and...I'm off to GS to see if there's anything that catches my interest & that I don't already have, in the $150 - $200 price range (approximate amount of GS gift card money); anyone who knows my tastes & has an idea of what I have & like, any suggestions or ideas?

I got some cool stuff, though I knew what I would get for the most part! The t-shirt says "Classically trained", and that Grumpy Cat is a super soft hand puppet. I got a few other things too, but I figured that's the highlights for showing here  :) I can finally start Tales of Hearts R!

Eh, Kingdoms of Amalur was just alright lol  It really doesn't do anything great or overly new.  Not bad for an RPG time waster though.

I used some Christmas cash to get Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.  Actually ended up being abit tougher to find as the Gamestops I went to were out of them, along with Toys R Us, but managed to find it at Best Buy with only a couple copies left.

I love Asura's Wrath SOOOO much! :D

I got:

Psychonauts (PS2) - this is FINALLY back in my collection!
Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS
a couple of Penny Arcade books
X-Men: Days of Future Past (book that collects all the comics in that storyline - I know there's a term for those, but it's slipping my mind)
a Big Lebowski t-shirt & Pop! Vynil figure of The Dude
an Orko bobblehead (my wife gave me the Skeletor Comicon exclusive one last year)
a Darth Vader ceramic mug (to match the Chewbacca & Yoda ones I already have - think I just need the Storm Trooper now)
a 3-month sub to LootCrate
a Ratchet & Clank figurine package - from the same friend that gave me Quark for my b-day, he got both at the same time :P

And some clothes & $25 cash, which I put down on a FF Type-0 HD preorder.

Psychonauts (PS2) - this is FINALLY back in my collection!

I recently tried that game out for the first time. I've heard a lot of high praise about it, but I didn't like it. I found the art style and writing similar to that of a late 90s early 2000s Nickelodeon cartoon, and definitely not in a good way. Gameplay and environments were less than whimsical and that just won't do in a platformer for me. Maybe it was one of those had to be there type games? It's praised like a cult classic, but I don't see it.  :-\

Aw, that's too bad.  I don't like platformers, but this game got me to play it anyway.  I think the platforming bits reminded me a little of Tony Hawk games or something, and I thought some of the level designs were pretty ingenious at the time (milkman ftw).

My wife and son are also gamers so Christmas in general is usually pretty good for us.

Here's what we got. Let's see if you can guess who got what. :)
