nintendo ds and 3ds demos
« on: March 03, 2026, 05:06:44 pm »
recently I amde an mostly if not complete list of all EU nintendo NFR cards I am considering adding them all to the site. however since there is a lot of overlap with us ones which have the exact same name how should I do it?

The us download stations are all listed but none of the 9 eu ones.  I could add them as the same name but that might be not ideal.

also if I am gonna do this should I add the 3ds ones to the  ds list as wlel since the 3ds doesnt have an demo section?

If you're wanting to submit new Nintendo DS demo entries, submit them to Nintendo DS Demo. If you're wanting to submit new Nintendo 3DS demo entries, submit them to Nintendo 3DS Demo. Both platforms have their own dedicated Demo sections.

Since the items you're wanting to add do share the exact name as existing entries, it will be necessary to attach a TLD to entry names. There are other entries in both categories which demonstrate how to do this such as 47095 and 148729.

See the follow rules regarding TLDs:

Games released in multiple countries within the same region/category: No two items within a category should have the same item name. For categories that reflect continents such as North/South America or Europe or general categories such as Hardware or Accesories, etc, the item title may use a suffix to indicate which country/countries an item was released in. Brackets [ ] are used to enclose this information, and for each country we use the appropriate TLD (Top Level Domain) Identifier. Our list of common TLDs are located here: https://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,7009.0.html
The TLD is not to be used to represent which languages are printed on an item.

Examples: 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker has five regional releases within Europe on the PS2.
  • Released in England or general English EU release does not require a TLD: 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker
  • Released in Germany: 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker [DE]
  • Released in Spain: 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker [ES]
  • Released in France and Netherlands: 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker [FR][NL]
  • Released in Italy: 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker [IT]

TLDs
The TLD is short for Top Level Domain and is a list of country abbreviations maintained by IANA. We use TLD for release countries because they are easily identifyable. Remember that the TLD is to represent which countries an item was SOLD in, not which languages are on the packaging.

So as previously suggested, refer to entries 47095 and 148729 as examples that are within the Nintendo DS Demo.

Just to clarify, the item you're referring to is named DS Download Station Volume 1, as seen here.

correct I was using the first one from my list as an example.

but it doesnt mather anymore.

I have zero  clue  about TLD's you explained the function which I get but I have no idea how to spot them etc.

so frankly I am just not gonna bother with it  its getting too complicated for me also i doubt these demos even have that number since with the acception of 2 they where suposed to be returned to nntendo to destroy
