I would definitely recommend it.  It sounds a lot like their album Paranoid.

Then I'll definitely like it & end up getting it :)

Just got it today (only listened to the 1st track, so far)...

Wtf's up w $16.99 for an 8-song CD; though  :o

Also...why the need for 2 discs for only 8 songs?

Looking forward to hearing the rest of it, though :)

Where did you buy it from?  I got the two disc version for $13.99 from Hastings on release day.

All I ever find at my Goodwill is country CDs.  I got excited once when I saw the two disc version of Pink Floyd's The Wall.  When I opened the case to check the CDs I found two plain discs with country music burned on them!

I admit - I didn't really research it/shop around for it, at all...I just happened to be in a Walmart, saw it, and picked it up @ their listed price of $16.99.

I've recently been trying to get into Pantera because someone kept telling me he really enjoyed them.

So I bought Vulgar Display of Power and it probably took me like 10 listens to actually start liking it. Not sure what it was about it, but it really didn't click with me for a while. But after repeated listens I sort of "got" it. I think I'll look into more of their albums see if there's anymore songs I'll like in there.

One of my favorites in the album:

The only song from them I previously knew was this little gem:

Love me some Pantera!

Dimebag Darrell (may he R.I.P. next to Rhandy Rhoads) was a phenomenal guitarist.

Cowboys from Hell is actually my favorite -with- Cemetary-Gates being one of those songs that I could never hear too many times...or...ever hear w/o being compelled to sing-along with it (much like Danzig's Mother)...talk about an "Anthem from high school"  8)

Also - I saw Pantera live (for Cowboys from Hell), iirc, they were touring with: Suicidal Tendencies, Body Count, Exodus, and I *think* House of Pain (if they were the band that did "Jump Around").

All in all, an awesome time for us attendees - not so much for those working security, though, I'd imagine  :o

I also recommend Cowboys From Hell, it is one of my favorite albums.  The only albums I have not really heard much of are the first four.  I think they are glam metal albums, but I am not sure.

I just ordered Cowboys From Hell. Since I already bought an album I'd rather not go for a best of (usually I do that, but metal CD selection here is abysmal).

On a completely different note, who knew Daffy Duck was so metal?
