What bands/artists are on your bucket list of must-see bands?

Which ones have you checked off that list?

Def Leppard - Have yet to see.

KISS - Have yet to see. More for the stage show, heard it's phenomenal.

In This Moment - Saw literally the last song of their set at Ozzfest after Amtrak got me there late. Need to see a full show by them.

Iron Maiden - Biggest show I've ever been to. Just a sea of people. And Brucie boy did not disappoint! All energy.

Megadeth - Saw in Reno in a Casino event center, awesome show, full bar in the seating area!

Metallica - Have yet to see.

Scar Symmetry - Never will see them, at least not with their original singer like I want to see.

W.A.S.P. - Have yet to see. Probably my favorite of the 80s hair metal bands. Still active after all of these years.

I'm sorta running low on bands right now that are like a must, but right now, it's mostly Metallica and Iron Maiden at the top.

I actually have been able to cross off a few bands as I saw Judas Priest in 2009 before Downing left and I got to see Megadeth, Ghost, Anthrax, and Lamb of God in one show a couple years ago.  I would've loved to see Slayer, get the whole Big Four done, but that's not happening with them retiring.  Others I'd love to see would be Overkill, Amon Amarth, Revocation, and a couple others.

Slayer actually just played here yesterday and I had a long debate about whether I wanted to go.  I just couldn’t justify such a last minute expense for a band I was on the fence about seeing.

My major bucket list band is Judas Priest.

Judas Priest was my very first metal show.  I grew up in a small town in Alaska, didn't have a chance to see anyone, moved to Florida and got lucky that they were doing a show not far away that I could drive to in '09.  It was just awesome.  It's been slightly rose colored by being my first metal show, but it's still been way up there as the best I've gone too, especially since it was just their show at an arena, and the rest of the bands I've seen have been at a couple festival type shows where there's less production going on.

This was from that tour, probably just before or after I saw them, same state.  Kicking it off with Rapid Fire is amazing and I still get chills hearing this lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=537yHK1T34k

Haven't seen anyone in awhile though.  The local rock festival that I got to see like Volbeat, Megadeth, Anthrax, etc, moved across the state and really took away anything worthwhile for the area because no one else really comes here anymore and the people that did bring stuff here, made the festival, and then moved it, so now we are screwed.  I saw that Skindred is doing a small rock club here that I'll see next month, but haven't seen anything since 2016.

I'm lucky enough to have seen my two favorite bands, Reel Big Fish and The Smashing Pumpkins. Seen the Pumpkins twice now, AMAZING shows both times.

Stryper comes to mind.

For me to want to see a band live, I REALLY have to like them, like as in they have to be a top 10-band for me. I generally don't like being around a lot of people in a tightly crammed area; it makes me pretty anxious and it's obviously pretty uncomfortable. With that said, I either have or would like to see the following bands live if possible:

My Bloody Valentine: I've actually seen them twice, once in 2009 and again in 2013. By far the loudest fucking concerts I've ever been too; I actually thought I had permanent hearing loss from their first show.

Lush: This is my favorite band of all time, but unfortunately they broke up in 1996. They did get back together for about a year in 2016, but played very few shows in North America, and ended up canceling about half of them anyways before breaking up, again. Still, I'd love to see them live even if it will never be with their original lineup (Drummer killed himself)

Curve: Another band I'd die to see, but they've also been broken up for nearly 20-years now. All the members are still alive, but from what I've read/heard there is a snowball's chance in hell a reunion will ever happen.

These next ones are pure fantasy and 100% impossible to happen for one reason or another.

Pre-2000s Republica: They were such an amazing band in the 90s and while they are still together, age and band members going their separate ways have really dampened my desire to ever see them live.

Sneaker Pimps w/ Kelli Ali: I guess this one isn't impossible, but it might as well be since the band with Kelli Ali being the front women was super brief and the founder of the band seemed to get real butthurt that she was instrumental in the band rising to fame in the late 90s.

Nirvana: This would have to be with Dave Grohl, Chris Novecelic(SP?) and Kurt Cobain. Ideally I'd want to see them during their heyday in the early 90s. I've actually met people that saw them live during this time and they talk about it like seeing God or something. I'd absolutely love to see one of their shows back in 1992 or around then.

Mechanical Animals Era Marilyn Manson: Mechanical Animals is by far my favorite Manson album and I used to have a vhs of his world tour while promoting this album back in 1998 and 1999. Unfortunately the show in Denver was cancelled in 1999 sue to the Columbine High School shooting, but even if he hadn't cancelled there is no way my parents would have let me go. I'd have to have a time machine to do this one. I liked Holywood, but sadly everything after has been mediocre or just straight up trash imo. The guy really lost his way, but was amazing back in the 90s.

Sadly, there is only one concert I never got to go to. Pantera. Hell Id be okay with a Pantera cover band as long as it sounded good.

I actually saw them as part of the 2000 Ozzfest tour, and I remember not thinking too much about it at the time (They were the second to last show after a 10-12 hour day), but I'm still so glad I got to see them on stage.

Timing can be such a huge part of this.  I saw Metallica a few years ago, and man they are just a shadow of their former selves.  I was actually a little depressed afterwards.  This is one of the reasons I opted out on that Slayer show this past weekend, but I've got a feeling that I'm going to be kicking myself for it in about 5 years.

Also, I had a similar experience with Rage Against the Machine.  It was 94 or 95 and the Nashville police were boycotting the show.  My parents were up in arms about it.  Made me give them the lyrics sheet from the Rage album I had, and after my dad read it he pretty much just went "Wait, what's the big deal?"

Considering that my favorite band is Queen and I discovered them after Freddie had passed, I'm never going to get that show. (I am aware that Brian & Roger still do shows with guest vocals as Queen+. I am not a fan of Queen+... just not the same music at all.) In a way, I'm very OK with that- it means I don't have to watch them age. My favorite band remains youthful and perfect from behind my concert DVDs and stereo speakers, and always will.

You know who's more fun live than they probably have any right to be? Ninja Sex Party. For a silly comedy act, they do an amazing show! The only downer was they gave a large amount of set time to their opener, and their backing band (TWRP) doing their own set. I mean, it's nice of them to make sure everyone gets equal representation, but I did not like MC Chris at all (just utterly and completely not my style), and I'm neutral to TWRP's music, so I basically spent half to two thirds of the show waiting for the band I came to see. Still worth it, though!

Going to concerts had wore off on me sometime around 2005, for the reason that they were no longer as enchanting after having worked in the music business. I do not go to any concerts now and maybe only 2 or 3 in the past 10 years. The only band I would want to see is Morbid Angel, but they are already off my "bucket list."

Sadly, I got old, married, had kids, and the idea of going to a concert has grown tiring and too expensive. I loved going and seeing bands in the late 90s/Early 2000s in Deep Ellum, Dallas. There are a few I would be tempted to go see:

Iron Maiden
Queens of the Stone Age
Smashing Pumpkins
Pearl Jam
Manchester Orchestra
Jimmy Eat World (always loved them and my wife really loves them.)

There are too many bands I'll never get to see to list, but some of the mains ones are:

Nirvana
Joy Division
Mother Love Bone

Bands I was happy to have seen:

Coheed and Cambria - 2008
Pantera - 1992
ZZ Top - 1992
Metallica - 1999 (Summer Sanitarium when James got sick and the other bands filled in.)
Korn - 1999 - (Summer Sanitarium)
System of a Down - 1999 (Summer Sanitarium)
Bad Religion - 2000
Jimmy Eat World - 2001 (Before Bleed American was re-released)
Collective Soul
Anberlin (twice, one was on their farewell tour.)
Flickerstick (Once when their debut album was released and once during their farewell tour.)

I'd really like to see Rush.

Otherwise all the bands I would like to see are dead.
