About a handful of times since I've been collecting, I have had periods of time, usually lasting a month or so where I am showered with excellent deals on pretty rare and uncommon games. Last week it was some very hard to find DS games and today...well, take a look.
I had an event to go to way up north and there are a few excellent game stores in the area I was in so of course I had to swing by and take a look at them. Ended up finding some really rare games at them, all well below ebay price. The one that floored me the most was City of Lost Children which I have never seen until today in person and it was going for about half of Ebay. Also was very excited to find a Time Crisis Project Titan big box as well since these things are hard to find.

Dang I got lucky! I was at a toy store today and they had MadWorld brand new just lying around in a bargain bin for €8,50! This game always looked interesting to me, and now that thanks to Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance I've fallen in love with PlatinumGames I just had to get it! What a steal!

Also picked up a Wii U screen protector. I don't even have a Wii U yet, but I'm going to get one in the not-so-distant future and €3,50 isn't much for a screen protector and stylus.
I finally got a SNES today :D I caved in and reminded myself. All this time SNES always kept slipping me lol. I'm so excited to have all my childhood memories back in my collection. :)
I also got Super Mario World cart with a Manual. I might piece out a box separate down the road.
Does anyone have any reccomendations for lesser known, odd ball games to seek for SNES? :) I already know a lot of the cult classics but I want to keep my eye out for lesser known gems that are worth trying :D

This is an expensive road to go down, that SNES collecting.
You can't go wrong with the Disney games. I'm big on those right now. Aladdin, Magical Quest, Maui Mallard
Plok is another good one.
Then there's all the usual suspects: Super Metroid, Super Punch-Out!!, Yoshi's Island, Link to the Past... etc

That's one way to knock the big boys off the list.
Man, I hope it works. Everyone should play Little Samson. It's a little easy, but it's a damn fine game.

Got it on eBay I'll give it a proper review in another thread.
Went to "Horrorfest" here locally at the flea market, and came across this guy for $20! :D

Jeez, I hope you have lots of room. I have those CEs and know how big that really is...

-Halo 5: Guardians- If you like Halo, you'll enjoy it. If you don't, don't bother. It's still Halo.
-Halo: The Master Chief Collection - Halo 1-4 Remastered in HD. Halo 1 being the Anniversary Edition.
-The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing (digital download) - Plays a lot like Diablo or Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance in that it's a hack-n-slash RPG, with a big focus on loot. But set in a gothic, Victorian-English setting battling monsters and demons and such.
-Rare Replay - A collection of Rare games from the ZX Spectrum up through XBox 360 titles, including NES and N64 offerings, among others.
-Ryse: Son of Rome - Fantastic action-game that's a bit quick to play-through by modern standards. Think God of War, but more cinematic, and set in Ancient Rome rather than Ancient Greece.

That is pretty much my maximum price point for the XBONE.
Picked up 3 Xbox S Controllers from Salvation Army for under $10! Two green, one black :)

The funny thing is that the RE5 Steelbook is supposed to be for the regular RE5 collector's edition, so you got pretty lucky that they stuck the gold edition in there ( estenitally a GOTY version of RE5).

Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition Steel Book

Am curious to know how much did you pay for Haunting Ground also if it came with the manual ? ???
$4.95, and yes it did have the manual.
You got the Zelda CDI games for free? I mean, it's the only way anyone should get them for how ridiculously expensive they are and also being hot garbage, but that's real cool you got them that way. They are the only Zelda things I will not get for my collection, even if the art for the first two games aren't half-bad lol
Went to a retro gaming meetup today and umm, well I went a little crazy. Everything was a great deal, but yeah, there were so many excellent games I wanted that this was literally being selective with just what you see here. All the console boxes are just boxes with no consoles, but they were all free, even the PS1 rental case was free.

Ori & the blind forest
Very World of Warcraft day today. Nearly bought the entire line of games, but the Salvation Army I found the older Standard/Burning Crusade Battle Chest with a guide in it overprices their stuff. 10 bucks for an unusable game and kinda shitty box wasn't worth. They also had Wrath of the Lich King for 10 bucks which is dumb. The other Salvation Army had the first two for 3 bucks a pop and I got Mists of Pandaria for 2 bucks at another thrift shop, so a very nice deal.

It's nice to see I'm not the only one that collects PC games :)

Been a PC gamer for years, but never really kinda took the plunge into active PC collecting, but lately I felt like sorta diving into it, especially since PC games are almost always pretty cheap, especially compared to most other stuff since a lot of PC games are mostly useless within the past like...10 years, or when you get older, are unplayable because of age. Found a nice little stack over the past week to get me started along with the few I already had.

I'd say they are mostly useless because most of them are bound to Steam, Origin, whatever...
Takes away so much joy and fun of collecting recent pc games. I gave up, when Steam went big a few years ago. Never looked back, never had regrets.
Don't they have a system now that if you have the disc-version, Steam or GoG will recognize it, and give you the digital version for free? I thought I saw something like that on GoG, at least. So I'd assume Steam would do it too.
Looks like very few games are eligible for that atm: https://www.gog.com/reclaim
Steam does not offer this with original cd-keys on games.

Steam does that too, but with only a few selected titles, all Valve titles can be activated of course but not only them, i can't seem to find the exact list of those games on steam anymore but i remember Dark Messiah being part of it since that's how i got the game on Steam. I know that some others games like Mount & Blade for example offered a conversion of their cd-key to a steam key if you activated the game on the developer site (but that was a few years ago, i don't know if it's still available).
I also test all Cd-key from the Ubisoft games directly on Uplay since some of them can be activated on that platform even though there is no information about Uplay anywhere on the game case.
