I've been mostly playing MGSV, Persona Q and Etrian Odyessy Untold. With a bit of Castlevania 1 no death runs mixed in.

Classic Video Games / Re: The top 5 games that defined your childhood

That was a lot easier, once I limited it to my actual childhood.

Super Mario Bros.
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse
Secret of Mana
Final Fantasy III
Bionic Commando.

I'm still saving my change. But I gave up pop now, so I don't accumulate change as fast as I used too. I haven't turned it in yet though, as I'm saving it for a Con at the end of November.

I remember when this game came out and was excited for it, even played it on a demo unit in the store and thought it was amazing.

Then when I got it last year, I found it damn near unplayable on a regular Game Boy. It's ok on the Game Boy Player, thanks to the coloring. But when everything is all greytones it's muddy as hell. I still want to play through all 3 of them, but at the same time, I don't know if I can do it.

This is the only one of my "Big 3" (FFIII, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana) I still need to get a cart for. Which is unfortunate, because Chrono Trigger is always swapping the #1 spot w/ Final Fantasy III. I do own it for the PS1 and DS though, as well as the OST, so that's a plus.

I think this is one of the first games I can remember discovering it having different endings too, which blew my young mind.

I used to keep all of my Game Boy stuff stacked up on my desk, like this:

But then I stumbled on the idea of using Cassette cases and making custom covers, and since I'm into working in Photoshop anyway, I figured it'd be a fun little project. So now GB and GBC games are all in custom cases. The only game that doesn't fit in the tape cases is Pokemon Pinball, so it's kind of the odd kid out and lonely.

I have my GBA games in custom cases as well. But they aren't finished. you can find them in my Art thread over here: http://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,375.msg4724.html#msg4724

New cover!

Resident Evil Gaiden.

Number 800!

Resident Evil Gaiden!

I found this at a local game store for a pretty reasonable price a week or so ago and decided that if it was still available this weekend I'd snag it. It's cart only, which is fine, since I'll be making a cassette case label for it.

.. Ya know.. I forgot all about the switch in console generations... Ha

I would love to see Rock Band return. I still play the shit out of Rock Band 2 and have been on the look out for a decently priced copy of 3 and a Keyboard. If they released a new Rock Band and made it compatible with the old instruments, I'd buy it. Hell, I might even spring for an updated Drum Kit if they come out with a new one.

I think it may be best to wait and see exactly how many exclusive games it gets. If there ends up being a lot, then make the new categories. If we're only talking a handful, then it seems kind of pointless.

True. It's too early to tell at the moment.
