Most Sold
Well, items which have been added to the Sell List. I would assume that any items added to this list have not yet been sold—that's how I treat the list, anyway.
Just like the title says. There should be a system implemented on the website that causes an announcement to pop up whenever users log in, specifically during special occasion, like whenever there are polls taking place on the forums that intend to make any type of change to the website. Based on the various polls that have taken place on the forums in the past that concern the Style Guide, the participation was abysmally low and in no way representative of the number of users the website as a whole actually has. The announcement would be a way to not only bring attention to the users, but also stir interest in the goings-on of the website they're using, the forums themselves, and to also help diversify the discussion and vote results. I think it would be great to see other people joining the fold and voicing their opinions, and believe what I'm proposing is simple enough to help on this front; after all, VGCollect isn't just the few of us that keep participating on the forums.
EDIT: If this has already been suggested, then move along...
I've just started using VGCollect, after being a Discogs user for my music for some time. Two things I find very handy over there could really improve things here.
First, a duplicate entry button. While putting together my collection on here, I've run into a few things I've got on (for example) both Steam and Epic, but there's only a Steam entry in the database. On Discogs, there's a link to duplicate an entry, which populates the new submission form with all the existing information so I don't need to re-enter all the credits, just change the necessary differences and submit the new entry. For the case where a Steam game gets released on Epic, or vice versa, a quick way to just change the platform and add the new entry without having to copy-paste every other field would be a great feature.
Second, a user-creatable categorization for their collection. Discogs calls this "folders". I'd just like to be able to group items in my collection as I see fit. Maybe its a group for items I've lent out to friends. Or a group for things that I bought through Humble bundles. Or grouping things based on which member of my family actually owns it. Just want me some user-creatable grouping options.
Thank you for listening.
I have another one for you to add to the list: there's the Random link and the user by the name of random, and when you try to access his collection...
You'll be pleased to know that I actually reported this issue the very day random joined our site. You'll simultaneously be disappointed that, come tomorrow, a year has passed since then. Nevertheless, the issue is on the lengthy list of dev projects to address, so it has been formally recognized a a problem.
Official (Upcoming) is still present for digital entries on other site pages, such as Collection and Wish List.
