General / Re: Favorite controller?
« on: May 26, 2015, 04:45:03 am »
Gonna have to go with either the GameCube or the Xbox One controller. GameCube controller was the first comfortable controller I used, nice variety of colours as well along with a lovely feel to the buttons, D-Pad was horrible though, however I don't think I've ever used it.

Xbox One controller was basically the 360 controller but with a mould that would fit into your hands, the analogue sticks are fantastic, D-Pad feels clicky and the RT/LT buttons fit perfectly in your hands. One problem I'm having is the way I hold controllers now, I jump by pushing the A button down with the side of my finger and using my middle finger to shoot or whatever may be assigned to the RT button.

Keyboard and Mouse is good for simulators or strategy games, especially Civilization games, I refer you all to the abysmal Civilization Revolution, a console game.

Anything by Queen, The Beatles or Elvis. Maybe the BeeGees as well. Ratatat is fantastic but it's early 2000s

I hope it's good, mind you, if it isn't then we can all just play Star Wars Battlefront 2, so there isn't a problem I suppose.

Cool man. Thanks for the recommendations. Do I dare ask which video you are currently on, on my channel? lol

I'm actually re-watching your Game Hunting episodes, just finished episode 1 again

Two I can definitely recommend are JHMDF and CraigslistGameFinds.

JHMDF does garage sales but also has a video game sellers playlist which is very good.
CraigslistGameFinds is garage sales and such and then an overview of what they got.

I'm actually in the midst of watching your channel, fellow Brit collector here!

If you want a good racing/platformer for GameCube then try Crash Tag Team Racing, very fun game. You can pick it up pretty cheaply too!

Make a blog on blogger, that's what I did. It's a nice place to post your opinion and you can customise your page and stuff as freely as you like, so that's probably the best place to post. Frequent posts = frequent views.

Question asked by fighterpilot562.

What was my job?

I got a paperround until this game store opens nearby, basically secured my place there, it's a matter of the owner doing some last few things.

I almost got hit by a car, I think that's my worst experience. Red light for cars was on, I was in the middle of crossing, pretentious bitch comes flying down the street and hits the brakes, starts honking her horn like it's my fault. Bearing in mind I wasn't having the best of days and she was driving a jeep, I dealt with it in the best manner I could. Stuck my fingers up at her, walked off.

Yes, I still have the job, this happened a good six months ago, may be even more.

Aren't I an awful bastard?

Already inserted my ballot. Why not have the final brother? I mean, you'll finish off the Wario Bros. so you can have some Mario vs Wario Bros. action.

Haven't got a clue, I mean, I'm guessing around the Xbox 360 and onwards, there's some really awesome things on there, especially Dark Souls related items such as a Steelbook for the game and an art book.

Modern Video Games / Bandai Namco Entertainment

I bought a copy of Star Trek for my games collection, not sure why, but I did, it came with a Bandai Namco Entertainment code for 1000 points. Signed up for it, it's basically Club Nintendo but with Dark Souls and Pacman-esq items in it. Seems like it could be OK, will have to hunt down more of the codes, just thought I'd alert it to everyone's attention.
