The 'orginal' entry wasnt correct, so stop stealing stuff from the internet that isnt correct. Makes live alot easier, because im not checking it. So i had to make a new entry. Just delete the stuff with only a name and a wrong picture (just delete, dont check).

Just know that if you submit a duplicate entry and it becomes known, the entries will merge together. That said, it is easier on everyone's behalf to improve existing entries instead of creating new ones if the specific item already has an entry. You certainly did not have to make a new entry.

I agree with you that stock art is contradictory to a successful entry, but our site has allowed stock imagery since rules have been formed. So, the best option available is to instead update outdated stock art images with correct ones. We will not be removing any entry based on stock art use alone. Rarely do entries get deleted at all.

entry is odd. The Front cover picture is from the manual not from the front cover. I have this game with a different EAN (5029988004041). According to my search the EAN currently provided was a sticker on the outside case above printed EAN on the back cover - otherwise it is the same release but the information is sparse.

Here it is

If you add the one you have, then 62112 can get a descriptor like (barcode label).

If i change the picture i get a rejection with already on file, so im not going that way.

And it might be a different version.

Im not looking all over the internet if there is a variant or not. I look at the picture, and whats on the fields. If its different i make a new entry.

I'm pretty sure I need a descriptor for https://vgcollect.com/item/251427 but I'm not certain what to use as I cant see anything similar. Only found the one copy on Tradera. https://www.tradera.com/item/340702/583508715/athens-2004-ps2-new-

Single language variants of Danish, Norwegian, Finnish and Swedish exist.

In most cases with the same TLD being used for a specific item in a category, it is done in error. But, with older items, these sort of country-specific and region-specific releases have simultaneously occurred. We don't know what the circumstances are at this moment, so for now you can attach a [DK][FI][NO][SE] TLD descriptor until we can learn more about this item.

Here is another set of items as an example that I've encountered before. We don't have the needed information, so the two name formats are fine to coexist for the time being.

Just clarifying to not cause any confusion - Editing some barcodes in PS2 [NA] (Not converting entries) . A lot of information seems to be incorrect and a lot of the images appear to be from the wrong platform.

I believe all your edits were approved. Like you're saying, plenty of older entries are either lacking in or feature incorrect information which still need to be re-checked. More or less, this pertains to every field.

Ive noticed what looks like a barcode error.

EU PS2 game - Marvel vs Capcom 2
https://vgcollect.com/item/41898

The barcode on this listing doesnt exist according to the barcode finders ive tried.  I now own this game and the barcode is 5055060920527 and that works on the barcode finders.

I know you dont like us to amend the barcodes on the existing listings and i would usually just create a new listing.  But there is only 1 EU release of this game so we need to ensure the 1 listing is correct.

I will enter more database details and the cover/disc scans once we can agree what to do about this barcode error.

Thanks

I haven't been able to find any online listings that feature both front and back artwork simultaneously. However, I did find a scan of the back cover in addition to a blurry photo. So, the item certainly does exist.

It seems that the EAN could relate to a Finnish regional release based on the VET/SFB rating, but I believe it to instead be general Europe released based on the back Capcom product code, as other general Europe releases utilize the CJEX sequence. If that is the case, then a new entry for the UK release will need to be submitted with a [UK] TLD descriptor.
