Games or Franchises that need a sequel.
« on: March 02, 2013, 01:18:56 pm »
There are a few that have been brought up in another thread I made so I thought this one would be welcome.

Mutant League games - hockey and football both need to come back in the worst way!
Mirror's Edge - I really enjoyed the game play of the first one and I have been hoping for a second since then
Fire Pro Wrestling - I want to play this on a modern system, 30 man battle royals? Yes please
Dragon Force - I loved it on the Saturn so I want to see a modern one
Super Mario RPG - I don't know how this hasn't been milked

Shadow Hearts - Probably never gonna happen, since Sacnoth/Nautilus is dead, but since much of the team is at feelplus, I guess there's always a slim hope.
Legend of Dragoon - It's only been about 13 years, it could totally happen! Er...
Silent Bomber - So much fun, but so far under the radar, it might as well have never existed.
Strider - Side-scrolling action games don't get much better than Strider 2.
Dangun Feveron - One of the best Cave shooters ever, but since it's never been released on console, most people overlook it. Effing brilliant.
Ninja Warriors Again - I've always had a HUGE soft spot for this game, and it'd be fantastic to see a modern iteration.
Progear no Arashi - Cave meets steampunk. How could anyone not love that?
Vampire Savior - The HD collection is a start, but I want a proper sequel!

I'll probably write more later, but for now, I'm off to grab sushi for lunch :D

Crystalis for the NES. The game felt like it was the original Legend of Zelda, but improved. Better graphics, bigger world, more RPG elements, more NPCs to interact with, and more dungeons. Probably my favorite game on the NES, and IMO the best game SNK ever made.

It did get a port on Game Boy Color, but never an official sequel. And it so deserves one.

Although I didn't like the first one so I never played the second, I'm surprised it took this long for someone to ask for it.

I'd like to see a sequel to Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. That storyline is pretty sweet, and they could make it all a mini-trilogy.

I saw an Osman PCB on eBay the other day, WAY out of my price range though :(

In any case, I vote for -

Alisia Dragoon
Burning Rangers

SO BAD. Would also accept Burning Rangers HD :D

Shenmue 3... kickstarter... I guess my post was noticed. Your welcome, world!

I guess Yu Suzuki is looking at crowdfunding to get rights from SEGA. Most realistically, it would be continued in a manga or anime. Honestly, I would LOVE a manga to be done to finish the series. Too bad I am pessimistic about it.

Could be better than the mega64 "how shenmue ends"
