Both of these would be a fan translation, and it seems to me that neither Homebrew nor Unreleased options are adequate.
Or it may be that while the Edit page says "Unreleased (but official)" and the actual page just would say "Unreleased" is what is mixing me up.

What do you guys think about this?

No, I'm saying that though it looks like a dupe, it is actually a listing error.

So then you are saying it is in the wrong category? You should be able to change category when you submit an edit.

I think the other part of it that goes unnoticed is that a lot of the major sites out there got bought out by the big media companies, who then proceeded to try and maximize advertisement revenue with those sites. Right now GameSpot is going through this and their site's forums and comments have plummeted over the past year as users have grown tired of being bombarded with ads.

I was thinking about it, but I don't know whether that is a good enough example, or just something that happens. We can remember what happened to ForumPlanet when IGN bought it. They initially just closed all the forums and supposedly deleted them and replaced the forums. But those new ones were horrible, you lost your account and all your posts disappeared. The amount of info on those boards was amazing and it was a shame. Only later did they put the archive back up, but the damage was already done.

woulndn't it be quite easy to code a verification when entering new objects so that if an object beginning with "The " or "the " is automatically forbidden? Otherwise just cleaning up the mess will not really stop the problem from occuring

Yes, the input could be sanitized. Same thing could be used for barcode entries to reject entries over x digits, and to remove spaces. I think tho, that the edit and item submit process would need to add a verify step, which isn't currently in place. Something in between submit and when the record is sent to the queue.

I fixed Cube Connector (former mystery item). FINALLY, someone put one of these up for sale. Mystery solved.
Also put in picture for the Lynx AC Adaptor.

Deleted. No physical game has been announced, so it shouldn't be in the db as an un-released game.

It is not really a big trend. Forums have come and gone since forums have been around. As a forum fan, I'd say about 80% of the forums I've ever been a member of have either disappeared, shut down or become ghost towns. I've even seen big-time forums (thousands of posts a day) end up with 0 posts a day. It happens. People making a forum do not even think that 10-15 years later it would still be running.

Anaheim Angels (I refuse to call them LA).

I like to refer to them as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Angels in the Outfield.

Actually, if there was something I am behind on, its setting which parts of a game I have. It is mainly the Sega games in my collection that I went and check cart/case/manual/insert boxes for. When I first joined the site, I just added the game to my collection with no boxes checked.

I believe that there is only 1 game in my collection that is not in the database. That is because I have it listed as "unverified variation" and haven't confirmed that it truly exists. It is a case of not knowing where a label is supposed to be, the one I have is missing the label.

I was super excited when Dynasty Warriors Gundam was first announced, but to me the game did not translate well. Or maybe I expected more.

For me, any franchise that already has extra no-bodies to use as the regular soldiers. I do not like it when the regulars need to be created for the game, as happened in the Transformers games. TF is not a great example because (while drones exist) it is a franchise with a large amount of individual characters. Even MOTU or Thundercats is in this mold so it wouldn't fit for me.

Maybe if they made a space version where you just use a ship, it would be good. I still have good memories of X-Wing vs Tie Fighter and playing the large space battles.
