Just started into Signalis, a PS1 styled low poly scifi horror game and it's pretty good.  I was a little worried that it might lean too much into the Resident Evil feel, but it has really good controls, it plays abit more like a top down/isometric game, than third person with fixed cameras, but that game is a huge influence on this.  I've kinda come to learn with the low poly throwback games that I don't really appreciate a throwback game adhering too much to the old school controls as much as I like it to adhere more to the aesthetics, while offering up better and improved gameplay, such as with Corn Kidz 64, which I haven't really gone back to yet.

Very spooky, the low poly, anime, art is really well done, I'm pretty stoked for this one.

Since it's only a month from its full release, I'm putting Bloodborne Kart here, the name explains everything, but it's got an obscene amount of work into it for being a fan made project.
I assume the final release will be put on this page, but there is an older build already on here. https://b0tster.itch.io/bbpsx

Alisa definitely deserves some attention for its similarities to Resident Evil. It's been out for a while on PC, but I just now learned about it since its console port releases in a few weeks. Here is its latest trailer.

Hey, boyo, how about Skull Island: Rise of Kong or The Walking Dead Destinies?

Oh wait, I forgot that you meant "low-poly" and not "low-quality".

Anyway, jokes aside, here's a few more in no particular order: MOCHI A GIRL, Shipwrecked 64CANINE, Undetected, Chacara, Blood West, Into the Inferno and Crossing the Sands, and Hyperviolent.

I happened upon most of these by chance and was instantly reminded of this thread: the more options there are, the better. Blood West and Undetected are my top picks, but I think the rest look really nice given the aesthetic they aim to emulate, but you be the judge. The last one is in early access, which I don't particularly endorse, but the game does seem to be coming along nicely.

There's also Diluvian Ultra, which is retro as all hell but relies on pixel art; however, it looks awesome, and I thought it wouldn't hurt to include it. And, while this one doesn't particularly fit the "low-poly" label, I think it's still worth the mention, too: Halcyon Days. A love letter to Mega Man Legends, developed by just one guy. I don't know your history or how you even feel about Mega Man Legends, but the game shows promise and has a genuine PS1-like feel to it. But again, check them out and be the judge. While I'm at it, let me throw PolyZen Drive in the bag for good measure.

Enjoy.

Gonna check those all out soon, see what they are about, I'm just throwing in a small thing here really quick, but the Celeste devs just out of nowhere released a small 3D old school take on Celeste called "Celeste 64: Fragments of the Mountain" for free and it's really good, very smooth platforming with retro styling, which is exactly what I love to see.  Only played abit of it, but it's really good, I'd take a full entire game from them like this.

Of that list, I'm definitely checking out Undetected and I'm a huge fan of Mega Man Legends (I'd adore a collected set of those three games with some updated controls and such), so I'll give Halcyon Days a look for sure.

Of that list, I'm definitely checking out Undetected [...]

Yeah, Undetected is really good; it services the "tactical espionage" part of its inspirator's tagline quite well. If you also like the original Metal Gear games, and if you haven't already, check out UnMetal; it's top-notch. To make it clear to everyone that Metal Gear was the inspiration for the game, the developers even made a fake ad parodying the "Gear Up." ad for Metal Gear for the NES. That alone tells you all you need to know about the game. It's a drolly coincidence that the names for both start with the same prefix, now that I think about it.

[...] I'm a huge fan of Mega Man Legends (I'd adore a collected set of those three games with some updated controls and such), so I'll give Halcyon Days a look for sure.

Don't forget about Great Adventure on 5 Islands; it might be a mobile game, but it wasn't bad at all. Plus, it would be nice to have a game that, for all intents and purposes, has since been "lost" and therefore is long forgotten or wasn't even known about in the West.

While I'm at it, I might as well mention Protodroid DeLTA, which began primarily as a Mega Man fan game that eventually became its very own thing, but it clearly pays homage to the series, particularly X and Legends; in fact, the developer is no stranger to the series given that he released a few fan projects based on them, both of which you can see here and here if interested. I haven't played it yet, but from all the footage I've seen, it looks good.

Also, I've no clue what's your preference toward fan-made games, but in regards to Mega Man Legends, there's one based around the third entry...or a recreation of what was shown before it was cancelled; it's called Mega Man Legends 3: The Prologue!. If you haven't checked it out already, it's in 8-bit, emulating the original NES games. To make things almost semi-official, the soundtrack was done by Makoto Tomozawa, which also received a limited physical release with original artwork by Hideki Ishikawa, both integral parts of the series. There's no landing page for the game, but here's the official preview video, and if you, or anybody else who's reading this, happens to be interested, a link to download the game can be found here. Just follow the prompts on each screen, and when you reach the last page, input "dash3" in the field when asked for the password (without the quotation marks, of course). It's a fun game.

Anyway, to keep the topic going, here's another one: Devil Spire. I fortuitously came upon it and had to share it, although it's from 2022, so I honestly have no clue how I didn't find it sooner—maybe you did?

Plastomorphosis was also released last month, too; it looks cool.

And last but not least, Slave Zero X, which is a prequel to Slave Zero that was released digitally last week; it's basically a PS1 title released nearly three decades later, and I'm all in for it. The people behind it are quite inattentive, though, given that I emailed them nearly two months ago regarding the physical release of the game, specifically the Calamity Edition, and I've yet to receive a reply from them, not even an automated one.

And that'd be it. Enjoy.

Here's another great looking new game, "Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom".  A collectathon platformer, nice big open areas to explore as a windup taxi car, very wacky.  Alongside the N64 vibes, I also get like Katamari Damacy vibes abit, looks like fun though.
