Developer OK for hardware/accessories but it is complicated as knowing who is and isn't the developer. Sometimes the developer is not the manufacturer or whoever's brand name is on an item. An example of this can be found in accessories where "someone" develops the hardware but is then private branded or has a custom shell and sold under the name of many different companies. Sometimes an actual developer of hardware/accessory is a person.

In general I'd recommend to not set developer on this type of entry but the Style Guide is correct as far as Yes for Developer and No for Publisher.

Hardware isn't "published" so there should not be publisher set. We already have a bug report regarding the situation where Developer or Publisher cannot be blanked out or set to default like you could with say... rating or the other drop-downs.

This is but one of many situations where the item entry layout, being designed to track "games" does not match up to the type of information you'd want to have for hardware. Same thing with books or toys or movies or whatever else we have entries for that aren't games.

Name is wrong, edit was rejected.  Don't know what it's supposed to be, but what it is is wrong.

This is not for Wind Waker, this is for Wind Waker HD.  Spine says Wind Waker HD.

Yesterday I updated a front box art and it was accepted, but as of today the image has still not been updated. Is that a bug? Should I submit again?

It's usually because the old image is still stored in your internet browser's cache. If you clear it out, your new image should appear.

I cleared the cache but the old image is still there.

If you're referring to Sanyo 3DO TRY, the image has already been updated by you and can be seen, in case you're wondering why your recent edit for it was rejected.

You can do a hard refresh on the page with Ctrl+F5 to see if that causes the image to update in your browser.

I tried hard refresh and the original image was still there. I waited a few days and still not changed so I submitted again. It was rejected as information was already listed. So the admin definetly sees the correct image, but for some reason I don't. I deleted everything from Google Chrome's settings tab and now it finally appears. CTrl+F5 didn't work for me but doing it manually from settings fixed it.

There are two main things that make for the use of a hyphen in a game item name
1. It is n Edition in name, such as Collector's Edition, Limited Edition and translations such as Genteiban
2. It is an reprint series like Greatest Hits or Ricochet or the like.

So even the use of Remastered (without Edition suffix) is not enough to use a hyphen.

first post here.

I was just about to add the German version of Star Fox Adventures to the database (since it is apparently missing) when I stumbled upon this entry:

Front and back cover as well as the barcode are from the German version but it states an ELSPA rating instead of the USK one that's on the box. The item number is from the disc which appears to be the same for multiple regions.

The title has no country code so it’s unclear what the original intent was.

Added [DE] TLD to that entry. Moved item number to description. Added correct item number.

Also merged the dupe [FR] entry in that category.
And removed the TLD from the UK entry.

Got it!  I thought that Remstered versions were jusr generally considered "editions".  Either way have of the Spongebobs are backwards, lol.

Secondary question - I'm looking at the NeoGeo Minis.  Should Neo Geo be one word or two?  I'm seeing it all over the place in the references and such.  It's another thing where half the entries are one way, and the other half are another.
