There is an option to look at sent messages but it never works for me. And I cant find where to recover a deleted message.

Ya I noticed this too, I wasn't sure if the message went through or if it just was not showing up.

I think you have to set up the option first:

Messages -> Preferences -> Change Settings -> Save a copy of each personal message in my sent items by default.

Let me know if you guys can even see that options. Some of the permissions are still messed up from the forum switch.

I have all my messages set to display as conversation. Have you tried that? Then you can see everything in context.

I found that. Didnt realize it was an option. I changed it to conversation too.

Conversation messaging is the way to go.

I changed mine to that now. I didnt think to look at any options. I just assumed the email system was just goofy.

Yeah it really should be the default. Also message notification emails should be turned on. I'll look into this for new users.
