I've been hearing this a lot, I arrived at my local Walmart around 11:30 and signed my name and got one pretty painlessly.Welp I had no clue Gold Mario went on sell today, and naturally I was too late. Every Walmart around sold out of them at 12:45 am this morning.
Not very likely, but I'd be interested if anyone finds a spare!
I found out you had to be there two hours before midnight just to get them reserved. It was kinda garbage how they handled them. Not enough in stock and unless you had planned to camp out for one in the store (I'm not gonna camp out for a damned amiibo), you were guaranteed to not have a chance at them.
He's on par with the rest of the line, as far as I know the Shulk Amiibo is the only sort of figure/physical representation of him on the market. After my friend pointed it out, I have to admit Shulk preview shots didn't look very good, mainly the face and hair looked a bit weird and was set up to be another derpy Marth situation. But after I saw him from a slight different angle in a photo on eBay, I realised that it's just a bit of a perspective issue, looking kind of arkward from even a slightly different angle. I noticed a similar thing with Lucario.
I think sometimes it's more than just an issue of looking at Shulk from the wrong angle.
Yeah, that's what I meant... also it was only a matter of time before 'Shuk' was brought up
So with the rarity of a bunch of these Amiibo, does anyone have any comments on the quality of Shulk? He's on par with the rest of the line, as far as I know the Shulk Amiibo is the only sort of figure/physical representation of him on the market.
Really, good to know. Everyone I've talked to said the Xbox was the worst port, yeah the PS2 has some issues. Makes a lot of since the GCN is the best version considering SA2B was made for the GCN especially and Heros is running on a modified version of its engine. That's not exactly true. The game runs on a modified Sonic Adventure 2 engine, and the Gamecube version is considered the best because its very stable( 60 fps) and has the best shadows, while the Xbox has better resolution and sound options and is very good. The PS2 port is pretty bad, with sub 30fps most of the time, graphical glitches, loading times, etc., and one can tell that the game was not originally suited with the PS2 in mind and the port seems rushed. The only reason Sega released this game on the PS2 was that apparently Sony threatened to bar them from publishing anymore games on their system if there was no PS2 Sonic Heroes port.Nine times out of 10 the differences are so minuscule that you will never notice them unless they are running side by side. So I always buy the game for my favorite platform, Sony. To me, controller preference / eco system preferences / etc. trump any minor differences.^^^ This. There are some cases, Sonic Heros comes to mind. The Gamecube version is slightly better than the PS2 version and while I don't own it like I do the others I've heard the Xbox port was awful with frame rate and such.
