Some yes, some not so much. I'd say most games worth over $100 do not have enough value to justify their cost, but I guess that is more of a subjective judgement based on the person's tastes and the game in question.

Depends on the game and the player. Some have more value than others to some, case by case basis.

Yes, unless you buy everything at full price or buy retrogames at collectors prices.

Seether, you are always posting threads about money, values, what something is worth to you, how you feel after spending money on games, how much do you spend, etc.

I'm wondering: Does collecting games make you feel guilty?

Sometimes the way the questions are phrased or from the general tone of a lot of seether's posts, it's like they want others to feel guilty.
"I collect vidya games and vidya game accessories, I tell you what."

I've gotten more of a "Fox and sour grapes" impression, where some of these topics feel like an attempt to validate or justify why game collecting is bad.

Yes games are high value entertainment.

Look at something like Skyrim. People paid $60 for it brand new. Then, they get 100’s of hours of enjoyment. It’s a cheap way to entertain yourself.

Most games are not Skyrim.
In fact, many games are linear with about 12 hours of content and can be over in a weekend for the same $60.

Which still equates to spending only $5 per hour of entertainment.
