First console I'm going to be able to get (and want to get) day one! I'm very excited and this thing looks amazing! Hats off to Nintendo for really impressing me and making me want your product.

The Switch seems like what the Vita and Wii U should've been, so basically take two systems that didn't do great, grab the best features, and then put them into one better unit.
Absolutely agree.  Just hoping they don't drop the ball on the other important aspects.  It seems they really want to support competitive gaming with this system, as such, you need a solid online presence.

I'm just posting this so I can see it.   :o

This is making the rounds right now.  Doesn't confirm games, but gives a basic idea of the system support as it is right now.

I'm glad they did this, they are acknowledging they had poor third party support before and that they are doing better about it now.

Like Bethesda, they will probably republish MGS for Switch... or Metal Gear Survive will come to Switch.

I really want to keep saying NX.

NX is easier to type, anyways.

I will say I'm glad they no longer use the "Wii" name anywhere. The Switch is kind of a ho-hum name, but that's just me being nitpicky.

Again, at least the name is sensical.

It will be interesting to see where Sony and Microsoft go with their next consoles, and when that will even be. Lets hope that when/if those guys put out a new console, it will also use carts like the Switch.

I mean, if it does come out in March of 2017, you've got Nintendo's cart based console competing with the PS4 and Xbone, which still use discs. I wonder if that will affect how much 3rd party support the Switch will get for the first few years it's out.

Though maybe it's not that hard to transfer stuff over from disc to cart nowadays.

Pointed out by the YouTuber Jwittz the footage of splatoon had different hairstyles...Err tentaclestyles??? than the ones available on the Wii U game and Mario Kart 8 doesn't have King Boo as a playable character. So it does appear they are adding features to the ported games if these aren't the sequels.
