Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds looks good and I'll be signing up for the test. (test, like Splitgate 2, is PS5 only despite the full game launching on PS4..)

Lost Soul Aside is a single player Sony published game launching day one on PC so there's that.

Splitgate 2 looks great, seems like their test isn't on PS4 but full game still is confirmed for it.

Darwin's Paradox looks like a modern version of Oddworld.

Hell Is Us looks decent.

Ape Escape in the Snake Eater remake is nice.

Days Gone remaster is a $10 upgrade and has a new arcade horde mode.

MindsEye from one of the leads on GTA V looks pretty fun but maybe too dark.

Housemarque somehow ready to release a new game next year.

We knew about Onimusha but that is on my list. Mindseye has potential but I'm not holding my breath. 2025 is looking like another barren year for Playstation Studios games that interest me.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds looks awesome, I've been wanting Sega to do another Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed for a long while now and this is basically that. Will it be as good? Don't know, but I'm excited for this, this has potential to be more fun for me than a new Mario Kart if it's done right lol I'm apparently never getting the Diddy Kong Racing 64 sequel, so I'll keep hoping for games likes this lol

Looking forward to Metal Gear Solid Delta as MGS3 was when I really got into the series.  I had played MGS2 before it, but 3 was the one I really loved.

Lies of P getting a DLC wasn't what I was expecting, but will be a nice bonus until the sequel.

Seeing anything Days Gone is real nice as I think the game is kinda underrated and was bummed about not getting a sequel.  The announcement doesn't do a lot for me as I was probably gonna get it on PC eventually to replay it and this doesn't add much to that version of the game that I care about.

Saros sounds kinda neat, I like the FromSoftware direction of doing what is functionally a sequel, but it's also not, with a new story and characters.  Returnal was fun to play even if I didn't love the direction of the story itself, so something to keep an eye out for.

Not much here for me that stood out a ton, certainly little from Sony itself, but seemed okay.

*EDIT* Just realized that I think I played Lies of P on Game Pass, and I'm not super interested in replaying the game right now, so not gonna actually buy it, replay it, and then jump into the DLC. Maybe before the teased sequel released down the road.

Terrible. I have a moderate interest in Shinobi, Sonic Racing, and that Chinese action RPG, but that was it. I am so sick of dreary scifi post apocalyptic games and it seems like half of all new games have this aesthetic. It was fun and novel a decade ago, but now its so overdone and stale that I actively role my eyes when a new game gets announced with this style. Other than that, most of it just looks very uninspired or a DEI consulting firm went through the game with a fine toothed comb.

It's hard to imagine the video game industry pulling out of this tailspin its been in for the last 10-years, which just makes me feel super cynical about how much I'll be into new gaming once next gen kicks off. I'm cautiously hyped for the Switch 2, but if Switch 2 games are not physical then I'm out, no question. I'm fairly certain Sony and MS's next consoles will be digital only boxes, which I would have been upset about if not for the fact that there are barely any new releases that interest me. I hate feeling this way, but there's no use to pretending things don't suck this bad when they do.

Going by PlayStation's blog post about what was featured, there were 28 games shown in some capacity. Since you showed interest in Lost Soul Aside (thematically self-described as sci-fi), you don't seem to take issue if a game is either one of the two themes (sci-fi or post-apocalyptic), so ignoring the other games which also only employ one of those themes also seems fair. With that said, I believe only one game shown definitively fits the "scifi post apocalyptic" descriptor, which is Hell Is Us, although Saros may eventually too once more information about it is learned.

Very little shown during this event was actually new information, but I'm wanting to know more about what exactly Dreams of Another is. The idea behind destruction yielding creation isn't something I'm unfamiliar with, but how it's incorporated as a game seems interesting. The Midnight Walk continues to look impressive, and it's nice that it's releasing soon—hopefully a physical release is planned. Not that I'll play it, but WWE 2K25 and its "island" gimmick seems like something fans will enjoy.

The Midnight Walk kinda looked like it was made in Dreams.

Best parts were Sonic Racing: Crossworlds and Digimon Story Time Stranger (which I will OVER 9000% be playing).

I just want a new Ape Escape, not a cameo in MGS3. MindsEye looks interesting but might be too depressing?
