VGA - Video-game grading.
« on: October 15, 2012, 10:29:12 am »
Personally, I've never used this (or cared at all about it).

I hadn't even thought of it in ages, until, I read Zing's post in the "Case of Lunar(s)" thread.

So...what do you other collectors here think of it?

Does anyone use it?

Will you buy a "graded" game for more than an obviously mint, factory-sealed version of the same game?

Seems to me (IMHO), to be a waste of time & money.

- thoughts?

No experiences with them personally but my main gripe is that these people are entirely self-appointed experts - they're literally just some guys sealing stuff up, slapping a sticker on top and charging money for some BS "grading".

Like I said - I've never used/wanted to use this (and I certainly wouldn't pay any more for something because of it); but, what I'm hearing is pretty much what I expected (and agree with).

Oh I don't doubt any of that, I was just responding to your question about personal reasons/experiences :)

I wasn't directing anything at your comment, kimimi...just saying that my "assumptions" seem to be co-inciding w/ other's thoughts & opinions on it :)

P.S.
- thinking of adding a "Cloudslash"/"general" thread here - what do you think, kimimi?

I understand why people get it done but for me it's pointless when you can't verify what is actually in the box. There is nothing to say that what is on the inside matches what is on the outside.
