I bought a 4TB external drive for my PS4. Worth the money. The largest game I have at the moment is probably DOOM 2016, totalling around 78GB with the patches installed.

I used to be quite horrified by the mandatory installations the PS3 had, but at least some games had the option to install the game to the hard drive. Fast forward to the PS4, and the install sizes have skyrocketed. Well, at least there are still a handful of games that don't have any patches.

In my opinion all modern consoles should automatically come with  at least a 4TB internal hard drive installed into the console

I'm out in the country shelling out big bucks for satellite internet.  For that reason I got a PS4 years before getting an XboxOne.  Despite all its workarounds the Xbox One is difficult to use without stable internet.  That being said I don't feel like updates should be the size of a game itself.  I feel like earlier games like Mass Effect 2 & Resident Evil 5 got it right, what some new weapons and an episode?  How about five bucks and one gigabyte?  You bet!  Because its all subjective, see with ME2 I felt like I got my monies worth.  When COD3 updates I curse it!  Whenever my kids cant play their game on modern equipment I offer to play Smash TV with them, no updates required!

I used to have satellite internet and it sucked big time in fact my speed most times was my  top download speen 1-10 kilobytes per second and that speed was actually at least 50-5 times slower than dial up and I also had a 4GB data cap in the year 2015

Try and see if you can get Comcast, I do know that most places in the United States rural area have Comcast DSL high speed Internet with no contract and at least a 1TB/Terri byte  data cap for about $97 a month if you get their 2nd or 3rd highest internet package, but speed is suppose to be 50mbs or 100mbs  per second. It is fast enough for me.

I mean with sattleite internet I could not even watch a single video, online or music without going over my 4GB monthly data cap For over $96 a month. when I had Sattlite internet.

Comcast is a vary good internet service provider. they have improved over the years and are always friendly in my experence

COMCAST RECOMMENDED call (only call if your not on a contract with your previous satellite Internet provider or else you may have to fork over $400 or more to your old ISP)

Classic Video Games / Re: Do You Own a Dreamcast? What Game Drew You In?
« on: September 06, 2018, 03:16:18 pm »
I never owned one or even seen one operate, Unfortunately the Sega Dreamcast lasers are in limited supply I heard. and I also heard that this console is known to blow it's lasers out quicker than most retro consoles making the system not able to read discs without a replacement

Is there really that many video games released in Japan that they needed such a long title?  ::)

that could also be a lot shorter if the text was written in Japanese I'm guessing  ???

"Lost Eden?" if you want to call that game an RPG for PC. It is more of a click adventure, but it is not an open world. I barely remember how this games story was/is  but it has things to do other then just point and click it somewhat has riddle solving and I remember Lost Eden was/is a good fun game to beat and play

 :(
Listen I buy new sealed CD's often (just not games). And according to the various photos of this game Kartia. It looks like the outer clear seal could  definitely be a resealed copy.  but the disc/game may still be untouched if the white label strip appears to be wrinkled, but not opened. And that could mean it is unopened. (if you want to be sure it is authentic) Check to see if the white label has been re-taped or has a cut in it? This could be just another common used and opened game. if indeed that game just opens up without the 2nd seal keeping it stuck together under light force

But unfortunately you might have to break the clear seal to tell if this game has the white second seal broken. Or somehow re-taped or glued shut, and if that 2nd seal is indeed broken then definitely  someone has already been into this video game case before. I am sorry about this but It don't look to promising for legendary25 in this case.

Most CD's and Sealed PS1 games come with a hard to open seal that is tightly rapped around the CD or game case. But in this case the main/first seal appears false in my experience with both most new PS1 games and hard case Music CD's.

As far as new mint sealed any kind of game. I personally don't leave something sealed unless I just want the game around for decoration. You got to be careful with buying sealed games used or second hand ( or even non sealed games used) because there always lye a chance that the game was resealed without the disc inside. The disc may or may not even be in the case if your game was resealed.

I don't want to scare you, but unless you plan to sell a video game in the future if I were you I would not leave it sealed. Do whatever you feel

I bought a sealed PS1 game once and the game was bent and it would not spin

At this point some blunt force maintenance across the concrete slab in from of my house isn't entirely out of the question.

do you know any parts of your Xbox One that are still good? like the spin deck laser or something like internal harddrive or the power supply? It may be kind of awkward to find, but there are some tech workers who fix consoles that may be able to salvage parts of your Xbox One before you trash it? I know of one but I am not sure how you or I could reach him or if he is even looking for parts

As far as I know used parts do actually sell, I think :-\

I'll deal with 3rd person in games but I don't like when games force you to go backwards while the character s facing you and you have to deal with jumping and steering blindly. First person is just what I am used to at the moment :)

Did you try to reset it back to factory default settings? I don't own an Xbox One but I do know that it was an option on the PlayStation 3.

It could be an internal part unfortunately your  X Box One modem or Network Interface Card could be fried. Or

You may want to try to reset the system to the factory settings although you may have to wait for it to update once your through with factory reset

also
It's also a thing that you may need to somehow edit the network setting. Because it may be still trying to run off the previous owners internet location, IP, and Internet Service Provider

Which do you prefer or both?

for myself I like 1st Person better in shooting games. Stuff like Resident Evil. Where you need to aim from some odd camera angle looks frustrating,  for games games I actually played before like Tomb Raider and Duke Nukem Zero Hour. The 3rd person shooting really is not my cup of tea.

But the camera is vary good in in my opinion in games like "Duke Nukem Zero Hour" because the camera zooms into first person from 3rd person when going into tight spaces unlike Tomb Raider for PS1

Beside boobies and butt pictures of a female antagonist. I don't know how Tomb Raider Series became so popular. Because I really really dislike the camera angles in Tomb Raider in my opinion it would have been better if the game let you choose a 1st person mode. When the game goes into tight corners can anyone agree?

Has anyone ever disliked the 3rd person camera angles in games like Tomb Raider

Sims and Sims 2 stuff is not rare in the slightest. You can get yourself a full set just by going to thrift stores. In fact, I stopped buying Sims stuff altogether from there because I was not that big into the series to want to bother with the variations.

The reason why I like the sims series on PC so much is because ever since I was 5 years old. I always wanted a video game that did not have limits, and with so much freedom to do whatever you want. the earlier The Sims series on PC really gave me what I wanted in a video game in my life. I have much nostalgia with especially the first series of expansions. Unfortunately I think the sims series is to old for anyone other then to keep it for to sell it off in the future.

It is a common game but according to my research you cannot find this game selling online too often and no thrift stores I know of carry the exact thing I am looking for.

that is the first series on PC and one box set called (The Sims Complete Collection) in which I am looking for the 1st the sims complete collection not just base game itself with it's expansions sold separately. the sims fans may know what I am refering to. In spite of the sims series for PC being common like you said, it has billions of fans by the way and it is a vary collectible series that I can't even find online much less in my local thrift stores. But, I am not sure I want the box set used after what happened to my old disc with the unbreakable install error in all on all my PC's

Some water is cleaner than other water, and sometimes tap water is more cleaner than bottled water. There was something in the news recently that had to do with bottled water and it said this one brand of bottled water was known to contain plastic peices meaning there  was some contaminated bottled water reported recently that was straight from the bottled water factory

Mexican water is said to not be treated and could actually kill an american if one drank it. There was a big teaching in 1990's schools that told us kids never to drink mexican tap water if you are an american or don't live anywhere near a Mexican tap water source
