You guys ever heard of Year 200X? They do metal cover of classic NES themes, and they're fan-freaking-tastic at it.

They're the band known for the songs in the Sonic games. It might be a bit of an over simplification. But they are basically the corporate rock band for SEGA. The guitarist worked for SEGA. Most of their known songs were written for SEGA consoles. Although, they do have a history before that as Sons of Angels.

Plus, any band that has a cover of Super Sonic Racing has my respect.  (In this case, the original is a lot better... well... it's catchier to say the least)

Sonic Boom - Sonic CD (in 1993 this was amazing. I am a Spencer Nilsen fan though)
