Anyone able to pre-order one of those Game & Watch Super Mario Bros. units yet (in the US)? As far as I can tell they still haven't gone on sale anywhere yet.
No.  Just yesterday Nintendo removed the subtext "Not approved by the FCC" or whatever the text was from adverts, so preorders should go up soon.

They are in Europe, I think Ferraso I got one?  But not here.

Semi-related: that Mario 35th Anniversary Pin set was gone in minutes, too.

I suppose Nintendo was upfront about the pins being in limited supply, but this situation seems to have been with great scarcity. I've heard rumors of a second wave to come, but it's presumably just hearsay.

I could actually get those pins, but unfortunately don't own a Switch to properly prove I purchased Super Mario 3D All-Stars—it's literally the last mission I have to complete in order to claim that pin set.

So I ended up ditching my WoN display case for some Best Buy Atlantic media shelves to put in my new game/computer room. Sounds like a downgrade, but really the WoN case was more like storage (my whole retro collection was in that thing and you could only see some of it), and these shelves are more for display, shelf-porn style.

In the process of transferring everything over I've realized I have so many damn games... so many. Given that shelf space is still somewhat limited with these, it's also helping me realize which games I really don't care all that much for. Some I'm happy to display, others I'm so-so, and others I find not worthy of any shelf space at all on my new displays. So I'll be packing away some of the games from my collection, and considering just selling them off eventually. Having a couple hundred NES is a lot more than what it sounds like (I can't imagine the space required to own 700 and some). I also need to get some freaking N64 end-labels ASAP. Without them, N64 carts all seem like a waste of space on a display shelf.

When I finally get this all organized the way I like (which won't be alphabetical, more like a jigsaw puzzle of games) I'll take some pictures of what will essentially be most of my game collection on display. I still need to head back to Best Buy and pick up maybe a couple more of these things before I could even hope to have room for everything!

So, have any of you ever been so far as to even pretend to even want to go to do more like?

Just beat Crystalis, again. Love that game, so much. Now I have beaten the NES version (multiple times), the Game Boy Color version, and now the Xbox One version via the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection.

Still going through all my games. Realizing I have a lot of PlayStation stuff that I'm not crazy about. PS1 and especially PS2, I have a lot of RPGs and what I consider filler that I bought over the years that I can't see myself ever touching. Probably about 30% of my PS1 and PS2 collections I think I can justify selling off. Similar numbers for Xbox 360. About 20% of my NES and SNES collections too. I went a little overboard in the early years of game hunting, everything was cheap and at the time new and exciting to come across. Some of these consoles got hit hard with the collector fever apparently.

When it comes to limited space, you start to understand more what you value and what you don't. How do you guys with huge collections fit all this stuff in one room?!

We don’t
I can’t speak for all of the large collection people, but I’m a crazy person.
My collection takes up a whole building.

I assume you mean like an outdoor shed? Must be a very large one. I can't imagine it being any less in square footage than a master bedroom. People who have large finished basements are lucky. This is why I'd like to own a split-level home, there's always a lot of extra square footage on the lower level to do whatever you want with.

Yeah. It’s an 12x32 she’s that I finished out to make it like a little house.
No matter what I do, I always want a little more room.

My stuff is split between multiple rooms... No basements down here in Texas and I really don't want to build a shed when I don't know that we want to live in this house forever.
