Classic Video Games / Re: do you know of a vary gory retro game

We must not forget the 2 Atari 2600 games that where Branded as "too violent" and where put behind store counters and where only available to buy if someone asked for them. Halloween & Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

And of course we must not forget the games that started games being rated.
Night Trap (which really isn't gory)
and Mortal Kombat. (remember how Genesis you had to use a code to see blood while SNES edited all the gore out and made it fail.)

And we must not forget Doom and Splatterhouse.

Chiller and Death Race where released (poorly i might add) to the NES.

Classic Video Games / Re: what got you into collecting video games

I started the day my grandfather bought me my 1st Atari 2600 when i was 7 and i still own it today. Got Pac-Man, Combat, Kangaroo, Frogger and Phoenix that day.
Later on I remember going to garage sales on my bike hunting down old Atari, Colecovision, Intellivision, and NES games when most people only cared about Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. Some of my rarest games today i found back in those days when no one cared about old video games. lol

I own a APF MP-1000 myself, kind of a crappy system, really cheaply made.
Also have to drag out a old tube TV to play it, screen gets messed up on a HDTV.

But the oldest game system in my collection is the grandpa of systems...
The original Magnavox Odyssey.

Can't get much older then that unless you own a Computer Space Arcade cabinet.

best finds I picked up from garage sales this year so far was...
- Mega Man 7 on SNES for $5.
- A Sega Saturn with 37 games and other accessories, with 2 Genesis systems and CD add-on in box with 20 games for $25.
- A Sharp Nintendo TV combo with both controllers.

Haven't had much luck with flea markets this year.

Hello been adding my collection and found a few odd systems need to be added.

- Commadore Amiga CD32
- NUON
- Memorex VIS
- Apple Bandai Pippin
- CreatiVision
- RCA Studio II
- Gizmondo
- Sammy Atomiswave
- APF MP-1000
- Casette Vision
- Xavix Port

Most of these are obscure systems but i own most all of these and would rather not list them all as "other".
thanks
