Had to unlock SMB 2j again because the Retron 5 blew away my save. :/

I'm not gonna take credit. It was Sin2Beta's idea a few months back. :)

Finally finished the Wizardry 1 remake for Playstation.  I have been level grinding arguably one of the best parties possible in the game since like last summer.  My final party consisted of three Bishops(Cleric/Mage) converted to Ninjas.  I placed them in the front three spots as they could cast all spells while also having a small chance to decapitate an enemy every round.  I also had two clerics converted to Samurai (Mage/Fighter) to cast spells and provide a back up when a Ninja died.  In the back was a Bishop for identifying and carrying items.  After spending so long grinding on a fixed encounter that provides 700-1400 experience each with level requirements being 300,000-500,000 experience depending on class after level 13 I thought I would breeze right through the game.  I was completely wrong, every lower floor that I did not explore on the NES version was full of high level mages and level draining monsters (And disappointingly lacking anything interesting).  I was able to avoid most of the level drainers until floor 9 when a group surprised me and drained one of my Ninjas 500,000 xp (4-5 hours of grinding) and lowered my piety which left me with 78 max health.  When I finally reached floor 10 I took one step and ran into a group of high ninjas that decapitated two of my characters.  The rest of the floor went by without much problem until I opened the door to Werdna's lair and saw a message that said "The Monsters Surprised You" just like what happened to me in the NES version ha.  Luckily I survived the round and took out the boss in the next round.  I love how even after doing an insane amount of level grinding  the game still shows no mercy.  At least I am finally done with the "Perfect Party" so I can play all of the games I keep buying!
Currently Playing: Dark Souls: Remastered (Switch)

I finished DMC: Devil May Cry last night. That was a pretty entertaining game! I wasn't super dedicated to the old series though so I had no complaints about this reboot. I think the last one I played was 3? I think I skipped 4 entirely.
Currently Playing: The Witcher

OK, I'm done.  Either I call Portrait of Ruin beaten, or I hurl my 3DS through this window.  That last boss fight is impossible for me - I don't have those reflexes anymore, and I sure as heck don't have that kind of patience.  I despise a really hard boss fight when all I want to do is see the end & move on.  So...YouTube it is, and PoR is *beaten*.   >:(

My list for the year:

Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea Pt. 1
Bravely Default demo
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Y's: Memories of Celceta
DMC
South Park: The Stick of Truth
inFamous: Second Son
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havok
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

This sounds like me when I played Phantasy Star for the Master System last year.  I get all the way to the end can could not beat it.  I said screw it after like 1000 tries and I just watched the youtube video to see the ending.  I know how you feel

Jaws gets a bad rap.  People call it terrible because the LJN logo is on it.  It's not that bad of a bad game.

Agreed, I enjoyed it as well.  I would have liked to see what they could have done with a bigger map to explore.
