Giving this one a go (purchase-wise). Has ok reviews so far, but the cuteness tempts me so ;D

I win by less than a minute. :P You can delete this one if you want, since you actually have a pickup in your thread. Nevermind, saw you deleted yours.
Also, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on Popolocrois at some point. :)

Yeah, I'm really curious about it, though I haven't played the original (and am curious about it, too). I'm hoping to get my N3DS XL modded in the next month or so and will probably pop it in then :D
-
I am in the middle of moving so I have been on a hold in terms of game pickups! Sorry for not making the thread haha!

Today i've come back with two items found in a old thrift store, Forbidden Siren 2 (3€ - PS2 - CIB) and a little golden Mario Tanuki (it was mix in a bowl with some buttons :o).
I had to make so research on that little golden Mario, it could be found in king cake (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_cake) that were selling in France during 1992, it's apparently part of a Mario set (http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/vintage-1992-mario-bros-metal-461466161) (or maybe a Nintendo set since that page also mention "Metroid" and "Zelda" but there are absolutely no information on them, the only thing i could find is the two Mario on sale on Ebay).

I saw you were on the PlayStation Store this evening and was wondering what you were buying. ;) Maybe I should pick it up too! I've wanted to play RE2 for a long time

Hard to beat a price like that. :) The prices for most "retro" stuff in my area are pretty awful, and eBay is even worse after the exchange rate and awful shipping prices to Canada, so I don't mind buying something I want digitally every once in a while when it's this cheap.
How are you enjoying GTA IV? ;)
-
I got Return to PoploCrois and the Disgaea PC LE. Disgaea PC is super nice, even though it only comes with an artbook and soundtrack. Can't complain for only $30.
-
Got my Twilight Princess HD Amiibo bundle in the mail today. :)
-
Boom. Zelda. Collector's Guide is still in the mail, but I won't really be needing it for abit since I'm going to try and finish Wind Waker HD this week.

I like it well enough! :) The only other GTA game I've played is III, so IV is a huge step up especially in gameplay. I'm about 50% done, but I don't know how close I am to the actual end of the game

Even when I didn't wanted had to work on Sunday but am kinda glad that I had to be here, why ?, because when I was driving to the office saw a garage sale and for some unexpected reason had the felling that need to see what they were selling, found a PSP God of War: Chains of Olympus Limited Edition (http://i.imgur.com/el7gtrf.jpg) with a broken screen well that's what the seller said cause when I tried to tested noticed that the battery is completely dead (am charging it right now) guess that I got a god deal cause it also came with a case, the charger, an AV video RCA cable, the Suberbad movie and even a PSP adapter to use it as a PlayStation controller and a memory of 2 GB for almost 10 bucks, really hope that it works, will let everybody know the results if not today this next Monday :D

I should be getting my very nice refund check deposited into my account by wed or so they say. I have about 39 games in my cart waiting to be purchased. All clearance and very cheap. for 39 games, a 64gb vita memory card, and me redeeming some power up points to use coupons, i'm only paying about $352 roughly including any shipping costs. That will put a nice dent in my vita collection for sure haha.

I went to a local retro gaming swap meet and got some excellent deals on all the stuff pictured above. Very, very happy about the CIB Zeldas, i've wanted these for a very long time.

I went big at the Louisville Arcade Expo. They had a few vendors and wouldn't ya know it they had NES games!

That knocked a big chuck out of the games left on the list. 8 left to go. This shit is real.

what titles do you still need to complete the set?

what titles do you still need to complete the set?
Flintstones: Surprise at Dinosaur Peak (Not ready to buy right now, unless it's a great deal)
Kickmaster
Overlord
Race America
Stadium Events (Unless it's less than $100, I'm not buying it yet)
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Swamp Thing
Tecmo Cup Soccer
-
So I bought a fake copy of Duck Tales 2 for under $20 out of China both out of curiosity and knowing that I'll never shell out the kind of money that the real one goes for.

Aside from the label printed kind of funky, I'm actually surprised with the quality of the PCB with that it uses actual EPROM chips and not cheap glop top packages which is what I was expecting.

I wouldn't count Stadium Events as one you need for a complete collection, It's a Variation. It's the same game as World Class Track Meet. It just has a few graphic changes, different name and Label. Not worth what people are paying for it.
At least that's what I think. I do count Flintstones: Surprise at Dino Peak.
The only people who count it is those who own it and want to brag about it. :P
-
Preordered the Twilight Princess CE Guide from Gamestop online during their sale. Went to go pick it up and they tell me they haven't received any guides.
Hopefully I can get another store to honor my preorder.

That's odd that they never received them, but maybe the weather has slowed down the delivery. They got to my local Gamestop ok on release date, but I opted to get it from Amazon when they were selling them for $24. They've never been great about release-day shipping anyway, but I haven't gotten my game yet, so no rush.

I got it during a sale a while back for $18. Honestly, I think they sold my guide because they didn't think anyone preordered it.

It was a bunch of preorder guides b1g1 half off. I preordered TP and Star Fox Zero CE guide.
-

It worked but as the seller said the screen is pretty damaged, was unable to see a good pixel so now I will have to request some assistance and see how can I revive this little fella, the memory has some music and was able to hear it without any problem ;D

That or possibly the EU version. Its like 10% of the cost of the one here in the states.

After really enjoying Ys: Ark of Napshitim on PS2, I decided to order this guy:
Ys III: Wanderers From Ys (SNES)
-
Ys III is a weird step brother in the Ys family.
Ys Books I & II is one of my top 10 childhood memories of gaming.
-
^ I didn't like the early ones. I hated the "bumping into enemies" gameplay.

could always contact sony and see if they can help. There are also electronic repair stores that can fix pretty much any screen problems on most devices. Around me in chicago there is a great one called back in the game that specializes in game repairs.

Finally got my Twilight Princess HD guide after it weirdly took a week after release to ship. Interesting to note, the guide is generally thinner than the original collector's guide. Few dozen less pages I'd say. Haven't opened up either yet to see why, but I guess they managed to streamline the content perhaps.

Bunch of ****. But seriously, I just picked up NES Remix and I've bought a number of PS1 and NES games recently. That's all I'm giving, vague descriptions. See signature for details. :P

Got a good haul today. Found a Batman Arkam Knight Limited Edition, the one with the statue, brand new for $74 at best buy. Also found some Sega Genesis games with complete boxes and inserts (instructions, registration cards, and for the sports games, the map fold out for the teams). Got 29 games today and stayed under $200.
-
Picked up a few things and one buyers remorse :P
XBone
I reserved this thinking it looked cool when announced but didn't notice something, It was an early access no physical copy induced.
While I think the statue and extras are cool, I was upset to see it only had a download code. >:(
This trend needs to stop. Collector's editions are aimed at collector's and most want a physical game. (sigh) oh well.
I'll just buy the game later and add it to this set. ::)
- Hitman - Collector's Edition
Also picked up these on sale.
- Evolve (at $10 I'll break for a online only game) :P
- Zombie Army Trilogy
3DS
I picked up my 20th Anniversary Pokemon New 3DS today. :D
The Manager at Gamestop was nice enough to hold on to it an extra week for me and when I picked it up she told me that many other stores where calling her asking if they could ship it to their store for a costumer. but she knew I'd come in for it, I always do. ;)
Then stopped at a local $5 dollar store and saw they had a huge wheel barrow full of games at $5 brand new. While nothing exciting I picked out two I was missing.
3DS
- Moshi Monsters: Katsuma Unleashed
NDS
- Wipeout 2
They also got in a bunch of Easter Skylanders from last year. I was on the fence about buying them but figured WTH.
And last while out in Madison game hunting a couple weeks ago I saw this game being sold for $50 and thought WTH....
I looked it up on Ebay and sure enough that's what it was selling for, so I checked Gamestop and they still sold it for $17 so I tracked down a copy. ;)

So much jealous! Which one did you get?
It's the 1989 4-player cabinet.
It's honestly something I've always wanted but never thought I'd be able to own. As silly as it sounds, this was an 8 year old turf's dream come true. It's one of the few arcade memories I destinctly remember. I've always wanted this game.

After many months of waiting, my Clannad Kickstarter Limited Edition has finally arrived! ;D ;D ;D
Could anyone suggest where to add this in the database? It was offered to be shipped worldwide through the Kickstarter campaign, but Sekai Project (the ones responsible for the Kickstarter and official localization) is based in America. Should I put it in PC [NA]?

Hm, good question. It's considered just an "English" release, and we don't really have anything that broad as far as I know. I guess PC [NA] works for me if it works for others.

Finally after traveling to pick it up and testing all I could here it is. All of this was free from an abandoned apartment that my step father tends to (he is the maintenance man of around 300-500 apartments, I believe, and gets first dibs on what's left in abandoned apartments). The PSP is a model 3001 and was found with a puffed out/internally corroded battery pack so I was unable to test it and I do not have a Xbone to test the 2 games but since they were found without the system chances are they will not play. every other item shown is in full working tested condition, and were found buried under random junk in the apartment they were found in. (sorry for sideways pics)

Someone left all that stuff in an abandoned apartment? Damn you got lucky sir.

That's a strange batch of games to happen upon. Seems very specific and across many platforms, it must have belonged to another game collector.

I'm guessing so too, their are a bunch of collectors around my area that I know about. I'm guessing that it was a college student who either dropped out or whatever, about half the apartments he (my step-dad) watches are college students. I saw a few pictures of the room and to be honest it was probably for the best, you can clearly tell this person is going down the path of being a hoarder. probably just forgot about them under the junk or in containers.

Another day another garage sale :D
There was nothing exceptional but i still come back home with a few games to put in my collection (and a strange little surprise).
PS1 :
Micro Maniacs (CIB)
Vanishing Point (CIB)
1001 Pattes (A Bug's Life) - Platinum (CIB)
Suikoden (just have the disc and the front cover, but i don't mind since i already have a CIB version in my collection, i will probably offer that one)
Kula World (Backcover & manual missing but i got it for free with two next PS2 games so i don't really mind)
PS2 :
La Planete au Trésor (Treasure Planet) (CIB)
Def Jam: Fight for NY (CIB)
PC :
Terminator 3: La Guerre des Machines (War of the Machines) (CIB)
Lego Indiana Jones: La Trilogie Originale (The Original Adventures) (CIB)
Spider-Man: Allié ou Ennemi (Friend or Foe) (CIB)
Defender of the Crown (CIB)
Max Payne 2 (CIB)
GameCube :
Freeloader (i don't have the manual... if there is one to have)
Two Official Guide: Call of Duty Black Ops 2 & Final Fantasy XIII-2.
A few things for my Lord of the Rings Collection (it was a pack for 10€): The two "Special Extended 4 DVD Edition" box for La Communauté de L'Anneau (The Fellowship of the Ring) & Les Deux Tours (The Two Towers), The Hobbit in 2 Audio CD read by Dominique Pinon (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0684500/) (that i've already have but i know a kid or two who don't like to read so maybe i will try to make them listen to it instead since they like that series) and the British second edition (from 1979) for The Lord of the Rings.
Then the little surprise, i was helping an old man put his boxes on the table and unpack them, then at the bottom of one the box we found 4 Four Player Adaptater for the Game Boy and they're still in a pretty good state, two of the boxes have a few little bumps here and there but everything is inside (they doesn't even seem to have been opened before). He didn't even know that he had them (and especially four of them, one i would have understand but four :o), i told him i wanted to buy them but he didn't accept any money from me and give all four boxes to me for free... :-[ , i will just keep one for my collection and probably gift the other three.
And on my way out, i found the Glee Season 1 & 2 pack, i don't really know that series but i heard both good and bad things about it so i guess i have to try by myself to see if i like it.

Downloaded Fatal Frame II from the PSN last night. I'm glad I held out on purchasing this since the recent flash sale that's been going on drops the digital price to $1. I'll take that over a $50 PS2 copy any day.

yes you cant beat that price, but there is just a certain type of satisfaction having that orginal hard copy in your collection haha. I dont do drugs, but since i've started collecting thats what it feels like.

Yeah I agree with that too :) I'm not saying that's a bad thing! I just personally don't have the money or space for all the games I want :'(

Did some selling at the Flea Market today with a local gamer group, so I got myself some extra cash out of it and bought some goodies. Grabbed the Zelda/Tetra doll and Project Mirai DX game at gamestop, I got the Tekken 3 and Link Between World guide at the Flea Market, and luckily stumbled on a good sale at Best Buy on the new Guitar hero. It dropped the price down to 60, my gamer club knocked it down to below 50, and I had 15 dollars in certificates, so I was able to buy the game for about 35 bucks. Perfect price to me!

NICE snag on that Konami Classics V2. I've been hunting for that one for quite a while now. :P
I hadn't planned on leaving the house today as well but ended up being out and about most of the day. Towards the end of the day I ended up at Meijer looking for plastic bins with drawers. I found a couple that I was interested in but they weren't the right color so we decided to drop by the electronics section to see if there was anything good. I ended up finding an incorrectly discounted Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer bundle. The non-bundle version was on sale this week for $29.99 but someone had put the incorrect sale sticker over the price of the bundled version and they honored the sale price for me without issue. ;D

I used to do it, it burned into my saving money for a house, even with only paying $1-4 a game.

I can't even find games I want to play in those quantities.

good jobs, good deals, low living expenses, additional monetary sources outside of work, no debt, and/or free time to search for good deals (garage sales/pawn shops/flea markets). NEVER tap into your savings to buy games. That is for the future not the present.
me I have a great job that pays me well, I have low living expenses, I "donate" plasma for some free spending cash, and I have a phenomenal relationship with the people who work at my local used game store that always cuts me deals.

We used to have like 1 game store in my city, and it was pretty good, decent prices and you could work deals. Then a big corporate used game store moved in, let's just say that their policies make me love Gamestop. The store I used to go to still sells some games, but they mostly deal in board games and trading cards now.

lol it basically happened in reverse for my area. We had gamestop first (EB games at the time). they started changing their policies and stopped carrying older games so a "big corporate used game store" moved in with sales prices that make any rational game collector cringe. but for the longest time it was LITTERALLY the only game store to buy older games so they cornered the market almost entirely (pawn shops were the only alternative) and on top of that they were pretty harsh on that ban hammer of theirs, haggling, 3 or more returns at a time, and refusing their prices on trade-ins 2 or more times on the same or different merchandise were all ban-able offences. Then the current game store moved in that I go to all the time. constant buy 5 get 6th free with sales, on any holiday you can think of, that range from buying 4 get 2 free to bogo's. on top of that you can do 1 of 2 things. get 10 stamps and get 20% off your next purchase up to $50 off (which is effectively 10%) or opting into a tiered reward system where you get permanent discounts based on how much you spend yearly, but it removes your ability to get stamps. As of this year I am the only person in their entire store that gets the highest % of 30% off.

I'm only averaging about 3 to 5 games per week this year, and solely because there's a shop near me that has thousands of games and he let's me have most them for $10, and sometimes $5 a piece just depending on how many copies he has left. Otherwise, I wouldn't be getting much of anything. Not making much money right now, and gaming hunting is a lost cause. Plus my want list is so specific now, there's no way I could pull in a big haul without spending huge which I've never really done and don't plan on ever doing.
-
They outlawed cash for blood donations in CA. Instead they'll give you stuff like free movie tickets or a coupon for a free pizza or something.
Otherwise I'd be down there every week, lol.

As far as I'm aware, in Texas, it's strictly donation. You get a cookie and a juice box though I think, but that's because you need nourishment of some sort after donating.

Plasma is different from blood ;) its illegal to sell blood as blood is not used in for profit medications/pills. plasma on the other hand is sold by the "donation" clinics to drug manufacturers for profit so they are allowed (forced?) to compensate you and the red blood cells are piped back into your body.

After 2 and a half weeks of waiting, i finally got Eternal Sonata for the Ps3. This game is getting pricey here and this was one of the last to find still in an affordable price.
It came with absolutely no scracthes and good condition overall.
It seems that finally the brazilian people are starting to take good care of their games, thank God.
You guys couldn't imagine the horror, how badly people used to handle games here.
It's an almost impossible mission to find original Ps1 and Ps2 games unscratched. Not to mention SNES and Sega Mega Drive carts.
Oh God, the horror.

I just went to my local dump store and picked up this baby for just €3!
Granted, it's in a somewhat rough shape, and there's no controller, memory card or games to go with it, but €3 for the system is still a steal!
King's Day is coming up, maybe I can snatch a cheap controller there :)

I have no idea what you call it in English, but with dump store I meant a store where you can drop off your old stuff, and they then re-sell it (thrift shop? I don't know...).
I didn't even think of it being a Dutch holiday when I wrote about King's Day ;D. Basically, it's a Dutch holiday where we celebrate the King's birthday (it has been known as Queen's day up until a few years ago when Princess Beatrix passed on the crown to her son). One of the biggest traditions on King's Day is the huge amount of flea markets happening literally everywhere. Almost every town has a flea market on King's Day. I should be able to find a controller somewhere then :).
Did that answer your questions? Also, thanks for the welcome :)

I figured about the "dump store". I like that. I actually call it "Trash Digging" when I go out to dump stores.
The King's Day? I had no idea what that was about. For all I know Europeans may have another day of the week. :o

Gamestop was having a sale on PS3s and 360s so I finally picked up a Xbox. Then bought Infinite Undiscovery, N3: Ninety-Nine Nights and Operation Darkness. I also picked up Rodea the Sky Soldier, Pikmin 3, Super Mario All-Stars, and Digimon All-Star Rumble.

And I assumed King's day was just my birthday.

Got a few games today. Unfortunately my source charges $25 for any longbox PS1 game because they consider them a "boxed" game, like an NES boxed game. Nevertheless, $25 is a pretty decent deal compared to the now going rate for In The Hunt. Also, Parappa 2 and MC Kids.
There's another "rare" gem I'm probably going back for soon but I'll save that for when/if I get it.

I mentioned a unique trade I was working on a few weeks back. It has been completed.
After I posted my trade list on here for a couple weeks, I moved it also to Nintendo age. I got hit up with a trade request for a big chunk of my Gamecube games. I told him what I wanted for them (which was around $225). He then asked if I was still looking for Magic Knight Rayearth which I excitedly said yes. Fast forward to this morning and its in my hands. My white whale game that I have been looking to replace since the early days of the PS2 is mine!

Indeed is rare and for that price it was a real bargain me in the other hand decided to gave some love to my old Game Boy with three titles that never played before these are Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wario_Land:_Super_Mario_Land_3), I have been playing the second part of this one with my daughter so decided to see the Wario's version, Duck Tales 2 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DuckTales_2) cause am not that crazy to pay more than 100 bucks for the NES version and Motocross Maniacs (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motocross_Maniacs) this one because saw a good review of it at Youtube, will have a week of vacations and the best way to play anywhere it's with my GBA also didn't pay that much for the three games, only $ 25.27 ;D

How about this?
I've been waiting for this since Christmas! My dad got it for us as a family gift, but it was still being restored. Thankfully, it's finally here!
A restored Blackwater 100 pinball machine! Produced by Bally Midway, this machine was unique in that you start out with 3 balls. This mechanic was critised however, and there's a software update available which limits you to one ball at a time at all times. Luckily, we don't have that software version :) . And I even have the original manual with it and everything! Granted, that manual is in terrible shape, but at least I have it :) .
The machine was kept as original as possible, which is why the casing has lost part of its colour. Heck, even the coin slot still takes guldens (the previous Dutch currency, now replaced by the euro). It's on free play though, so that's not an issue.
Sadly, of course it was too good to be true. He restored the Suzuki logos by putting stickers with new logos over the original painted logos, and of course those stickers got loose after hitting them with a ball once. A stupid design choice if you ask me, but whatever.
Worst of all, two of the five paddles broke down as soon as the guy who restored it left. This makes racking up points a lot harder. The sad part is that these paddles are built in with parts that were produced specifically for this machine, so those parts are no longer available. So fixing them is very difficult (and that may also explain why they don't work now). But we already contacted the guy who restored it, and he'll probably come in to fix it soon. Other than that, I'm super happy with it! Definitely the gem of my collection!...until I move out and I can't take it with me :P
EDIT: Never mind, it's working now. Apparently the whole problem was a loose wire...
ANOTHER EDIT: Never mind, now all the flippers on the left broke down. Guess we'll just have to call in the mechanic. Also, I know the plastic is old, but we literally hit a hole in the plastic with one of the balls. We had to take out the entire playing field to get the ball back. I know the plastic is old, but for it to do that, wow...
-
NICE! I wish I could have a pinball machine of my own, but alas they are too expensive and to space consuming.
-

I know, we specifically saved space for this. And the pricing is probably why we barely received any other gifts :P. Thankfully, my dad has a lot of nostalgia for it, so he's willing to pay for it. Heck, looks like he found his passion. He now wants to get a photoplay machine too! No idea where to put it or how to pay for it, but whatever :p.

I just got a boxed copy of Dune 2000 (PC) for $1 at an overstock / outlet store here called Yard Sale USA. I always loved Command and Conquer, so it was a nice cheap find.

Wanted this one for a while. According to PlayStationCollecting, it's amongst some of the rarest PS1 games.... boy. Can't say that I've ever seen it in the wild, or anywhere in person, that's why I had to finally just buy it online.
-
Had a pretty good day today roaming around downers grove, hitting up trade places. That copy of resident evil 2 is like almost perfect case wise and it has all original inserts included, only paid $20. And the resident evil 4 black label for gamecube same thing, only paid $10. Also not that its a big deal at all, but that copy of Pryzm has the comic book originally included in mint condition.

Picked up something I've been meaning to get for a while now, Tales of Graces f (PS3). Found a copy locally for a decent enough price and in good condition. Probably going to start playing it soon. The box art for Tales of games sure are nice. :D
You could make a whole topic on how great the boxart for Tales games are! My personal favorite is Symphonia on the GameCube. :)

Mmmmm yes. Suddenly I have the urge to buy a Tales art book. :o Must resist urge to spend money! :'(
This one looks soooo nice. That reminds me, I found a second copy of The Art of Tales of Symphonia ( http://vgcollect.com/item/44706 ) in case anyone's interested in it...

Had some really crazy pick ups this week and for the first time a game I feel weird owning... :o
While looking on a face book resale site I see this and they wanted a reasonable price for it. A Xbox 360 Neon display Sign. Yes it is from an original display and its in great shape.
Wii
For some reason this game has been shooting up in price, so I found a Gamestop that had one brand new with controller and they sold it to me at the used price. :)
- Fishing Resort
PS2
Saw this at a local used game store for only $5
- Drakengard
Found a Tiger LCD hand held at a thrift store for $1.
- Star Trek the Next Generation
T16
Picked up this at a decent price. Not often I get a new Turbografx game. :)
- Raiden
SFAM
And last two extremely rare games I almost feel weird owning. I contacted a seller (who was also a collector) who had 3 of the 4 "Adult" Super Famicom games complete in box. After talking to him he made me a great deal on all 3, I got 2 this week in the mail I assume the 3rd will come this week. I pretty much paid less then one was worth for all 3. (I think the guy just wanted to get rid of them. lol)
- SM Chokyoshi Hitomi 2: Remix
- SM Chokyoshi Hitomi 3
The 3rd game's picture on the box is highly disturbing and the back is so nasty I don't think I could even show it, Even the Manual is disturbing. They are pretty much Text Adventure games and seeing they are in Japanese I could barley even play them. I tested them and they work that's really all I really wanted to do with them. I did research on these and they where released in the mid 90s and where limited to 5000 copies (if even that many exist today is unknown.) They where only sold mail order or "specialty shops" in Japan only. To get past the Super Famicom Lockout they cannibalized other cheap Super Famicom Carts to make these. (you can see the original label underneath the label they made.) I remember Soera pointing this game out a long time ago and when I saw it I thought is was some homebrew but after looking into their history I feel they are part of the SFAM library kinda like Bubble Bath Babes is to the NES/Fam but not part of the main collection, more of oddity to Nintendo's Super Famicom history. Definitely the rarest Super Famicom Games I now own. Maybe I should take them to my local used game store and see what they would offer for them, defiantly would be a funny reaction. lol I think I like these games for the shock value more then anything else. :P
Garage sales should be starting up shortly around here, I've already hit a couple and the only Video Game thing I even saw was a PS1 controller. (no I didn't buy it) I hope next week the weather will warm up enough to make it really worth hitting the sales again. :D

Hulkbuster - Disney Infinity 3.0 Figure
Ultron - Disney Infinity 3.0 Figure
I found all of these at a Best Buy on the way back from a flea market we went to. They were all marked as clearance and priced at $4.99 each ($4.00 after GCU was taken off ;D). They had several more listed at that price but were out of stock on them including Sam & Quorra from Tron, Mulan (who I thought I had but actually don't :P), and the cast of Star Wars Rebels. Most of the Star Wars characters were priced at $8.99 as well as Disgust and Sadness from Inside Out so it was curious why only half the line was discounted but the others weren't. The new releases like Black Panther, Ant-Man, Boba Fett and the LightFX Best Buy exclusive Anakin were all stickered as normal price (which is to be expected since they only just came out).
Best Buy was closed on Sunday because of Easter so I couldn't run up to my local store to see if they had any of the ones that one store was sold out of. We checked the website last night and the sold out ones all called up as being $4.99 but I checked it again Sunday morning and they all reverted back to $13.99 so I'm wondering if it was a special weekend price. :-\

One of the reasons I got into game collecting is that magical moment when you spot something that you've been on the hunt for, fr what seems like forever, and your heart seems to stop. That happened today. I drove on the opposite end of town to a game store I've actually never been to that opened a few months ago. The store itself was nothing too special aside from a few rarities that I've never seen in person, mostly import stuff. As I'm browsing the stores selection, I glance up athe a wall of controllers and accessories and spot this:
(http://i749.photobucket.com/albums/xx131/bikingjahuty/20160327_181735_zps7h8ndjl5.jpg) (http://s749.photobucket.com/user/bikingjahuty/media/20160327_181735_zps7h8ndjl5.jpg.html)
I've been after a PS1 Konami Justifier for a couple of years now, after finding out that there are a handful of PS1 light gun games that will only work with it. Despite this, it is a fairly rare accessory and I have never seen it in person until today. Being neon green it immediately jumped out among the black and grey controllers. Even better, the shop charged me about half of what it goes for on ebay! Finally adding this to my accessory to my collection is quite awesome.

Got my Hyrule Warriors Legends in today along with the Gamestop exclusive character book, which is mostly just a few nearly cardboard pictures of Linkle, Tetra, and The King lol Does have a piece or two of concept art for Linkle, not sure if it's new or not, but it shows her in a more traditional Hero of Time outfit, sword, shield, and seems abit older. One of the outfits was pretty cool looking actually if they wanted it to be her adult version.

I hate buying new games from Gamestop, not just because Amazon and Best Buy are cheaper, but because the company consistently screws up preorders.
But stupid preorder exclusives make me fall for the stupid trap of preordering with them. Every time they have a preorder exclusive like this, they never have enough to fulfill all preorders.
-

Aw, that sucks. The branches I go to usually have a few extra over the number of preorders, but of course, it also depends as some people preorder like the night before, which makes it impossible for the distributor to know how many bonuses to send.
Always best to go as soon as you can to get the bonus. That and/or become friendly with the people who work there so they know to put one aside for you along with your game.

Since I got the Best Buy Gamers Club membership, I almost never go to Gamestop unless I have to, because it's so much cheaper to do so. I apparently got lucky on this as I only pre-ordered Legends like 2 weeks ago when I heard there was a special little character book with it. Honestly, not too big of a deal since it's 16 cardboard like pages. Only kinda like it cause they show some Linkle concept art lol The rest are mostly just the 3D renders of Tetra, Toon Link, and the King along with some extra bits like talking about the story for Legends.
To add to getting Legends today, saw Ocarina of Time 3D at Best Buy, the select version and grabbed that for the collection. Again, Best Buy Gamers Club. 100% worth it with the deals you get lol

I never see Balloon Fight, Clu Clu Land, Ice Climber, Mario Bros, or Stack-Up. For a long time I never saw Urban Champion, but now I know a place that has like 10 copies of that. I think Volley Ball is the most uncommon sports one.

I think the character artbook is a Gamestop pre-order exclusive; GS seems like the only place that gets exclusive pre order stuff, like the metal Majoras Mask pin for codename steam.

Sometimes I go into a situation unprepared, and I get so upset afterward.
Normally, and this applies to yard sales and pawn shops and such, when I've got a stack of games that don't have marked prices, I like to know before I ask how much I'm willing to pay overall. This is good for the situation where they want $20 for a $5, but $10 for a $50 game, it makes that overall purchase justifiable.
I went to a pawnshop the other day and asked about a stack of games and they said $30 to me, I'm used to them telling me individual prices so I got flustered because I wasn't prepared and asked the lady if she could break that down because there was a game or two I didn't care so much about. I wound up putting back most of the games because she decided to ask the manager to come and price the games, which was just more confusing, the price for all of them wound up jumping to like $60. So I only bought 4 games and spent $8, and I'll probably go back Thursday and see if I can get a deal for some of the other games I left behind. I don't want to put this on my wife, but I don't like going to pawn shops with my wife because she either tries to rush me out of the shop or makes me feel like she is trying to rush me out of the shop.
So... my pickups
Harvest Moon: Magical Melody (Wii)
Destroy All Humans! (Xbox)
Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows (Xbox)
Assassin's Creed (360)

Good haul today and all for under $80. I got the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player with all wires and parts in box for only $14.

My parents were cleaning out their bedroom for some remodeling and they had a stack of board games and stuff when I went by to visit and fix some stuff. My wife started looking through the stack and saw a CIB Bentley Compu-vision and asked my parents if we could take it. They didn't care, said they never used it. I didn't even know we had it, and I've always been about video games.
I was surprised to see no one has listed one on here, it seems fairly common for one of those old dedicated consoles.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are normal days off from my job so I really enjoy hunting for new games. This been so-so.
Tuesday I picked up:
Little Nemo Dream Master (Complete)
And two low end SNES games
Thursday (Today):
ROB Amiibo
Resident Evil Zero (GC) came in the mail.
I'm hoping next week is a better haul.

Found a new Buy and Sell store that just opened up on 7th of last month and pick up a few games. It sucks because they actually have a decent amount of games for good prices, including buy 2 get the third free on any video game, but I can tell once people find out about it, it's going to go to shit. We'll see how long the selection lasts for!
Tales of Vesperia (Xb360) - $15.95 - Have yet to see this game in the wild
Alan Wake (Xb360) - $10.95 - Excited to play this on the Xbone since it's a backwards compatible game now
Dissidia Final Fantasy (PSP) - Free - I've been expanding my Square collection as of late, so I'm happy to pick this up. Not to often you see PSP games around here either

Recently bought a Dualshock controller and a 3rd party memory card for my PS1. Now I just need a game for it :P
Also managed to get More Brain Training from Dr. Kawashima: How Old Is Your Brain? with it for free. Sadly, it's without its original box, which makes it my first DS game without its box, but hey, it's still a fun little piece of DS history.
Also went to my local library today, and got an idea. Libraries here in the Netherlands also have certain games available to rent. Sadly, the selection is rather limited, especially in the smaller libraries. Usually they have nothing but licensed games and shovelware. But I went in there today, and wrote down every title of every Wii, DS and 3DS game they had on the shelves. Then I went to the computer and checked the online catalogue. Turns out one game was missing from that catalogue: Titanic Mystery on DS. So I took it to the counter, the lady scanned it, and indeed, it was taken out of circulation and then by mistake put back onto the shelves. Normally the library sells books and other media that have been taken out of circulation for 50 cents a piece, but the lady was just like 'Take it and don't come back'. So now I got myself Titanic Mystery for free :) . No idea whether it's any good, but we'll see. The more important thing is that I should go check on more libraries now!

Some kind soul (Diamond State Gaming on YouTube) bought me a fantastic gift. I got Overlord today. That makes 2 games left for a full set.
