Wow .. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ni-no-Kuni-Wrath-of-the-White-Witch-Wizard-Edition-PS3-/181069273184?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item2a2891d860 - $300 and it doesnt even have the game in it.

That's so ridiculous. Give it 3 months...you'll be able to get one closer to $100 WITH the game.

I might look for it then. I'm really kicking myself for not hopping on the 1st batch of pre-orders.

I am honestly shocked at the rampage at which people are going at the wizards editions. Every one of them online is ending in the $400+ area.

I cared that I missed out for about 2 seconds...and then I just went and bought the game.....you know, the thing that you actually play that's bundled in with all of that other nonsense?

I do enjoy CEs and whatnot, but never, ever, ever will I ever pay $400 for the extra $5 the company put into the toys that come with them. Say what you will about CoD, but at least the LEs come with some nifty toys (fully functional remote control car complete with camera, for example). That was only $150.

The only 3 LEs that I want that I might pay the $100+ for (mint and complete mind you) are:

Metal Gear Solid 3
Metal Gear Solid 4
Demons Souls

That's not for the bonus content, but rather out of respect for the games. Is Ni No Kuni awesome? Yes. Is the LE worth $100, I believe so. Is it worth a penny more? NO. Will I pick one up in a few months when it's at ~ $75, probably :)

Ya that's pretty sweet.

Mainly I regret not getting the WE because of the book. Sure the full version is in the game, but I just really like game related books.

Also, if I was one of the lucky ones who actually got the CE, I would be selling the shit out of it right now, picking up a regular edition of the game, and then buying the CE again after it comes down in price. ESPECIALLY if I wasn't even planning on playing it anytime soon.

That's 300% profit (assuming a $400 selling price) with zero work/research (minus pushing a few buttons and taking a few photos).

I couldn't risk that personally (and then dealing with shipping that huge thing), but I understand the temptation...  Mine is supposed to arrive Thursday!

You know what really made me excited? When I finally played the game for real (I only played the boss fight in the demo and didn't do much of anything else). Ventured outside and roamed the world map, then went to the forest and ran into a SAVE POINT. I honestly said "this game uses save points? SWEET". ha

I switched to easy and it's not exactly easy. I still lose battles so maybe I'm just lousy. I haven't paid attention to the celestial signs of each creature though. Also, just read you can cycle the combat menu using the L2 and R2 buttons which I did not know.

How quick are you guys to morph familiars into their second forms? I know there are third forms too but I've not tried that yet. I'm also never sure which familiars to use. There are a lot and it takes time to get experience but it's likely there are better ones still to be encountered. The casino which I got to yesterday has a gold Tin Man but it's expensive.

I'm at the 7.5 hour mark. I didn't have enough free time this weekend to sit down and play it. I played 2 hours on Friday night and 5.5 last night.

How many hours does everyone have into the game thus far?

Also, isn't it funny that developers seem to be under the impression that the old school JRPG formula is dead...and when one comes out it's so popular that it's difficult to find a copy and it gets super high review scores? Hope there are some people in the industry taking notes from Ni No Kuni.

2.5 hours. haha

I have to wait for the GF to get over to my place until I can start playing again. She's really interested in the story so far and doesn't want to miss any of it.

I just hit 24 hours last night. Im at Hamelin. I still like Mitey. He is an awesome awesome familiar. I also still use the lemur on Esther. Her bird character is just too weak imo. The only familiars I have serenaded and continue to enjoy is the green buncher (the big stack of bananas) and the little Bighorn. I have metamorphed all 4 of those characters once and most of them are around level 22-25 again and still unable to do it a second time. I am horribly disappointed in all of the gold DLC familiars. Mitey is no different than the one you have been working on for a while except he is gold and level 1, same with the Drongo. Hurly isnt bad but you get him for free later too (and higher level). I heard the griffy is pretty good though which sucks cause thats the one I dont have. :(

Ya, I can't wait to get my Griffy! Stupid having to wait until a certain point in the game to obtain him.
