Mainstream VS Undergound

Which one do you prefer mainstream or underground rap? I prefer underground because it's not about making a hit unlike mainstream. Don't get me wrong there are some good mainstream, but I say underground is better. Oh yeah mainstream is so damn reptitive.

I don't usually see the difference aside from lyrical content, but then again, I don't like rap to begin with unless it's joke rap stuff like Epic Rap Battles of History or maybe a new Weird Al parody lol

Don't really listen to rap aside from a few current ones, also usually mainstream 90's and below.

Well, my top hip hop artist is Sole if that tells you anything. I can listen to Mos Def on occasion but that's pushing it. Hip hop is a great genre, but most rappers are insufferable embarrassments to music.
