General / Do any of you folks use gameplay trackers

I was recently informed about play trackers and have started using them.  A lot of them seem primarily geared towards Steam but a lot of them have support for consoles.

I've been checking out https://www.playtracker.net, https://completionist.me/, and https://metagamerscore.com/

Playtracker does quarterly quests where if you earn 7 of the goals you get a steam key for a specific game, this past challenge got you Escape Simulator, which is kinda neat.  The other ones just provide a form of global achievement tracking, it's all really neat.

Video Game Database Discussion / Sims 3 guides

I'm getting ready to make an entry for Sims 3 strategy guide and I noticed there are two strategy guides that look similar but are indeed different.  I'm uncertain how they should be listed to differentiate them

Site Feedback / Bug: Bootstrap hides edit button and title under odd resolution/window size

So someone pointed this out to me, so I decided to replicate and screenshot

Under certain resolutions, the page's bootstrap gets a bit goofy and hides the title and edit button for an entry



Needs to be adjusted so it just does the ellipses.

Video Showcase / Ignition365's Too many games challenge

I'm still throwing stuff together, but I've been streaming my progress in games to twitch and then rebroadcasting to Youtube before Twitch delists older videos.

Some games I'm streaming after already being part way into the game, it's an unfortunate consequence of having just recently started streaming.

My goal right now is mostly just recording stuff for my ability to go back and see my enjoyment/non-enjoyment of games, because I know by the end of the year I can't recall just how much I liked one game over another (Thinking specifically about TLOU2, RE3, and FF7R from last year)... but I'd also at some point like to use it as an opportunity for people to suggest games for me to play.  But that's for when I can properly display my vgcollect list and backloggery list so suggestions can be things I own but haven't beaten yet.  I thought about posting this a week or so back, but it was strictly Dark Souls 3 videos and I didn't want it to be just one thing.  Now I've got at least a handful of different games I've streamed.

I'd like to be able to use the advanced search feature without having to enter an item name.  So for example, I can view all PS2 [NA] games from Publisher "Konami" or all Gamecube [NA] where Ratings "ESRB - M" or PS4 [NA] where Genres "Puzzle"

General / Do you have any fond memories of games for non-gaming reasons?

Essentially really liking a game, remembering liking a game, or having fond memories of a game, not because the game itself was really good, but because of some other reason?

For instance, I have fond memories of Ghost Recon Wildlands, not because the game is amazing, but because when I played it, my wife had went out of town, my kitten had just had surgery so she had her cone on and had to be taken care of, and I had just had dental surgery so I was just chilling at home playing Wildlands for like a week bonding with a little kitten that I had previously had no interest in having anything to do with.
