What are you playing?

I just started playing the PS4 remaster of Grim Fandango yesterday.  Btw - this game is free right now for PS+ members.

It's my 1st time playing it and, while imo, the controls and lighting leave a lot to be desired - the humor more than carries it.

Anyone else played it?

Grim Fandango holds one of the best soundtracks ever! Played it back in the day. It was a super experience back then, and I guess it holds up pretty ok.

It did have an awesome soundtrack!

Meh, Pier Solar has worn-out its welcome so I'm moving on to Lost Dimension.

I have never played any of these running games (whatever this genre is called) before. I actually find it fun for a free game. Fairly easy too other than a few cheap moments like you can't see the next obstacle coming up because another is in front of it.

Final Fantasy Explorers (3DS)

So far, so good! It definitely pulls a lot of things from Monster Hunter, but it's a little more simplified and feels more relaxing and easy-going, like what I remember from co-oping with friends in the Gamecube version of Phantasy Star Online.

The ability/magic system is pretty interesting - you're able to mutate spells and abilities and have them be capable of causing side affects (beneficial or detrimental) to the targeted party.

There's a lot of stuff that's clunky and not as nicely streamlined as it could be, but I'm enjoying it a lot so far.

Started My first Wii U game last Saturday. Xenoblade Chronicle X.

Too much going on to keep track of. It felt like a chore playing that game. I sold it.

That's how I felt about Animal Crossing: New Leaf, but I didn't sell it back. It was really nice to go back to it after a long break.  Different mental state, I guess

I've been playing only Fantasy Life on my 3ds for the last two months or so.

Even though I have plenty of games left to open and dive into.

..this includes, but not limited to, Witcher 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Bravely Default, Legend of Legacy.

And, I'd really love to give Clash at Demonhead a whirl eventually.

I've been playing some Pokemon Picross and Nintendo Badge Arcade along the side with my regular games.. I'm such a sucker for the badges, especially the Pokemon ones. I haven't spent any money... yet

Haha, yeah, I was playing the badge arcade regularly but finally was able to let it go for a bit. So satisfying when you get a bunch in one go!

Yes! I got like four badges this morning with one go; it was really satisfying.

Disappointing. I stopped playing after this really -REALLY- annoying part. It's a real shame, because the game had such a strong and promising start. In it's place, I decided to go with Klonoa for the GBA.

Gave up on Fallout 3 and Nier, just couldn't get into them. Lately I've been playing Final Fantasy XIII and Bioshock 2. Wife and I just finished War in the North.
