I've had it for a while, but I finally started Lightning Returns. It's pretty interesting so far.

Thoughts on one-handing it?

I'm finishing up my last playthrough of the Banner Saga today and, I'll probably be starting Saturday Morning RPG tomorrow.

Playing a little Star Wars Battlefront here & there.  It's pretty fun.  The new map pack for Black Ops III was just released, so my kids are playing around with that.
Currently playing:  Last of Us Part II Remastered, Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition
Currently listening to:  Iron Maiden & Ghost
Currently Watching:  Cyberpunk Edgerunners & Last of Us

Hmm...

Combat is fast-ish. You can change through Lightning's schemata with the push of R1 and perform actions with the face buttons. The analogue stick is used to switch targets, but most fights are one on one.

There are some moments of platforming, but they're nothing that require strict timing.

You know what? Yes, I'm pretty sure you can one-hand this one and enjoy it.

Why would you play a game with one hand?

I see now.  Honestly, at first i thought it was some joke about the whole costume thing.  Lightning returns was the one that implemented a costume system right?  Kind of like X-2?

Why would you play a game with one hand?

a). To masturbate whilst gaming and watching porn simultaneously

b).  Because your other hand was lost in an amputation

Sadly, in my case, it's b.

Life goes on, however - at least it wasn't my dominant hand  :P

Your "a" option made me think about when Tomonobu Itagaki and Team Ninja were promoting the original DOA Xtreme Volleyball.  Itagaki actually stated he wanted gamers to be able to play the game one-handed.

I've never pried into the reason(s) for you losing a hand, but I just hope that some day doctors can do some cool Luke Skywalker shit from Empire for you and everyone else who's lost an appendage/extremity.  In the meantime, it's great that there are a ton of RPG's and such that you can play.

He's quite inspirational. The world and VGC are better places because of him.

Well, I switched to Final Fantasy Type 0 after Need for Speed's AI rubber banding got too rage inducing. It's pretty good so far, but there are some graphical glitches that likely stem from it being an updated PSP title, and picking up Phantoma can be a pain in the ass as it's mapped to the same button as attack.

After playing the beta, that was one of the many reasons I decided to pass on the NFS franchise.
