Bayonetta 3. I absolutely love the first Bayonetta. I still really want to play Bayonetta 2, but currently I still don't have a Wii U, and considering my small budget it's probably better to wait for the NX. So I'm desperately hoping they'll create a Bayonetta 3 for the NX.

Looking for a good deal on Sonic games on Steam? You're in luck!
The newest Humble Bundle is here, and it's a good one if you're a fan of Sonic. To celebrate the 25th anniversary, the newest humble bundle features over €125 worth of Sonic games and DLC on Steam, which you can all get for €8,90. If you pay more than €31,17, you also get a limited edition Sonic Anniversary T-shirt.

I didn't get the T-shirt, but I did get the full bundle (seeing how I only owned a few Sonic games on Steam, but I'd like to get more into the series, and there's a lot of classics in this bundle). I'll be honest, after the trouble I had getting the SEGA Genesis & Mega Drive Classics program to work, and after simply giving up on getting Sonic Adventure 2 to run (seriously, if it works on your pc, please tell me how you did it), I was about done with SEGA on Steam, but they pulled me back in with this.

If you're a fan of Sonic, I suggest you check this out. If you pay the bare minimum for the complete game bundle (minus the t-shirt), then you can save up to 95% (if my calculations are correct).
www.humblebundle.com

(Wow, I know I sounded like a SEGA representative back there, but it's just a really good bundle, ok?)

Since I'm not sure (and in all honesty, don't think) that this is really gaming-related, I decided to put it here.
I was at a dump store today, and I saw this. I had no clue what it is, but it looked like a ZX Spectrum or something. I quickly took a picture of it (sorry for the blurry quality, I had to do it fast) to look it up before deciding on buying it.

From what I've gathered, it's some kind of video editing tool, but that's pretty much all I know. Maybe somebody here can tell me something about it? They;re selling it for €6,50, and I believe that's above the average price. If it's just a video editing tool, then I'm not interested in it anyway, but who knows. Has anyone ever seen this before?

General / Re: Pikachu, Pichu or Raichu?
« on: June 13, 2016, 06:46:31 pm »
Pikachu will always have a special spot in my heart, which is understandable as he's the mascot of the entire series. I do like Raichu, but he's never really been in my top favourite Pokémon. But for some reason, I have a soft spot for Pichu. Maybe it was because of that time that I found one, and I wanted to train it, and it was so weak that it was nearly impossible, but I pulled through. Or maybe it's how my friend once gave me one without realising it was shiny (which I didn't realise until afterwards either). Or maybe it's just that it's cute. Who knows? Bottom line, I'd say Pichu is my favourite, with Pikachu as a very close second, and then Raichu coming in third.

Outside of gaming and the huge amount of YouTube and Twitch I watch, I'm a member of the Scouting and I enjoy horseback riding. Also, sometimes I take up other projects, but I often end up putting them back down just as quick (currently taking baby-steps into 3D-modelling (mainly because I want to create playermodels for Garry's Mod), and I'd love to set up a YouTube channel one day, once I get the right equipment).

Here in the Netherlands, we have a different version of pancakes, which we call 'pannenkoeken'.

And these are easily my favourite.

General / Is it illegal to download games you already own?
« on: June 09, 2016, 08:01:24 pm »
Is it illegal to download games you already own? For example, I own Super Smash Bros Brawl. Now I want to try out Project M, but my Wii isn't modded, so I can't install it, nor can I make a copy of the game to use with Dolphin Emulator. Is it illegal to download an .iso of SSBB in this case to use with Dolphin? I get that it's automatically illegal to torrent it, seeing how that would automatically cause you to seed, and even the tiniest amount of seeding is technically uploading, and thus illegal. But what if I were to download an .iso of the game without any form of uploading on my part?

In my personal opinion it's okay to download a ROM of a game if you already own the game. I bought the game, I paid for it, so if I want to mod around with it or back my games up to an R4 for example, then I don't see the issue with downloading a ROM. I want to be clear, I'm absolutely against any form of piracy. I believe you should pay for music, movies, games, etcetera. People worked on those products, and they deserve to get the monetization from it. But downloading content you already own is a very fishy area, so I thought I'd ask your opinion.

Here's one!  Stop with the fucking DLC, paywalls, season passes, microtransactions and basically and/all other greedy, money-grubbing methods employed to screw gamers out of their hard-earned money!

That's a game I can get behind.   ;)

I hope nobody steals this, but I have a concept. It's called 'Error 404'. The idea is that you're a video game character, but one day your world gets torn up by all kinds of glitches and bugs, caused by the game-breaking Game Genie (get it?). It would probably be a 2D action game, not unlike Azure Striker Gunvolt. The goal is to traverse the various levels and avoid the various glitches and battle the glitched enemies. At the end of every level there'll be a boss to fight based on a major glitch. Once you defeat it, you learn how to trigger the glitch at will, and you'll be able to use it in the levels, similair to Mega Man and the robot masters. These could function like special attacks that build up power and can then be unleashed as a very powerful attack. These attacks could range from corrupting all enemies on the screen, to creating holes in the walls you can phase through, etcetera.
I haven't really thought it out, but then again, I'm not a game designer. At all. But this is just a fun idea I've been toying around with for a while.

As for games based on existing franchises:

  • Waluigi Pinball Mania. Finally a game for Waluigi to star in. Based on the Waluigi Pinball course from Mario Kart DS and 7, this game would feature multiple crazy and over-the-top pinball tables designed by Waluigi. Basically imagine some of the most crazy pinball tables you can think of, all while Waluigi is Wah-ing all over your gameplay.
  • Gyromite 2: Robotic Rebels. I have a huge soft spot for R.O.B. as a character, and I'd like to see him and Professor Hector get their own game one more time. The core concept would be similair to Gyromite, with various bigger levels to explore, and R.O.B. would be viewable on the 3DS Touch Screen or Wii U GamePad. On the TV / top screen you control Professor Hector as he traverses the various levels. However, to get rid of some obstacles or enemies you'll need to interact with R.O.B. on the Touch Screen / GamePad. The commands R.O.B. gets would obviously be a lot quicker and less tedious than the original game. Again, I haven't thought much about this one, but it's an idea at least.
  • Excite Truck: Total Rampage. Excite Truck on the Wii as a really good off-road racer. I won't deny it was a bit shallow, but I would love to see a sequel that really builds on the foundations it laid. Maybe some more varied levels, some special mechanics, and they could turn this off-road truck racer into something really amazing.
  • Wuhu Quest. This would be an adventure game set on Wuhu Island (the island from Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit). I know that Miyamoto intended for this island to become the host for a multitude of games, and I definitely think there is some potential here. I'll admit that maybe Wuhu Island is a little small for an adventure game, but maybe with a compelling story, some extra locations (underground perhaps?) and some other additions it could be a pretty interesting adventure game.
