If you won the lottery today what would be the first gaming item you would buy?
For me it would be a Nintendo branded prototype, like Super Mario or Mario Kart... unless I could find a copy of NBA Elite for the Xbox 360 but so far none have turned up.

I would add a dedicated game room/wing to my house. It would have built in shelves all around the room and glass cases for display. Then I would fill my dream with every game and system I could find. I would start with finishing the NES library including Gold and Gray NWC carts and Stadium events. I would buy stuff like a fool/asshole. Finally, I would video it and put it on the internet. I always wanted to be internet famous. ;D

I'd go ahead and buy the Mother 3 gba micro, damn the cost, rather than waiting for a cheap one to get listed. If I don't find a cheaper one by the time I get my master's, Ronalopolis has said that I can get that for my graduation. Of course, I'm still in my first semester, so that's a while from now.

After I quit work and bought a house. It'd be a Wii U, a 3DO, and an Atari Lynx. Those are at the top of my wishlist. Oh, and a copy of DuckTales 2 for NES and Mega Man Legends 2 for PS1.

Aside from completing several collections of mine, the one main thing I would buy would be the Elemental Gearbolt Assassin's Briefcase. I love Elemental Gearbolt and it would be super cool to own something that rare. I also would buy a crap load of arcade cabinets, start collecting for the PC-Engine, and probably be on Gamesniped every single day lol.

Stadium events is what it was. A stupid power pad game that people spend WAY too much on. Something that if it was in my collection wouldnt even be noticeable without some sort of assistance from myself to make it such.

The games I missed the first time around, such as DuckTales 2, Tales of Destiny 2...I'd replace my Chrono Trigger strategy guide (stolen from me back in 8th grade :<)
Probably would get all the RotK games I missed...
But before that, I'd pay off my credit cards and buy a house. xD I'd probably keep my job, though, I get decent healthcare through them, even if my pay isn't fabulous.
Then I'd run off to Japan, buy all the things, then go on a tour of the Disney Parks of the world...then go everywhere else I want to go.

I'd probably go nuts on ebay and buy all the games/consoles I always wanted but didn't want to spend those crazy prices for. I'd finish off my NES collection including all the holy grail games.
All though I must say I still would have second thoughts on a NWC90 cart (grey or gold) at the trolling prices I've seen em go at lately. Even if I had a hundred million dollars I still cant see myself paying a hundred thousand dollars for one.

The troll bidding is crazy. Apparently there were a few that recently/legitimately sold for 17,000 that went for about 4grand before based on the characteristics. The troll bidding is working. It's sad.

Just thought of something, and this is only if I won some huge Powerball jackpot (400-million or more). I would fund the creation of Shenmue 3 and try and get as much of the original team to work on it as possible. Of course I'd try and get other investors in the project, but would not mind dropping half my fortune to see this game finally made. I figure after it was complete, I'd still have several million left over, enough to live very comfortably for the rest of my life and I'd have Shenmue 3 :D

And I could actually do it, because I'd already be rich and so it'd be a labor of love, not for money. Sell items at prices people can afford. Stock those systems and games that other mainstream shops tell you "aren't popular enough to buy".
I'd also make it fun by throwing in a few arcade games and pinball machines. As well as having gaming tournaments and high score boards.
But I'd also have used CDs and records, used DVDs and VHS, comic books, and other cool retro stuff in addition to the games. Make it the ultimate one-stop-shop for collectors. My area SORELY needs something like this.

I've dreamed like this too. You'd need a tax write off if you had that kind of money, so a game store would be perfect. Sell stuff at a reasonable price. Something else I think would be awesome is sprinkling in some rare stuff once a month or so. I would have to buy it off of ebay to put in in the store, but the word of mouth advertising would be unreal. Don't tell anyone. Don't advertise it. Just drop a seriously hard to find game on the shelf ever month or so. It would keep people hunting in your store.
