5. Super Nintendo - The SNES's controller was huge upgrade from the NES controller. It added 4 more buttons and meant a whole lot of more options for games. And it just felt right. I've yet to wear out my original SNES controllers and I've had them as long as I've had this console.

4. DualShock and 2 - More so the DS2, I've rocked the hell out of my PS2 and only ever had to buy a new controller once or twice. And usually it wasn't because of hardware failure it was from the nubs of the analog sticks losing their grip (or I wanted a new color).

3. GameCube WaveBird - Best wireless controller up til that point.

2. Xbox 360 - Much much better than the DS3 and it had a nice weight and feel to it. The offset sticks felt right and felt tighter than the DS3's sticks. I've not broken a single Xbox 360 controller ever and with the removeable battery it makes it nice that I don't have to replace the whole thing should the battery go bad.

1. DualShock 4 - That controller is a huge improvement over the DS3. It doesn't feel cheap and easily breakable and it feels good in my hands. I wish it would auto-sleep if it's not being used, but other than that I have no complaints.

I like the Dreamcast controller.

The buttons are nice and responsive. It fits nicely in your hand. And the trigger buttons just feel satisfying to use, kind of like the clicky thumbstick on the Neo Geo Pocket Color.

The common complaint I hear is that it should have had 2 thumbsticks. Well the N64 didn't have 2 thumbsticks, the Saturn only had 1 (if you had the analog controller), and the PS1 dual-shock was still a new thing (not standard yet). For the time it came out, not having 2 thumbsticks was pretty common.

I was just trying to joke around and have a little fun.  Sorry if I offended anyone with those horrible controllers.  Here is my official top 5 list so far (as I still have yet to use some controllers):

5.  Nintendo 64

4.  Dreamcast

3.  Famicom (if you add more length to the cord)

2.  Genesis

1.  PlayStation 3

NES Dogbone
GameCube/Wavebird
Wii U GamePad

My only complaint with the GamePad is that there's no depth to the triggers. I also don't care for the names either; ZL and ZR. Dumb.

Interesting tho, I have heard that if you have large hands, the Jaguar is actually a very comfortable controller and the buttons feel natural.

But I would like to make a tie with my number 1.  I put the PlayStation 3 tied with the Wii U Gamepad
