Go to bestbuy.ca to find it.

You get 30% off every game you preorder if you have 3 games or more in your shopping cart. That goes for every system (though some random games are excluded).

As E3 goes on they'll be adding games to the deal, so you can preorder as soon as they're announced. This beats any other retail or digital sale that might happen around the games' launches.

Future Shop is doing the same deal.

Big sale at play-asia. Everything that is currently in stock is 20% off, with the exception of games that came out in March. Might be worth looking at.

User Feedback / naicigam

As he mentioned in my feedback topic, I dealt with him and all went sort of well. Shipping TO him was really slow, but that's nothing either of us could do anything about (postal service in his neck of the world was really really bad). But other than that all went well!

General / Awesome Game Done Quick 2014
« on: January 05, 2014, 01:27:58 pm »
I thought I'd just push this on here, it might interest some of you.

http://gamesdonequick.com/

It's a 6 day marathon of video game speedruns, and they're raising money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation which is pretty awesome. One of the random draw prizes, if you donate 50$ or more, is a badass Majora's Mask Collector's Edition (click here)... Just saying :P

Here's the schedule, if you want to see what games will be played through the marathon:

Marketplace / FS: Random stuff
« on: November 20, 2013, 09:30:25 pm »
So I'm looking at thinning out my collection and I'm selling a bunch of stuff on my local Kijiji. Mostly filler-ish stuff, a couple consoles I only touched once and have no intention of touching again. There's still a lot of stuff I'm keeping, I just want to get rid of whatever I won't be touching again.

Before I do that though, I want to give you guys first dibs. For a couple days probably and then it's going to kijiji. Basically I looked at what I was selling on videogames.pricecharting.com and came up with the more valuable/interesting stuff to put on here (some of the prices kinda surprised me, actually... note that I'm probably more reasonable than videogames.pricecharting.com :P). Not much, but I figure some of it might be interesting.

Just PM me some offers and I'll probably say yes. Include around 10$ for shipping in that offer (I have no idea how much it'll cost to ship this stuff, so I may be over or under estimating).

Attack of the Mutant Penguins for the Atari Jaguar (complete) SOLD
Last Blade 2: Heart of the Samurai on Dreamcast (complete) SOLD
Action 52 on Genesis (cart only)
Legend of Oasis on Saturn (disc-only... sorry :P)
Crash 'n' the Boys: Street Challenge on NES (cart only)
Tagin' Dragon on NES (cart only)
Godzilla: Kaijuu Daikessen on Super Famicom (cart only)
Super Bonk on SNES (cart only)
Space Station Silicon Valley on N64 (cart only)
Thrash Rally on MVS (cart and mini-marquee)

May or may not include wombats.

Cheers!

If you pre-order at least 3 games, you get basically a third of the price off every game in your order. Pretty badass.

Off Topic / Board Games!
« on: April 08, 2013, 07:17:18 pm »
I'm surprised we haven't made a topic about these yet, since they're very similar to video games and I figure some of the people here play these games.

I'm in a bit of board game mood right now and looking for new games to play/buy and figured I'd ask what you guys like, maybe it'll give me ideas and we can basically all recommend games to each other.... I'll post later but first I wanna see what you guys think!

Lukiegames.com currently have a tiny sale going on, lasts today and Tuesday.

Not amazing, but I'm sure someone can find something they want there.

And I'm guessing they'll have another one on Friday as well.

Modern Video Games / Wii U, who's getting it?
« on: September 14, 2012, 12:53:04 am »
Yesterday was a big news day for Wii U, with the price and release date announced for the console (November 18th in the US), and a few other announcement including the mind-blowing announcement of Bayonetta 2 being a Wii U exclusive.
The cool thing about that announcement is that, amongst Sony, Microsoft and Sega, Nintendo is the only company that WANTED to publish that game at all, so that makes me really love Nintendo right now :P

So who's getting the console?
Here are the 2 bundles, for your information: http://www.nintendo.com/wiiu/buynow/

I was already planning on getting it, just because, but that Bayonetta announcement actually made me HYPED for it. And I see no reason to get the 300$ version when the 350$ version is a lot better for a relatively low price increase.

Classic Video Games / Since when is Little Samson worth 300$?
« on: August 27, 2012, 03:23:20 pm »
I have no idea when/how this started happening. Up until early this year I could still find it easily for 120-150$ (which I find to be too expensive already), but now the latest sale on eBay (a few minutes ago, it was the only copy on there) went up to 380$... And that's with bids, though the seller started it at 299$. What is leading people to think a game is worth so much when it could be found for much cheaper not even a year before?

That particularly pisses me off since this is one of the games I want most on NES and it seems there's no way I'll ever find it for a reasonable price anymore.

*sadface*

Off Topic / Check out my new computer!
« on: August 23, 2012, 06:44:40 pm »
Alright, just a cool little oddity I bought a few months back, and now I just received it. It's a computer that cost me, including shipping and an RCA cable and a case, a whole 50$.

Some of you may know about it, it's called a Raspberry Pi.

So it's a super tiny computer that fits in my hand. It's Linux based, has fairly low specs, and comes with only the board. Yes, that acrylic case was actually optional, it didn't even have a power cable. No hard drive on there either, so you have to install the OS to an SD card (though you can hook up an external hard drive to it). It has 2 USB ports, an ethernet port (sadly no wifi), RCA video, standard audio plug and HDMI. I just received it so I haven't tried it yet, but it should be just a fun little thing to mess around with. I might end up just using it as a media player of sorts, but either way it's just a cool little thing.

Check it out here if you want more info: http://www.raspberrypi.org/
