Right now is my proudest moment. As it stands I'm 30 titles away from owning every game I ever wanted as a kid.

Childhood me would think me a God.

Being able to experience games like Night Trap on the 3DO, Bonks Adventure on the TG16, and Ducktales 2 on the NES are all things I never would have believed I could do even just 5 years ago.

In some cases I've even customized and repaired my hardware myself to restore functionality to consoles and carts written off as dead by their previous owners.

Of course I could easily do it all via emulators but it just wouldn't be the same.

•Beating Mega Man & Bass with both characters. I don't know why, but this was the hardest game I've ever beaten and I've played some hard games before. This game was difficult not because it's legitimately challenging, but simply because it has tons of cheap, do or die and trial and error moments. I can't tell you how many different times I felt like chucking my Game Boy Advance across the room, but when I finally beat it, I felt like a king! If you had an easy time with this game, I tip my hat to you.
•Beating the haunted house level in TimeSplitters for PS2 cooperatively on the hardest difficulty with my brother and our friend. It took all night, but when we finally beat it at around 4:30 in the morning we jumped for joy and yelled and celebrated, no doubt waking up the rest of the household. I remember we took a good scolding but it was totally worth it.

Some of these are nothing compared to what others have accomplished but these are just two moments that I reflect on when playing a challenging game.

Getting all of the achievements for Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. These achievements are insane. "Get 500,000 points on Columns." "Beat Dr. Robotniks Machine" "Get 1,500,000 points in Super Thunder Blade." Nevertheless I 100% That is 1 achievement to sure be proud of.

Anyone know if that games PS' trophies & MS' achievements are identical?

If so...learn something new every day, I suppose - I'd heard & been under the impression that the GEN Collection was one of the easiest games to plat.

Can't speak from personal experience, though - having never booted it up myself yet.
I thought that too but Dr. Robotniks Mean Bean Machine is harder than it looks. All of the other Achievements/Trophies are do-able.

i know one is 100% Hot wheels Turbo Racing, doesn't sound like much but I swear you had to do everything perfect in order to beat that twin mill challenge and even then that wasn't going to guarantee victory.

I have the Explorer title in World of Warcraft. I don't play any more, but that thing required going to every area and doing almost every quest your faction could take. I got it after Cataclysm came out, so there were a lot of areas to cover. It also means I've got a pretty good knowledge base of Alliance lore, since I also liked to read the quest text.

I almost sorta had the world high score in Pepper II for the ColecoVision. I saw the score on the Twin Galaxies website, knew I could beat it, had a party with friends to film it to submit, and contacted the guy who did verification. Between the time I spotted the low high score and filmed my own, he'd been contacted by someone else who had beaten me by a fairly slim margin. I was so distraught I never tried again, but now I'm wondering if I should.

I'm sure I'll think of more, but these two came to mind pretty quickly.

130 hours? Damn. Did you have bad luck in getting the items needed for alchemy? That was my biggest issue with earning the platinum. Luckily, it took me about 60 hours to get 100%. Maybe the gamer gods were on my side.

I am 1 trophy away from 100%. I gave up on trying to farm those gold honkers.

First Platinum Trophy: Dragon Age: Origins.
First play-through of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune  was on Hard Difficulty.
Finished Suikoden with all 108 Stars Of Destiny alive.
Finished Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic.
Finished Secret Of Mana, although I used the Level 9 Sword exploit.

Pretty sure I completed Wild Arms with all gear & Runes collected, Golems/secret bosses found & defeated.  At the very least, finished with most of it.

Please check out the games I have for sale.

@soera:It's been a long time since I played NNK, but I think there's a trick to making more Gold Honkers show up in that ghost area. If you enter a small hallway and then exit back-and-forth, one should materialize right in front of you. I'll need to look it up. If you're one trophy away from platinum, you shouldn't let this stop you. You're almost there!

Either way, that part didn't take me the longest. My last trophy before the platinum was getting enough familiars in my library. That was a real pain. I'm so glad I'm done with that game. @_@

I guess I was wrong on my NNK trophy. Im at 71% (I dont know how. I did every single thing in that game I could find) but this is what Im missing : Globetrotter, Overfamiliar, Pedigree breeder, Raising the stakes, and 4 hiddens.

Ive never really messed with trophies but these are the ones that are closest to plat. Skylander giants 90%, Saw 94%, Diablo III 93%, Amalur 93%, Costume quest 100%, Child of Light 100%.

Did you learn all of the spells for each character? Did you do everything in the casino? Those might be the ones that are missing along with the alchemy related trophies and the monster collection trophies.

EDIT: I thought of another small, yet fulfilling, accomplishment. In Guilty Gear, there is nothing better than landing a massive combo. However, to be able to do it in practice mode is very different from an actual match. I was able to win a versus match by using  a combo I had been practicing. It felt great to win, but even better knowing that practice sometimes does make perfect.
