General / Re: What Does Everyone Think of the Nintendo Switch Lite?
« on: July 18, 2019, 09:12:28 pm »
I think its a great idea for people who want a cheap switch. Personally I can't stand the switch though (truly regret buying one because I barely touch the damn thing).

I thought it was a solid game but it felt like they didn't know how to handle most of the subplots so they just didn't address them. Egil and Alette confessed their love in my playthrough and then it just never came up again. I don't remember them doing anything with Ludin either. His father died and yet they just shoved him to the background.

Missed opportunity. It was over $200 well over 7 years ago.

It would drive me nuts.

And not doing it that way would drive me nuts. Idolmaster starts with I, so it goes with the rest of the "I"s in my 360 library.
Is the 360 region free out of the box?

General / Question About Organizing My Collection
« on: September 01, 2018, 12:26:52 pm »
Hey everyone so quick question. Should I keep my imports separate from the rest of my collection?
Right now my collection is sorted by console. But all my imports are clumped together at the end of every console section. Should I just keep them all together on a separate shelf or just leave it the way it is?

It depends. I feel like their franchises can only go so far before they become pointless. I dropped the walking dead franchise after the second game because I quickly realized they were just going to either a) kill everyone off or b) cut them out of the story forever at the end of the game so they could start over with the next game.

Modern Video Games / Re: Do you think Fallout 4 was a bad game?
« on: August 02, 2018, 02:36:53 pm »
I thought it was a great game! I liked it way more than Fallout 3 (but that's just me). Don't get me wrong, it had its share of faults, but I really enjoyed it.

However, I can understand why some people who loved Fallout 3 didn't like it because it did away with the stats system and other things.

They're kids so I go easy on them.

Kind of. I'll always want physical copies of video games but my collection of movies is getting kind of absurd at this point. I have hundreds of movies that I picked up dirt cheap over the years as places like blockbuster went under. Its become a hassle since there's been such a move away from physical movies and some laptops no longer have dvd players. It's just so much easier to stream movies especially when im on a long trip.

It's getting two more seasons!
And that Castlevania show was shockingly good, even if way too short.

Hey so what the hell happened to Konami?
They went from a powerhouse in the industry with some of the most iconic franchises to some crappy no name company that just makes pachinko games.

Probably gonna go with PS5. Nintendo games are fun but in all honesty, Nintendo dropped the fucking ball hard with the Switch. I own a dozen Switch games and at this point, the only ones I found myself saying "wow this is a lot of fun," were Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart, and Rabbids Kingdom.

Soft floppy discs were before my time XD

I do remember hard floppy discs and I didn't know what they were as a kid but they were a blast to play with. God I would literally sit in front of our old mac computer and just put a floppy disc in, eject it, then put it back in lol

To be honest, the only deal breaker for me is whether or not the PS5 would allow me to play games with people on the PS4. Another thing I care about (but its not necessarily a deal breaker) is backwards compatibility.

I spend most of my time playing games with my friends so if I bought a ps5, I'd probably be playing single player games by myself.

General / Games so bad they bankrupted a company?
« on: July 08, 2018, 11:41:30 am »
What are some games that were so bad/sold so poorly they literally bankrupted a company?
Here's the ones I can think of:
1) E.T. for the Atari 2600
2) Lair
3) Damnation

Any others?
