Wow, I am actually surprised that no one has said Shenmue yet. Although if any of you watched the Shenmue postmortem today at GDE, it is pretty clear that we will never see a Shenmue 3

Y'know, I loved the original Shenmue and was extremely excited about the sequel.  But when the DC died and Sega announced that the DC version wasn't coming to the US - instead, we would get a Xbox version a year later - that just broke me.  I eventually imported the UK version, but I only played half-way or so through the game.  The momentum had died for me, and since then I've never really cared if we got a third one or not.

Either high res 2D, or a slightly toon shaded 3D version. You know you'd buy it.

Bought the Game Boy Advance re-release, didn't enjoy the game as much as I loved the PlayStation re-release with soundtrack.  Maybe I'm just bummed that in the Game Boy Advance version, Stray becomes Cait Sith, or the game doesn't have a soundtrack or comes with Final Fantasy V like the PlayStation version.

As far as games that I'd love to see return:

• Wild Arms: original remains the best, odd-numbered games were all right, even-numbered sucked.  Wild Arms: Alter Code F is completely horrible!
• Suikoden: Suikoden: Tierkreis had annoying voice-overs and characters weren't all that interesting compared to the previous games.

As for genre, I would love to see open, pirate-world RPGs similar to Sea Dogs, first Pirates Of The Caribbean, and Age Of Pirates.

OMG yes this! I love the first one.

 I have never played Jet Set Radio Future, but I got an Xbox and the game not too long ago so I'm excited to try it . Just haven't found the time.

Future is even better than the original IMO.  Such a great series, it's a shame that it's been abandoned so long (and possibly for good ).

It makes me sad too. At least I still get the opportunity to enjoy Future for the first time!
