Report any issues with any listings here. See something that doesn't belong? Incorrect images, or images with watermarks? The staff will look into any reports and fix them. Please provide links if possible.

NBA Elite 11 does appear to have some physical copy available. The title or description may need to be changed to reflect exactly what those are.
Playboys the Experience seemed to have been a browser game, likely never was supposed to be a PS3 game. Either way, it doesn't exist so away it goes.
Stalker 2 is a cancelled PS3 game. If/when it ever gets finished, you can bet it won't get a physical PS3 release, so the entry was removed.

Those physical release games in digital category is still an error. I am not certain it was decided what to do with those. We left off here:
https://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,7418.0.html
We know this to be true:
- physical items should not be in a digital category
The question is:
- do physical items for digital games belong in the physical game category or swag?
Potentially related: https://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,7411.0.html
I moved Thumper into Swag-Soundtrack category.

In Europe it retained the original Japanese title of Puzzle Bobble, but not in North America. If you have the game with "Puzzle Bobble" not written in Japanese, you have a European cart.

Second point, not necessarily. Puzzle Bobble has more boots than a lot of other MVS carts.

True, that's probably the most often faked MVS game, along with SVC Chaos. I just meant for genuine carts that if it has an original label saying "PUZZLE BOBBLE" that it can't be a NA version. If it's real but has a fake label, then it's basically impossible to tell where it came from.

I'm about to put in an edit on an item that is ambiguous
Boxing/Punch-Out!
https://vgcollect.com/item/12968
The second image should be removed. The listing describes 2 separate items.
These should be two separate listings with the above being Punch-Out! and the below being Boxing, I attempted to reshuffle images so that it better follows what it should be, but I expect the images to be unacceptable, so I'll try a different set of images if they get rejected.

The Boxing one is OK for now. Ideally it should have box front and back on the entry, but I know some of these LCD/electronic games like this have blank backs, or the back is the same as the front.

I need some help with naming, guys. There are two versions of the Japanese DOL-001 release Gamecube in Black, Silver and Orange. They have the same UPC and item number, the only difference is the box art, which shows the GameCube at different angles. I'm not sure how to differentiate the two based on the angle of the shot. (Maybe "overhead" and "head-on"?)
Check out the links and see the images of the side of the box to see DOL-001 vs DOL-101

From your above naming.
Angle 1 has copyright 2001, no ProLogic logo on bottom.
ref: http://www.ebay.com/itm/152239948868
Angle 2 has no copyright year on bottom. It does have Dolby ProLogic II logo on bottom.

It does seem the bottom is the only thing with different text.

ref: http://www.ebay.com/itm/182479450689
It does seem the bottom is the only thing with different text.
I might just do the Dolby ProLogic II logo as the way to differentiate the two consoles.

Dark Souls - PS3 Limited Edition [NA]
https://vgcollect.com/item/89194 (https://vgcollect.com/item/89194)
This edition does not exist in North America. Image on this database entry is also the European version. Entry should be deleted.
We got the Collector's Edition, which is correct: https://vgcollect.com/item/19308 (https://vgcollect.com/item/19308)
Kid Icarus Uprising AR Card 016: Dark Pit
https://vgcollect.com/item/123562 (https://vgcollect.com/item/123562)
I made a booboo by uploading a picture of the card under "Item/cart/disc" category instead of "front cover". It made more sense that way, but when searching for it the results show "No Art". Please delete the "Item/cart/disc" entry of the image.

Edit approved, but it needs a better picture.
Also I see you are adding PC games but not using the correct art. For example this Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri

You have put the inner jewel case front and back as the art. You should put the box art instead.

A user made an entry for Assassin's Creed for X360 [EU] with the UK box art. We don't have a UK variant in the database yet. However, the creator didn't designate it as a UK release and put the PEGI rating in instead (and entered it as 18 rather than 16).
https://vgcollect.com/item/124306
Was wondering if it makes sense to change it to the UK listing or should it be merged with the PEGI entry already in the database?
https://vgcollect.com/item/20154
EDIT: Metshael got all the dupes this user made (and is still making) :-\

I see that he's starting to use ERSB rated cover for his new items so i don't think he really care about what he add to his collection, since we don't have it in the database i think we should edit that item to be the UK release (and if one day that little [UK] tag bother him, he can still create another item for his game or add the PEGI rated cover we already have in the database to his collection).

guasavy and tatsu1980 have created many duplicates. I have PM them both to let them know they have been making these and we have had to remove them. I am reviewing tatsu1980's collection now to see what other dupes there are. Guasavy wasn't so bad, just bad timing.

You'd be correct except that's listed under 3DS [EU] and not 3DO. ;)
A quick Google of that Item Number brought me to this site... http://www.nesworld.com/article.php?system=3ds&data=3dsreleaselist_eur ...that seems to establish that there is a FIFA 13 on 3DS [EU] and a double check on GameFaqs got me these images https://www.gamefaqs.com/3ds/670989-fifa-soccer-13/images/1263150 so that's probably a safe entry that just needs some tweaking/edits.

Yes there are only in your collection right now. You can submit edit to replace the artwork that needs to be in the entry. If you want us to delete an image on an entry, then post which, or to delete or merge an entry with another. But changing artwork can be done by users so have at it! :D

For this game, would the the title be Avatar: Le Dernier Maître de l'Air: De Legende van Aang? (We squish French and Dutch in the same title)
Or something like
Avatar: Le Dernier Maître de l'Air, Avatar: De Legende van Aang?
Or should it be kept as is? The trouble with that is that the French and Dutch are saying two different things.

"Avatar: Le Dernier Maître de l'Air" and "Avatar: De Legende van Aang" are the official title translation for "Avatar: The Last Airbender", so i would probably use something like your second exemple, the full title separated by a punctuation we still don't use in title like a comma like in your exemple or maybe a slash :
Avatar: Le Dernier Maître de l'Air / Avatar: De Legende van Aang
Another thing is that Nickelodeon on top of the title, we add those Disney, Disney/Pixar and even some name (like those James Cameron's Avatar games) in title but what about that Nickelodeon ?
In any way that makes me remember another game i edited a few months ago (Reign of Fire on Xbox (https://vgcollect.com/item/85912)) and i made a mistake using a dash to separate it (a dash is used to indicate the edition of the game :-[), i will edit it once we choose how to write the title for that avatar game.

Either
Avatar: Le Dernier Maître de l'Air, de Legende van Aang
or just
Avatar: Le Dernier Maître de l'Air and put de Legende van Aang in alt-title

Edit submitted to change name to the first one. The alt name already has "Avatar: Le Dernier Maître de l'Air / Avatar: De Legende van Aang" so I'll leave it like that

I recently tried renaming the 2 Fire Emblem amiibo so that they are listed together (Just the same as what has been done with the Animal crossing, smash bros & Splatoon). I helped reformat all of these EU amiibo myself
Amiibo: Super Smash Bros. Collection - No. 17 Pit [EU] This way all the smash amiibo are listed together as well as in the numbered order
I attempted to rename the items - and they were both rejected
Amiibo: Fire Emblem - Alm and Amiibo: Fire Emblem - Celica
Right now they're listed them by the character names, separating them by about 10 pages. Can someone please explain why these changes were rejected. Is this because they're now listed under it's own Amiibo category now, are you suggesting reformatting the names AGAIN.
-
Oh I see, someone has renamed ALL of the amiibo by there name first and therefore completely scattered across ALL of our collections. You know, the original problem that I helped fix

It is usually not a great idea to try to change a barcode on something, it really gets my attention!
The issue on this is that this item was created as the German version, but we see that it has the wrong artwork. I do know that your barcode you tried to put does match what appears to be on the back_art, BUT in this case we can see from the edit history that apholyon had put the wrong artwork onto the entry!
Front and back artworks have been removed.
If this is the German version, and it actually uses the English title, then this one you can put an edit to this title to add [DE]. If it has a German title, then it should be fixed. Make a new entry for the game that you are trying to make.

I had an edit rejected to change the name from this item. https://vgcollect.com/item/125744 from "Summer Lesson: Hikari Miyamoto (Chinese Subs)" to "Summer Lesson: Hikari Miyamoto"
Can I get some clarification on why this was rejected?
https://vgcollect.com/item/125744 <- This is the Chinese Subs, released in the Taiwanese market, (which is why it has the Taiwanese rating system, and is in the [TW] category.
https://vgcollect.com/item/125739 <- This is English Subs, released in the general Asian market, which is why it has no rating system and is in the [CN] category.
The titles appear to be copied from Play-Asia.com, and I think (Chinese/English Subs) was put in there to inform the purchaser.
http://www.play-asia.com/summer-lesson-miyamoto-hikari-edition-english-subs/13/70ayih
http://www.play-asia.com/summer-lesson-miyamoto-hikari-edition-chinese-subs/13/70a957
In our site, the parenthesis are used to denote two separate entries within the same category, which is unnecessary here, as the two entries are already in different categories. If anything the subtitle information should be in the description, not in the game's title.
Thanks :)

There's a listing for Chrono Trigger in the PlayStation [NA] as it's own entry.
https://vgcollect.com/item/125450
I mean, if you only owned the that disc from FF Chronicles, I suppose it could have it's own entry. The discs say FF Chronicles, then the name of the game though. Either way, that's not an official box art. If you look at a blowup of the art, the item number (SLUS-00772) links to Guilty Gear (https://gamefaqs.akamaized.net/box/1/1/7/4117_front.jpg). Someone spliced together the Japanese art for Chrono Trigger with it, evident by the PlayStation logo in the top right.

Really, shouldn't the listing be merged with FF Chronicles? I get that you don't have the other disc, but you couldn't purchase CT by itself, it came in the Chronicles packaging. Just make a note that you only have the CT disk.
-
That's what I was leaning to in my OP. The disc says both names on it, so even if you just have one disc, it's still a part of FFCC

I'm pretty sure this conversation came up and I'm fairly certain it was trip who said exactly that. All listings on this site should represent how an item was packaged when it was sold.
I think we have had similar situations regarding controllers and such because sometimes certain accessories were only sold in bundles or something and that we shouldn't have them listed separate since they were never available separately.

Well what I think and how things work doesn't always match up. It was already a thing that pack-in items (even different games) *can* be allowed to have a separate entry. It is true of NFR things that come with a system or controller, or those situations where there are multiple games in one package such as the DOA set, GTA sets, Metal Gear Solid Essentials, etc OH and the Bayonetta on the Wii.
But the main issue here is that the site does not have the ability to link items to each other. Think of the Final Fantasy Chonicles entry as not having cart/case/manual/inserts options but instead has case/manual/FFIV CD/Chrono Trigger CD checkboxes. And then each of those 4 things can appear as search results. Even so, without that type of design, a user can still choose the pack itself and just note what they have... or as I do where I put incomplete items in my Wishlist and not collection.
I have sent a PM to the user who made the entry. I would prefer to merge it with FF Chronicles also.
-
I guess what came to mind for me was the FFXII demo that was included with DQVIII. That's a separate entry because it's easy separated from DQVIII. But Chrono Trigger has FFCC on the disc, so it seems a little strange to separate it out of it's original entry.
I don't know if that makes sense though.

Personally, I'd say keep it the way it is because there is a chance someone could only have the demo

I would keep it as Final Fantasy Chronicles: Chrono Trigger and for the artwork, use the disc artwork since the game itself has no artwork of its own, so the Final Fantasy Chronicles: Chrono Trigger's artwork would be this:
*I submitted that as an edit, so we'll see what happens
I would keep the FFXII demo exactly as it is personally. It makes note that it was included with Dragon Quest VIII and it uses the disc (the only artwork available) as the artwork.
This same thing happened a while ago, for the NA version of Bayonetta on Wii U, there is no cover art, it was bundled only with Bayonetta 2. I tried to change it a few times to the disc artwork because it had unofficial artwork. Finally I pm'ed and admin and they accepted the disc artwork as the game's artwork because that is the official (and only) artwork for the game.
-
Sounds fine with me! Though I think the image you submitted is from the greatest hits release since it has GH in the item listing. I think the black label disc actually looks a little different.

Crud, that is the Greatest Hits version, how could I have missed that? I guess the fact that it didn't have a silver top threw me off. Turns out the black label disc is extremely similar:

Slight problem, the front is different then the one i had my eye on, so no barcode for this version yet. And it has to do with the Philips part on the front, that is usually black or red bar. And it should be on the left side. I will have a look around soon.

What can you tell me about these two items? The title for 126740 is not good. What is different between it and 83490?
The difference are the languages. Just like any game here, it comes from a part of Europe, with their languages, so there could be more versions out there. The languages where [UK][ES][IT][PT].

My guess is it was a placeholder for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite: https://vgcollect.com/item/10957
The reason I say this is because when it was released in Japan it was called Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G [/size]and the entry was created in 2008, over a year before the game came out in North America.

Images removed. For this, it seems this is only available as a pack-in for specific games. It should be noted in description which items this was available as a pack-in for.
Also, any accessories should have their manufacturing name on them. So that GunCon 2 should be Sony GunCon 2.
-
Name changed. Maybe some others will know all the games the GunCon 2 was packaged with. The ones I can think of are
Time Crisis II
Time Crisis 3
Ninja Assault
Vampire Night
Time Crisis: Crisis Zone
Gun Survivor 2 Biohazard CODE: Veronica (In Japan)

Also it is Orange, so it is (at least) NA version. I see the Japanese version is black?

Not needed. 24971 is UK version, English releases do not need a title suffix. The only time it would be put as (BFFC) is if there was also an English version with a different rating system. The PEGI rated one in the db:
https://vgcollect.com/item/119295
Is the Netherlands release. I have corrected the title.
-
Sorry but you are wrong :P There are BOTH PEGI and BBFC english releases, just like Halo 3. Also the the PEGI release you have just edited doesn't look like it since there is no NL back I assume it's normal english release.
I can't find the one with english back but for eg check out this one (but I'll be looking for it to show ;)) It's an english release for skandinavia

I think what Trip wanted to say is not that both PEGI and BBFC rated version for the UK doesn't exist for Fable II but just that we doesn't need to put a suffix unless both version are added to the database and for now the UK PEGI variant have not been added (just to distinguish each version and not have the same exact title two times in the same category, they tend to be uselessly reported as duplicates... and sometimes merged together :(). Sometimes we put an [UK] suffix to an UK game when we can't find from what region the other variant of the same game in our database come from (even with the barcode some European release are hard to track ::)).
EDIT:
Here is the back (http://www.mobygames.com/game/xbox360/fable-ii/cover-art/gameCoverId,297569/) of item 119295 (https://vgcollect.com/item/119295) (the NL version, barcode: 882224719698), the back cover is in English but you can see a "Not for supply in the UK" in the bottom right side so it is not an UK variant (i think the orange thing on the front cover from our database is just a sticker directly on the box).

I had rejected your edit on this because it would have removed the cart item number from the entry.
We already know that many Nintendo games have the cart item number on the entry instead of the packaging item number. So the appropriate way to edit an entry that is "incorrect" like this one, is to make two edits: one to put in the correct item number, two to put the cart item number into description.
See the entry now that it is corrected for details.

It seems to be that Family Game Night is the name of the game and the Hasbro is there like how Disney is on other game titles. Hasbro certainly isn't the game's title, and Family Game Night the subtitle.

For this item, there were two releases of Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories with different limited edition game cards. The first release had Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Dark Magician, and Exodia the Forbidden One (DDS-001 to 003) The second release had Seiyaryu, Acid Trap Hole, and Salamandra (DDS-004 to 006). You can see on the back of the box which cards were in which.
This current entry has the box art with the wrong cards on it compared to the description, which I submitted an edit to fix. I will make a new entry and submit edits to change the names of both to (Promotional cards DDS 001-003) and (Promotional cards DDS 004-006) respectively

I think the creator of that item made a mistake typing the barcode, he put a . instead of a 3 (an easy mistake when you use the keypad), the barcode 5026555305686 is for the BBFC version of the game (back cover here (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352127207205?clk_rvr_id=1287777496379&rmvSB=true)) so the cover is right but not the rating, i've made an edit for it.

They're in the Xbox One physical Category. If it's a season pass for the digital game, shouldn't the entry be replaced by the digital game? Then again, it's a physical product... maybe it should be moved to swag or something.

Yes they should not be in the game category. Do we already have redemption cards in the db for other things? I mean, I save all my steam cards I've bought but I don't actually "collect" them.
-
What was that thread where there were PS4 games with a code in the box and the box got put into swag or something?
I feel like that's what should happen here. You buy the season pass download card, and that gives you the digital game for your collection, but the card can be a swag item.
-

It sounds like something we should discuss here:

That sounds like a plan :) I can put the thread idea in there once I can find that past PS4 thread. Maybe Deso will know what I'm talking about, I just don't remember the game's name.

Not exactly sure if this is an error since I could just be nitpicking, but the current listing for the Furi Original Soundtrack merges information from both the digital and physical releases. It has a photo of the limited edition physical version but includes the digital release date. A big difference between the two versions is that the physical release merged some of the tracks. So the digital version has 22 tracks while the physical version has 18. Would this warrant a separate listing for each release?
https://vgcollect.com/item/130393
EDIT: I also thought of adding proper scans of the front, back, and disc rather than the photo we have now.

The category is for physical items. So you can put into the description how many tracks it is. Also you can change the release date to the correct one and find the correct pictures.

Changed that entry to UK version. It exists! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162636332446
Sent PM to user informing them of the changes.
The one you put: https://vgcollect.com/item/131804
has the purple triangle, usually to mean "EU" version. Where did you get the back image? It might be a stock photo because it of that white space on the back with the Sega logo in the middle... idk. UK/FR is fine for now, but I'd like to know what exactly the item number on the case says, if it actually is EUR like you put on the entry (we know the cart is EUR for sure).

Hmm it is interesting then to have the space like that then.
Since you have this exact thing, what is the item number on the back? does it end with EUR or something else?

What size are the images that you're trying to submit? and what file format?
All the images I've tried are JPEGs, 3-5 MB in size.
I also can't seem to do any text updates... I've tried to submit the text from the back of my Pac-Man homebrew on the Fairchild channel F to no avail. And the entirely of my last attempt to make a new listing (for the Pax West variant of Ys Origin) disappeared entirely, resulting in a blank entry.

Users have reported that they have issues like this when they try to make an entry and using a large image. So two things:
1. Create the entry with just text first. Then submit edit to add pictures
but really:
2. Resize the images before putting them to the site. Note that the site is going to resize to make the maximum horizontal being 200px. So there is a plateau for image quality or original image size that ends up not making a difference in the end when the site modifies the submitted image for an entry. I tend to keep all my images I put onto the site between 400px and 800px horizontal.

Well it seems neither is correct? The box front has no spaces or hyphens between the words... and in the example of Pets from UK, it even says JIGAPIX as one word on the back:
http://www.mobygames.com/game/nintendo-ds/jig-a-pix-pets/cover-art/gameCoverId,353300/
I recommend title should be JIGAPIX and alt-name can have the name with (and without if you want) hyphens.
It seems odd that both Mobygames and Gamefaqs have this game title with hyphens in it, but the box does not.

I'm currently cleaning and completing a few entries in the Playstation 2 European section and i have a few questions before starting to submit a lot of (maybe) useless edits, i was wondering what to do with games that don't have any TLD in theirs titles, those games are usually the European version, like this one (https://vgcollect.com/item/20037), if those version exist and if they don't, it's usually the UK variant that goes into those entries, right ?
Then what if i find a game that don't have a TLD in the title and is neither a UK or a EU variant ? Should i edit the name to add the TLD (even though most people that have it in their collection does probably not own that particular variant) or should i modify the item to become the UK variant (and then submit a new item for that variant) ?
Exemples:
.hack//Mutation Part 2
https://vgcollect.com/item/19562 -> title without TLD, have German front cover and UK back cover and doesn't have any barcode to identify what variant it really is.
https://vgcollect.com/item/56028 -> "PEGI Rating" suffix in title, have UK front and back cover (barcode confirm it too)
For that exemple should we edit item 19562 to become the German variant (since it already have the German front cover) and then remove the [PEGI Rating] from item 56028, or should we merge them together and create another item for the German variant ?
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2
https://vgcollect.com/item/66795 -> item without TLD, have a PEGI front cover (like many EU variant) and a French back cover, barcode is for the French version too.
In this case the item has been created to be the French variant but no TLD was added in the title so it would be simple to edit it to add a little [FR] but since the UK variant doesn't exist in the database i'm sure many people who added that item in their collection probably didn't have that particular variant (i'm sure most people doesn't check the data of the items, they only check the title and the front cover), so if we edit it they will now have a "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 [FR]" in theirs collection.
Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia
https://vgcollect.com/item/48934 -> item without TLD, have a PEGI Front cover (again like many EU variant) and a French back cover (edited after the creation of the item), the barcode is for the French variant (again edited).
This last exemple is the worst type of item for me, since it have been edited (even by me, i added the French box text since i've seen it was now the French variant) we don't know what was created to be the original item (does it have any barcode at first, what about the back cover...), should i re submit edit to make that item become the UK variant (which is not in the database) or simply add a [FR] at the end of the title (like in the previous exemple, many people will then have a [FR] title in their collection) then submit another item for the UK variant ?
-----
I think that if the item was edited after the creation we should re edit it to become the UK variant since we don't know what was the original data of the item but if the item was not edited in any way then we should respect what was added by the creator of the item and edit it to become the variant he added in the database, for case like item 19562 (the .Hack//Mutation with a front and back cover from two different variant) when we don't know what variant it really is, i think they should also been edited to become the UK variant (or merged together if the UK variant already exist), but that's only what i think and i will let the mods have the final words on items like those.

The number one rule on a category is that no two items should have the same title. So in a case where the only release of a game is limited to one country, it needs no TLD because there is no other version. For example, there are some instances of Nintendo platform games that only had 1 release in Germany and no other release in another European country. It needs no TLD because there are no other entries that you need to differentiate from.
For EU categories, ordering would work like this:
1. EU English release
2. UK English release gets [UK]
3. other countries get their TLD
or
1. UK English release
2. Other countries get their TLD
For editing entries, I would tend to go with the history of the item. For the Naruto example, since it has the correct back image (clearly see it is not English text) and barcode is present, it is clear to be the French version. It would be allowed to put [FR] onto that title as long as the other entry is added. You can think perhaps it is unfortunate that there would be at least 20 people who would then have the wrong game into their collection, but nothing would have changed really. The other side is that many people do not care about variants or the exact game they have, so they are not effected. This is a common thing in the EU category, where people do not seem to realise (or care) that there are many different versions, likely because most just have a different cover or manual and the disc is the same.
For Ar Tonelico example. A user changed the item to FR by adding the barcode and back version. It should be reverted to the EN/UK version if it already does not exist into the database by way of replace the back art and fix the barcode. Because of this type of edit, this is the type of item that should be put into Listing Errors because an admin may not allow that type of edit. I can take care of this entry now.
EDIT: I cannot find an English EU or UK release of this game. Only France and Italy.
For .hack, I changed the titles. It seems to be the intent, Check the entries and see what you think.

Yeah i always tend to forgot that some games didn't get released in every country, so no TLD is needed when there is only one EU release, even trough it is not in English or if the title change between country, ok thank you.

That is basically what i wanted to do, when i can see what variant that game is really is i edit the title to reflect it (if no drastic change have been made in the history tab) and add a new entry for the Uk/En variant.
For Ar Tonelico example. A user changed the item to FR by adding the barcode and back version. It should be reverted to the EN/UK version if it already does not exist into the database by way of replace the back art and fix the barcode. EDIT: I cannot find an English EU or UK release of this game. Only France and Italy.
And when an item have been edited to the point where we can't know what was the original item we revert it to the UK/EN variant (if such variant still doesn't exist in the database and if such variant exist of course...). That was pretty surprising for Ar Tonelico but i just made some research and yeah there isn't any English variant of that game, the game was only released in France, Italy and Spain so i will edit the actual entry we have in the database with a [FR] and add two another entry for the [IT] and [ES] variant (when i find them).
For .hack, I changed the titles. It seems to be the intent, Check the entries and see what you think.
That's good for me, i will edit the, now, German variant with the actual German back cover and any data i can find about it.
Thank you for all your answers Tripredacus 8)

Yes, for notification purposes, I hope someday there could be some page a user could look at to show items that are in their collection that were updated or where an item they have in collection was merged with some other item. Currently if I have to do a revert on an item (as described in your quote) I will look into the Collection tab and will likely PM someone about having to change it. I think the last one I did for this was one that Blurks put an edit on a game that was made as EN/UK game, but somehow changed to a Germany release. I sent the PM to him to say that I had fixed the entry and he might need to add the version he really has if he wants. I obviously can't send a PM to everyone who has it in collection to say the entry was wrong for a long time and finally fixed. :(
But even I can tell some things are not "correct" with my own collection because of edits/merges in the past. I just haven't gone about to figure it out. The only thing I stay ontop of is the Genesis portion, but yeah... a user's collection accuracy is their responsibility and it isn't super easy to know what has changed.

Yeah, that is one feature that i would like to have on that site, knowing if an item in your collection have been edited in any way (probably not as PM, like you do it manually; and i thank you for that ;); but like you said maybe in another page where users can check those informations in they want)
But even I can tell some things are not "correct" with my own collection because of edits/merges in the past. I just haven't gone about to figure it out. The only thing I stay ontop of is the Genesis portion, but yeah... a user's collection accuracy is their responsibility and it isn't super easy to know what has changed.
Yeah my collection too need a lot of work but sadly i'm not able to add any of my games anymore, my scanner just broke down three days ago (it worked for less than a year... well i can't say anything about a 20 bucks printer/scanner, even the ink cost more than that... and seriously for that price the quality of my scans were pretty good, one of the last game i've scanned for example (https://vgcollect.com/item/132315)). I can't scan and add any of my games, i'm not in the mood to play and i'm stuck at home with a lot of free time lately so... "Why not doing a little work in the database, like cleaning the only section where my collection is up to date, the European Playstation 2 section !"... that's surprising but it's less messy than what i expected, with all the games that exist for that console and all the variants for the European release i seriously thought i was going to quit after the first page ;D
Oh i have an actual error to report this time:

I ask for the back cover of that item to be deleted, the source of that cover is this one (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iI1FHZHco04/U39Bfx4GP9I/AAAAAAAAAnI/gQxb8fvQ8ig/s1600/Jimmy+Neutron+-+Jet+Fusion.jpg) and if you check it you can see that it's marked near the bottom, there is a "By Bl" or "By 81" or something like that on the back cover but that's not why it should be deleted, the best part is that the back cover is heavily edited: all the data on the bottom side is for another game: Onimusha 3 (SLES-51914 and barcode: 5055060922118). I couldn't find any back cover for that variant to confirm if it could be an actual cover error (even if i'm sure it's not, but just in case i keep that picture on my computer to re upload it if i'm in the wrong).

It seems to me that the common terms used for these consoles are the English ones. For example, I can find "Spice" controllers sold in US and EU, but not "Spice Orange"
http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjAw/z/DAsAAOSwgmJX1gqH/$_57.JPG (http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjAw/z/DAsAAOSwgmJX1gqH/$_57.JPG)
http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjAw/z/zEAAAOSwnHZYbXvo/$_57.JPG (http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjAw/z/zEAAAOSwnHZYbXvo/$_57.JPG)
They are obviously orange in color and the same type as the Japanese ones.
I cannot find a good enough image of the orange console box to translate it, or find where color is referenced. At least not on the front of the two images I found. So I am going to guess (unless we can find good images of all sides of these boxes) that the Japanese versions are only known to be Spice Orange due to the controllers.
I have done those changes on the three items you linked.
-
That actually makes a lot of sense. I haven't been paying attention to the controllers so it always confused me why the NA consoles had those colors in the name when there isn't (afaik) any color indicator on NA console boxes (only in Japan/Europe).
The color is along the side of the JP console boxes towards the bottom and on the back of the EU ones. I don't think it says the color on the front - only for accessories/controllers

Yeah, there is a little mixup here. This game is more or less correct for a German release but (as you said) the front artwork and rating needs to be changed. Also a [DE] should be applied in the title. Or someone split the different European language versions.
-
I never figured out what any of the USK ratings without the numbers mean, so anyone can put in the edit to fix that rating. Did you put that item into here because you did try to edit and it got rejected?
-
Take away the rating because VG doesnt have this rating, and ad [DE] in title.
-
Take away the rating because VG doesnt have this rating, and ad [DE] in title.
OK done!
-
"USK - ohne Altersbeschränkung" means "suitable for every age" which equals to USK 0.
-
I think it comes down to what it looks like. A lot of time the pictures are small or not clear enough to read the text in those squares. Is that "every age" one the one with the two stick figure kids on the bottom? Do those figures appear on any of the other ratings that do not have a number on it? And also considering there are 5-6 different USK label styles even during the Xbox 360 era.
-
These figure kids appeared on all old USK logos. The only distinct difference besides the written age restriction was the color of the logo. As you mentioned USK logos got revised several times. During this process the "without age restriction" logo got replaced by one which more or less just says "0".

American Pool II (PS2 - EU)
https://vgcollect.com/item/55875
After hours of research about that game, i think i can say that the game was cancelled, there is NOTHING anywhere on the net about that game except for a front cover that seems to be a stock photo and a possible release date in 2007 (which change on almost every site i go), even the only item number i could find (it's on NintendoAge (http://nintendoage.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Element.View&pId=156&egID=108891&lgID=108891&sID=108891)) is wrong (SLES-00003 is the item number of a PS1 game: Jumping Flash). There isn't any videos or even a picture of that game, the only talks about it are from people who want to get a Full Set of the PAL PS2 games and try to know if that game was really released or not, no one seems to own it on any collecting site and it doesn't even exist on any emulation site (so i can't even consider it "Unreleased")... so yeah, i'm 99.9% sure that i won't be wrong if i say that the game was cancelled and i ask for the deletion of that item.

All of the images on the Croc game have been removed! There is an EU release that does not have ESRB rating logos on it. Those images were removed.
For the Sims, there are multiple releases of the same game nearly everywhere. For example, for The Sims Deluxe Edition, there are (at least) 4 releases I have identified in the US alone:
https://vgcollect.com/search/advanced/8/%22sims%2C%20the%20-%20deluxe%20edition%22/no-filter/ALL/ALL/ALL/ALL/ALL/no-filter/no-filter/no-filter
Sims games are to the point where even the discs, manuals and jewel cases inside each of the different releases are physically different. I can say for certain that the Sims game entries are not correct and that many versions are missing. Even for the US games, I typically have only fixed up the entries for the versions I have. Some games can have 4 or 5 different versions.
When working on games like this, note the Description on these games where the item numbers of the manuals, inserts and discs are noted because they can differ between these different releases.

Vegas Stakes did have a second release but it was not "Player's Choice". The original release is the one with the logo for the Mouse, as it was released around the time of Mario paint. But then I read there is another release with an ESRB rating, released around the same time as other games got their Player's Choice versions with ESRB rating. This might be where the confusion is from.

I feel like because we have a "Dedicated Console" section for the SNES/NES classic (among other things). We should also have an "Accessory" category to match, and these controllers would go in there. I don't think it fits in the Wii U accessory category...
-
It didn't get rejected.
But the Hori controller is branded for the Super Nintendo Classic... which there is no accessory section for. I think then technically it should be put into (the generic) Accessory category. Items like this are always a problem.

Branded for it yes, but it is made to work with the Wii and Wii U, using the Wiimote attachment port. It makes more sense in Wii U Accessory than Generic Accessory.
If we had a Nintendo Other category, I wouldn't have any arguments putting it there.
-
It's an accessory made for a dedicated console, because that's what the NES and SNES classics are under right now. So we should have a "Dedicated Console Accessory" section made.
Do we even have a generic accessory section? :o

That would be like me saying that we need to have Genesis controllers in the Atari 2600 category because they were "made to work" with the 2600. It should be placed with the console it was made for. Doesn't matter if it works with other consoles
-
Do we even have a generic accessory section? :o
Hmm no, I guess I was thinking of "Other"
it can be confusing sometimes to think there is a generic Accessory category because you can "see" one called such in a console section. I can't find it now, but some console accessory category shows up as "accessory" on the item page.
-
If I just search for something simple like "NES Controller" The heading above the item just reads "Accessory". Then when I actually click on the category name it changes to "NES/Famicom Accessory"

While I can agree with that sentiment, it is a different situation. Genesis has an accessory category. If I buy a controller for the Atari Flashback dedicated console, I would expect to file it under Atari 2600 because it works for the Atari 2600 even though it's branded for the Atari Flashback dedicated console.
On that same note I believe I have a controller that says "Works on Atari 2600 and Sega Genesis" on the box, what category would that go under? It isn't right to put it under Generic Accessory because it DOES belong in both categories. And it isn't necessarily right to put it exclusively in either category. Do we put it in both based on where the user wants it in their collection?
-
We wouldn't put it in both. Put it in one or the other, or in the "other" which also has multi-platform items in it already.
Genesis controllers work on a 2600 and vice versa.
-
I feel like if you have a controller that is branded for both, the latest released console should take priority if you had to pick one. I can't imagine they would market a controller towards the 2600 and say "but wait! You can also play this on your Genesis" :P Even if they did, it just makes more sense to pick the later console.
Besides, the Fighting Commander Controller is only marketed to the SNES classic, not the Wii U or Wii at all. The NES classic extension cables have a very small blurb that they can be used with Wii or Wii U Pro Controllers, but that's it. It says "For NES Classic" right on the front of the box.
IMO it only makes sense to make a dedicated console "accessory" section under the dedicated console subheading for this, the NES classic controllers and extension cables, etc.

In Russia this Famicom clones is legendary https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendy_(console). I would like to restore justice.

Thanks for posting into this thread.
The reason for the rejection is because the listing should contain words (even if translated) that actually exist on the packaging.
The image on this entry does not appear to be of the box, but from a magazine or some other type of paperwork. This is one problem.
The second is, we can only have the entry say "Dendy Classic" if it says that on the box. Otherwise, if this is a fan term, then it can go into alt name. So we need to know what the original Dendy console box looks like. Is it this one?
https://meshok.net/pics/35945806.jpg
If so then it can have a name like one of these:
Dendy Computer Game
Dendy Home Entertainment System Deluxe Pack
Steepler Dendy Deluxe Pack
Whereas any other words such as "Classic" or "Steepler" (if not used in the title) would be put into alt-name to help with searching.

Yes, you'are right, the name - Dendy Classic - don't printed on the box (and yes, it's a right box). I think we must use "Dendy Computer Game" name for this console, and put "Dendy Classic" into alt-name. I will send changes for this item a few hours later.

Ideally, the image width should not exceed 200px. Because the site will attempt to shrink all images to that width.
When I am editing images, I like to work with them at 400-500px wide.

Hello admins and everyone :D. I was talking about this issue on a different thread and figured this would be the best place to discuss it. I think with big box bundle collector's editions the rules regarding "front box art" are too strict. But I may have just made a mistake. For example Call of Duty valor collection remains pictureless even though I attempted to edit it and got denied. With game cases and boxes it's essential and neat looking to keep everything just the front of the box but with non scanable items like large boxes, it's hard without having a home picture that doesn't look as good. Was it denied because I didn't put it under Cart/Media/Disc? I just figured front box art was the main picture. I have seen a few examples of collector's editions with a picture like the one i'm gonna show :).
This is the current Call of Duty Valor Collection

This is the picture I am trying to upload for the picture.
Here is another but it is also on an angle and will not be accepted. It also doesn't look nearly as good imo.
If any admins can help with an appropriate picture i'll try to upload one again so when it comes out I can put in my collection :). Thanks for any help.

Crop the white space off that box only pic to put in as front art. The pic showing all the contents can be used for cart art.
It is good enough for now, but both would eventually need to be replaced with the actual images of box front, and disc for cart art after the game is actually released.
-

I did exactly this with Ys Origin (PS4) and my edit was rejected... The stock art images from LRG look dumb so I scanned my copy and uploaded it only for it to be rejected. I'm going to resubmit so I hope it will be approved the next time.

Well, its an image and better than having nothing there. But it should be replaced with a better one.
There were some instances when I did my PS2 hardware work that I came across things I could only find one image for, and the image was bad. And I felt it was better to have a bad image on the entry than no image, and that some day a better image could be found to replace it. For example this:

But you can find a few entries in that section with bad/questionable pictures.

I had a question about formatting a game's title, specifically both versions of Tales of Fandom Vol.1:
https://vgcollect.com/item/41817
https://vgcollect.com/item/40627
Each feature different cover and disc art variants but have no differences in the actual gameplay. Would this difference be shown with parentheses ("Tales of Fandom Vol. 1 (Mint Version)") or a dash ("Tales of Fandom Vol. 1 - Mint Version")? I tried to change them to the former, but my edit was rejected.
For the record, its sequel also had two variations of box art, and the title was changed to parentheses.

https://vgcollect.com/item/41708
https://vgcollect.com/item/41709
Yes, I changed these two titles because the words in the original title that was there were not on the packaging that I could tell.
We should use the title in the item title. These got caught up because I am currently working on a user request to fix entries that have fan terms in it, such as "version" so that is why I changed those.
For the first two you put, they probably should have the characters as well. There is no difference in between the text on those covers... BUT I see on the backs that Mint version has a girl with dark pink hair and Cless has a girl with light pink hair. There is different text under each of those pictures, but it is too small for me to read it properly. It could be that the titles could have that text in there instead of the 3 characters shown on the cover... IDK. This picture I am referring to is on the back below the barcode. Obviously the SLPS number is different on these... BUT the text "Version" (or as Japan usually puts: Ver. ) is not on there at all and should not be in the item title.

- packs in boxes (retail, hobby, rack)
- packs in blister pack (the pic shown in the entry)
Do we know if these cards were sold in retail/hobby or rack boxes? Are they blind packed or do all packs have the same exact cards in them?
I'm thinking...
Mario Bros. blister pack
or full

This may not necessarily be an Error but I thought that walls of text like the one in the description field weren't compliant with the Style Guide? It looks like it was recently approved a couple of months ago to boot.

Barcode currently listed is 045496744663 which I punched into Amazon and it comes up as this item. My copy in front of me has the barcode 045496904531 which comes up on Amazon as well. I checked the ASIN on both and it's the same. I checked the text on my copy and there isn't any French or Spanish language that I can see on the insert. My copy was purchased brand new and is still in the shrinkwrap. I thought I had maybe clicked on the wrong version (like the Switch or 3DS Shop) but I just double checked and it's 3DS [NA]. :P

I have this:
Fire Emblem Warriors (118303)
UPC: 045496744663
US (English text/ESRB)
UPC: 045496904531
back: KTR P CFME USA/106562A
cart: LNA-KTR-CFME-USA
Ebay: 162746149956
Canadian (Fr label on front, box text and ESRB in English and French)
UPC: 045496904548
KTR P CFME CAN/106563A
Ebay: 322885677785
I see this pre-production UPC is everywhere including Gamestop, BUT it is not impossible that UPCs change before actual release. It is possible this UPC that is on the entry does exist on something, maybe some exclusive version, or one might have a slipcover, or perhaps it is for a different English version such as the Asia release, or Mexico or something. In any case, the default entry on the site should be the most common. I looked at every one of these on Ebay in the active listings with real photos and pictures of the back and every single one has 045496904531 as the UPC. So that is what the UPC on the entry should be. If we find later on some other one with that other barcode, then we can add it then.

No, and the source of the pictures on Ebay show no markings on it to get a lead. Trying to search on Google is a nightmare.

AquaNox: The Angel's Tears (PS2 - EU)
https://vgcollect.com/item/41557
Even though the game was apparently 99.9% done, it's been cancelled after JoWooD decided to close down Massive Development (the developers of the game), since 2011 the rights of that series are in the hands of Nordic Games (and they are already working to bring it back with Aquanox: Deep Descent) so maybe one day that game will resurface in another form but for now that PS2 version doesn't exist (not even a playable leaked version exist, just a trailer, a few pictures and a video of the first mission are available).

The most common reason to get a blank entry is that one of the images you uploaded was too big.
-
Yes, that was the reason... But I have another question - I tried submit a new images with correct position (vertical instead horizontal which I overlooked when I was creating it) and it got rejected saying "Incorrect formatting" but it doesn't break any image rule from style guide, so why i t got rejected please? It is not "PEGI release" as some generic form like that. This item was created with the Scandinavian barcode. I have removed the rating because I cannot find a picture of this item. I always have trouble finding pictures of these because I don't know what sites to look on. BUT I know that this area sometimes will not use PEGI rating and will use VET/SFB instead. I have changed the title to fit the entry.
For Wet, you can submit an edit to change the rating.

1. https://vgcollect.com/item/136933 and https://vgcollect.com/item/85650
Skateboard Madness - Xtreme Edition
Tried to correct tittle to: Skateboard Madness: "Xtreme Edition" as cover has hyphens around edition name. Got rejected for wrong formatting.
2. https://vgcollect.com/item/109709 and https://vgcollect.com/item/66776
Formula 1 04 - Platinum and Formula 1 04
Tried to correct tittles to: Formula One 04 - Platinum and Formula One 04 as tittle are inconsistent across releases as demonstrated by
Formula One 04 - Platinum [ES] https://vgcollect.com/item/135495
Formula One 04 - Platinum [IT] https://vgcollect.com/item/135496
Formula One 04 - Platinum [SE][DK][FI][NO] https://vgcollect.com/item/136941
-
For Skateboard Madness - Xtreme Edition, I changed both to have that title, to follow the "edition" rule in the Style Guide.
For F1 games, they have both names, F1 and Formula 1. It can have either, and alternates can be in the alt-name field as the first two you put... BUT Formula One cannot be in those item titles because it does not say that on the front. Formula One can only be in alt-name field in those cases.
So the 3 you put that say "Formula One" in their item title need to be corrected.

It's spelled "Formula One 04" on spine of the case as seen here: https://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/920437-formula-one-04/images/154134
The whole series is annoying like that having three different spelling on the case.

I had an edit rejected to add the word "Pak" to "Nintendo GameCube - Limited Edition: FIFA Football 2004". Although the image quality isn't great, it does say pak on the top of the box. It was a mistake when making the item. I will resubmit the edit.

Sorry in advance for all the edits I've been sending in by the way. Been tweaking the items in the GameCube section as I've been adding in all the consoles. Have added at least 100 as of now.

Item title is the cover title. Spine title (if different) can be put into alt-name and into Description field.
