600 games wouldn't like Kaboom. It's one of the very few that's just as playable today as it was in the early '80s. The controls are perfect. A word of warning though, this game sucks if you play it on anything other than the Atari 2600. All the modern compilation packs use the analog stick to move the buckets back and forth, but the real magic to this game is the 2600's paddle controller.

Other ones I really like are:

Crossbow - It's a port of the Exidy arcade game. Very good graphics, and especially good with the trackball controller
Oink! - A fast game of building your house to avoid the big bad wolf, who has laser eyes for some reason  :D
Crackpots - You drop pots onto bugs trying to eat your house!
Warlords - Another arcade port, and the graphics aren't much to look at, but its multiplayer mode is awesome
