Nope, it was sold at several retailers (Amazon & direct from Namco I know, I think Best Buy as well).  It was sold out pretty much everywhere, but you never know if it will pop back  in stock someplace.  Might want to check a local Gamestop in a couple of days too, if someone doesn't pickup their preorder you might can snag one that way.  It's a super nice set, definitely one of the best CE's I've seen.

Picked up a few things yesterday:

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 (PS3)
Crash Bash (PS1)
Doom 3: Collectors Edition (XBOX)

And I will join the troves of jelly VG users over those who were proactive and got the Tales of Symphonia Collectors of Editions. The set looks freakin sick!

I might just do that too... (both the crying and the stalking). I'm kicking myself so much for not seeing it sooner, it's got to be my favourite CE in a while, and Tales of Symphonia happens to be my favourite RPG   I'll hope that Gamestop has one!

I have a giant soft spot for ToS, old cosplay and all. I've wanted to read the book for awhile, too, so it's worth it to me. I'm going to do some calls this evening and check with my local stores, my mom is going to have to get it for me if they have one, as I'll be at work at 9/10am when they open. :/

I never got into any of the Tales games before Vesperia this gen, but now it's one of my favorite franchises.  So I'm really looking forward to playing through Symhonia.  I played some of it back in the day on the GC, but didn't get that far. 

Anyway, question - is the novel supposed to be read before or after playing the game(s)?  Does anyone know?
