So, I've been told by the girl that I've been dating for the last month or so (nothing *very* serious; mostly casual relationship) that, as part of my birthday present/"birthday-package"...
*NOTE* - (My B-Day is next Thurs. 10-25) & the
"Silent Hill" 3-D movie comes-out on the day after my B-Day (10-26)
...she's going to be taking me/treating me to go & see the new Silent Hill move (along w/ breakfast @ I.H.O.P, late-lunch/early-dinner 'buffet' / with a "Mystery/Who-done-it" dinner show in Atlantic City, some gambling in the casinos, staying-over in a nice suite (with some nice, late-night room-service champagne)...and ending the next morning w/ a nice, lazy breakfast in bed (room service, again) kind of thing.
Anywhoo...the main point/question(s) here are:
(1). Is anyone else thinking about/planning to go see this movie?,
(2). What kind of expectations/lack of expectations do you have about this movie? - Since, as we all very well know, good/great games do not, in any way, *Usually* translate as well into other & different types of media(s).
(3). Did anyone see the other Silent Hill movie(s)? / How were they?(4). How many other Silent Hill movies have there been before this one - What/Which Silent Hill games were they based-on?
- For that matter, which game/games is this new one based-on?, and
(5). Lastly, feel free to talk about/tell the rest of us here about *ANY* other movies that were based-on video games, name & talk-about different ones (I'm sure that there have been tons of "Video-Games-Turned-Into-Movies" that I'm unaware of)...and...of course...which of these movies were good, great, and/or terrible?!
P.S.- Since I haven't yet had the time/chance to watch my Blu-Ray copy of
FF: Advent Children and/or my regular DVD of
whatever-the-name-is of that "other" "Final Fantasy"-based movie...I'd also appreciate it if those of you here who *have* seen them could take the time to also talk about them (I'm not at all concerned about *Spoilers*)...what they're about, what you liked/didn't like about them, etc...
As always, Thanks!
