UPDATE: We have an update!

Hey all,

I know it's been a loooong time since our last update but Scott and I have spent the evening hashing out a few bugs as well as adding a few new features. Here is a list of the new stuff:

• Swag has been split into separate categories (Swag - Carrying Cases & Bags, Swag - Clothing Items, Swag - Food Items, Swag - Print Media, Swag - Promo Videos/ Movies, Swag - Soundtrack, Swag - Toys/Novelties) Scott has spent most of the night going through and cleaning up the old Swag mess. Hopefully this will keep things a bit more organized in the future.
• Updated the Add to Collection button so that it automatically selects "Cart/Disc"
• Added "Add to Wishlist" functionality to the browse and Search pages! This will allow you to bulk add items to your list. I know this one was asked for by a few users.
• Compare! You'll notice a new link on the sidebar to our new comparison page. This will allow you to compare the collections of any two users. At this time it is quite limited but we plan on adding additional features over time. For now you can see what games the users have in common.

Whew...we got a lot done tonight. Speaking of work and getting things done. During the first year of VGCollect, Scott and I would get together once a week to hammer out bugs and to add new features. As some of you have noticed lately, updates have slowed down drastically over the past few months. (*insert joke about my ever-growing todo list*) I just want to let everyone know that we are committed to VGCollect. We are returning back to that old schedule and will be dedicated a night each week to updates. You can expect much more timely updates to both feature requests and bug fixed.

Seriously, though guys...nice work!

I'm liking the "Compare" feature -and- the additions to the "Swag" category!

While we may not have been getting a lot of consistent updates...I still stand by the fact that, the accessibility, participation, recognition, and involvement of those of you who put-together this site & keep it running smoothly...is one of this place's biggest draws and makes it stand-out (and stand above) other similar sites!
