The gf and I have been playing though Super Mario All-Stars (not The Lost Levels).  I'm amazed that she can be so good at something like Ninja Gaiden and so bad at Mario.

I started Final Fantasy X last night (this is the first FF game and first "Traditional" RPG I've ever played), I'm about 3 1/2 hours in and I like it so far.

It feels like Sleeping Dogs, so far. Only a lot less polished.

FFX was the first Final Fantasy game and the first JRPG that I played! That's funny Glad to hear you're enjoying it! I love the music in the game in particular.

I started playing IA/VT Colorful today and it's every bit as awesome as I had hoped it would be. It was 100% worth the long wait from the numerous delays the game was subjected to. The Crystal Box version of the game is a really nice limited edition too.

Grabbed the DBZ: Extreme Butoden demo on the 3DS tonight and had some fun with that.  It's gonna be a fairly entertaining fighter that doesn't require too much memorization of complicated moves and such.  Not sure about its longevity in terms of play on the 3DS though cause after playing for just a bit, my button mashing thumb feels fairly worn out lol  Would've been nicer on the Wii U, but I've been needing something new for my 3DS since Xenoblade Chronicles failed me.

Still waiting for Dragon Quest VIII to come in so I can start my next RPG. In the meantime I'm going to start up AC2 since it's not that long

Yeah I tried to get into Fortress of Doom several times but it's just not happening. Lufia II on the other hand is amazing and a serious time drain if you want to complete it 100%. The optional 99 floor dungeon is crazy to beat without save states.
