What is your favorite game on the GBA?

Mine is Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced, because it’s an amazing 2D Platformer with great music and good level design. (For the most part.)

2. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Despite a big change in the combat system it was very atmospheric and looked great on the GBA - Prefer this version over the PS2 remake for certain!

Though this game I lost I dunno how many hours if not days worth of time to...

I didn't much time to game during my GBA days, but a couple of my favorites that are less likely to be popular on here....

Tomb Raider The Prophecy


A surprisingly fun rendition of the series in handheld form. There was more of a focus on puzzles which was good but they still had the running and gunning in there as well.

Super Dodge Ball


This series has been a favorite since the NES days. Having it on the go with better graphics was fantastic. I really wish they would make a new game for Switch or PS4/5.  It would be incredibly fun.

Tough call. I've played some great games on the GBA.

I think I'll go with Yggdra Union, even if the PSP version is superior.

Gotta go with Advance Wars 2. A solid turn-based strategy game with tons of challenges and replayability that applies itself well to the handheld format.

Runners up would probably be Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

I really don’t think the GBA gets its due. It really has one of the most extensive and varied libraries of any gaming machine, not just home consoles.

I don’t know if I could choose just one. My top would probably be CV Aria of Sorrow, Metroid Zero Mission, and Double Dragon Advance. Seriously, those 3 games are among the best in their genres.
