I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they're all pretty much overrated these days.  I collect & play a lot of games, but it's really gotten out of hand, just look on youtube or other large public forums and you'll see so many people that are just too emotionally invested in these to the point of taking it personally if you don't like a certain game or system.  Just google "video game death threats", jeez, lets keep things in perspective here!

True. The AlphaOmegasin's of the gaming scene kinda make you question whether games are really that cool to begin with. When people throw heaps of praise or hate all over something, a lot of times I'm thinking - yeah it's cool but chill nerd, it's just a game.  :-X

I'm not a fan of hating on stuff, and hating is too rampant in gaming. My vote was Saturn, but still I like the system and usually I try to focus on the positives. Got to say there's nothing I truly hate as far as gaming products go. Seems like a waste of energy.

Chalk another one up for the Saturn. Very loved console by many, but I'm yet to understand why exactly. In 1995, the world didn't want a 2D gaming powerhouse, Sega completely missed the mark with the direction the industry was going. Much like the N64, not a lot of software support and you either love or hate the few who furnished the console with something to play. I'm not overly enthusiastic about Working Designs games, and Sega failed to see many of their previous franchises follow up on the Saturn, including Sonic.  :o

For whatever reason, when I think of Saturn I think lackluster ports that are probably better on PS1, and a handful of oddball titles that seem okay, but not especially appealing and mostly very expensive. Buying a game for the Saturn is like pulling teeth, and if have to import to enjoy the system, I say forget it.

Lemme try this in the correct thread after getting some sleep. Anyone else happen to go to CCAG convention yesterday?

Suppose no one else went to CCAG 2015 in New Olmstead, OH today besides me? Wrong thread.

Been playing Rayman 2.

Right now Dreamcast it seems. I've more than doubled my collection so far in July.

2001
Slipknot and company, skateboarding, Pokemon, South Park, hideously oversized cargo pants, pogs, WCW/NWO... Just a bunch of crap that I hopped on the bandwagon of.

As the title asks. I noticed you can buy them from Japan for a lot cheaper, but I have a NA Dreamcast.

Ever have one of those days where you go to a place you've been buying games from forever and BAM it's shutting down, and they're carrying out the stock on crates. You have like 5 minutes to think fast and maybe buy something?

A lot of my old spots are dying off as of late. The adventures in actual game chasing are less and less.

I want them to make a metal amiibo. non special edition. half goes to company and half goes to the family. They should make to where you can unlock him in super smash bros. that would be bad ass. https://www.change.org/p/nintendo-create-an-amiibo-of-satoru-iwata

That seems pretty cool. I'd like to buy one.

Best was going to see Exotic Animal Petting Zoo open for a bunch of other bands I've never heard of. Worst was Fuel and Breaking Benjamin, I went pretty much because it was big bands playing in my small town, but the show was pretty meh. Not a fan.

 :'( So sad.

Very depressing news, I had no idea about his health. He's gone too soon, but his brilliance and his work will live on.

Thoughts? It's like you get to play the game, on a CD:P

Nice snag there! Some great titles.

My Dreamcast wishlist is getting pretty dang small, I'm about to round mine out. I need Record of Lodoss War, Sword of Berserk: Guts Rage, Sega Smash Pack, and Sega Rally 2.

I'm just getting started so-to-speak, I'm going all hardcore Dreamcast right now. I neglected the console for way, way too long. I'm in the mood for snapping up anything that looks half-way decent, and I've got a local source with some low priced inventory.
