Site Feedback / Game notes not updating in Finished list
« on: December 04, 2022, 02:38:03 am »
I was going through and editing the notes portion of my finished games to include relevant information such as the difficulty beaten, extras unlocked, etc. Unfortunately, these are not saving. Now, don't get me wrong there can always be a level of human error, but I'm certain I hit submit  ;D

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

General / What is your favorite menu theme?
« on: October 15, 2022, 02:11:46 am »
When it comes to what sets the mood and makes a game a game, there's a whole slew of different elements that ultimately make up the experience that is, well, the game. One of these elements I don't hear a lot about is the menu music. From Super Smash Bros. various menu tracks to Deus Ex, there's quite a variety of scores that draw the player in or hype them up.

What are your preferences?

Site Feedback / Current Finished Games List Issue...
« on: December 03, 2021, 02:41:49 pm »
When I click on any page number in the finished games section, I'm redirected to my collection... I can't see the rest of my list.

Just thought I'd bring it to the attention of whom it may concern, not trying to come off as a smart alek.

Hope to see it resolved soon! I'm really glad it was implemented!

...because whoever did will probably see this, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for updating all of the info on the JP Limited Edition Asura's Wrath, I didn't really find much online and it was cool seeing all that info catalogued. So thanks for contributing where I couldn't!

I guess I could still turn this into a slight question. Have you guys had any games in particular that were a pain to enter into the system? (note, I'm not implying the system was faulty, more so the nature of a game.)

Title says it all. I'm pretty disappointed but hopefully it will be worth the wait and won't be a buggy mess.

General / Thoughts on the DMC1 switch port announcement?
« on: May 19, 2019, 10:39:39 pm »
Personally I'm stoked, I've had a blast with each playthrough of DMC1 (even Dante Must Die!) and the only thing that was holding me back from playing it more was not having it on the Switch. Not only will I have a blast with it I'm sure it will be a gateway to getting other friends in to it. Having that soundtrack on the go too will be amazing!

TL;DR Can't wait to hear Super Ultra Violet and lose to Nelo Angelo 3 DMD many times.

What are your guys' thoughts?

Modern Video Games / Enjoying Smash Ultimate?
« on: April 03, 2019, 12:23:14 pm »
Personally I'm enjoying the hell out of Smash Ultimate. Ganondorf is actually good and is really, really strong. The roster is great and the sheer amount of music is incredible. The only things I really miss are break the targets, home run contest, and trophies. Rumors of stage builder and home run contest have surfaced of coming out.

What do you guys think?

Modern Video Games / Devil May Cry 5 is out! (No spoilers mentioned)
« on: March 09, 2019, 09:46:33 pm »
What do you guys think of it so far?

I just beat it and I had a blast. The gameplay was great with alternating characters, crazy visuals, sick combos, and previous DMC music! *cough* ULTRA VIOLET *cough*

I only have 13 hours in it so far but I'd say it's well worth the $60 (or 70 depending on what version). Super fun!

Off Topic / Favorite cartoons growing up?
« on: February 24, 2019, 09:14:44 pm »
unfortunately I'm a bit younger, so I never got the cool cartoons like "He-Man!" or the old Thundercats. I was always more of a "Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy", "Courage the Cowardly Dog", "Codename Kids Next Door" guy. Those were my favorites in particular, what were your favorite cartoons?

General / What is the hardest video game related thing you've done?
« on: February 21, 2019, 09:31:56 pm »
Recently I beat DMC1 on Dante Must Die! and while it's difficult, i'm sure there's crazier out there. What have you guys done that is just insanely hard?

General / Who is your favorite video game villain/antagonist?
« on: January 25, 2019, 10:00:13 pm »

My favorite villain overall in video gaming would have to be Ganondorf. Just the fact that this timeless evil has haunted the blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero is insane. Across 3 seperate timelines this power hungry giant (sort of, he's 7'6") has sought out the full triforce for himself to rule Hyrule. Some might compare him to Dracula and how he has tormented the Belmonts across generations and nearly a whole millenium but it's different with Ganondorf. As cool as Dracula is, he is simply a really powerful vampire with the crimson and ebony stones. That pales in comparison to being the reincarnation of evil and being really good at magic amongst other things. He's powerful without being too powerful. He's not Sephiroth capable of crazy strength feats but he's not some pushover weak final boss like Bowser in Super Mario 64. He's a powerful medieval evil that has haunted 3 separate timelines and transforms into a huge ass boar like monster as his final trick. I also really enjoy the music associated with him, especially in A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Four Swords Adventures and Breath of the Wild. Essentially what really nails it home for me is a liking of the character but also a lore explanation for his return and inevitable battle with that era's Link versus another Mario game that's just "Here's Bowser fight him again".

Then again the Zelda timeline is a giant WTF so there's that.

Who is your favorite video game villain and why?
