That specific fate/stay night is saber's route.
Fate zero is a prequel to the stay night.
The new fate/stay night: unlimited blade works (2014) is Rin's route. There was also a movie for this route sometime around 2010.
I was surprised for fate/stay night to actually get another route animated.
The heaven's feel is the last route which has yet to have a show.
The VN was really good.
Type-Moon is such a great company.

No, but it's just a spinoff of Fate/Stay Night.

Oh yeah then there is the other notorious spinoff: Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya. I like Illya but I didn't want her to turn into a magical girl. I watched a few episodes of season 1 & 2... It was uhhh not really to my liking. I never really got into Magical Girls except Sailor Moon.

In the beginning when I saw this show prior to my VN reading it was amazing like 10/10, but after reading the VN and looking at how the show turned out it turn a little mediocre. I'm sure this adaptation could of been done million times better, but some would say it was butchered or out of pace or stupid dialogues.

This is mostly the amateur Translator's fault because he directly translated the language.

Saber is still my favorite route, so I still give it 7.5/10.

There has been conflicts with how the Anime has been released because If you watch one route you spoil a different route and ETC. So there is always a debate on which show to start with. My answer is just play %100 of the VN but only hardcore Fate/Type-Moon fan do that. If not then start with who you think you'll like the best then move to the next route.

Overall I dont think it was a waste of a purchase. The Fate series is always a 10/10 for me.

Only reason for the "Fate" purchase was because I saw it online while ordering the Tears to Tiara anime + I remembered that a friend rec'd it to me a long time ago.

How's that Sword Art Online anime & what's it about?

Sword Art Online (SAO) is another .hack type of anime. Players play the titular game and are unable to log out. Also, if they die in the game...THEY DIE FOR REAL ZOMG! XD I know that the premise is ridiculous, but SAO was surprisingly entertaining. The first season is the best. The second season was fair. I haven't even bothered watching the third season since the new premise is ridiculous. You might enjoy it. If you have access to something like Netflix or Crunchy Roll, you should watch a couple of episodes and see what you think.
