Still don't even have an estimated ship date from Amazon on my copy. Not too pleased over here :/

That sucks :(

This is probably the 1st time, that I can say (well, w/ a straight face, at least) that I feel *Lucky* for pre-ordering from Gamestop  :o

Yeah, I'd have jumped on it a LOT sooner if I'd seen news about the artbook beforehand, and if I'd known Nintendo was going to completely drop the ball every step of the way on supply. Ah well... at least I've got Radiant Dawn?

Nintendo seems to have slipped a little bit on their releases lately. I know this and Pokemon Conquest both seemed to be poorly prepared for retail. I'm not sure on any others off the top of my head at the moment.

Ooh, I might've spoken too soon... still no date on Amazon, but there's a pending charge for it that apparently hit my bank account yesterday.

I'm really hoping they didn't drop the ball further and I have an artbook sitting in the box w/ my game. I won't know until I get home from work though. But I'll post an update either way. I'm leaning toward "it's totally in there", but I can't help but feel "meh, it's prolly not in there" too.

Disappointment.

I hold in my hand, Fire Emblem: Awakening. Without an art book. That's saddening. I guess my pessimistic attitude was well placed.

From the chat I had with a GS employee, I have a feeling that it was less "dropping the ball" and more "Nintendo thinks people will buy from the eShop anyway."  I want retail copies of my games, but I know all the big companies are hoping we'll do the legwork and download the games ourselves.  It saves them so much more money that way.

The rumors of Microsoft's next console banning used games doesn't help...

Well, no artbook for me, but looks like that checking account charge was accurate - my copy shipped from Amazon about an hour or two ago :)

That's cool, glad it's on the way! I played a little bit of it last night and it's really fun, I can't wait to put some more play into it. But not sure when I'll be able to. It did make me kick myself, for never getting into the series sooner...

I have the same regret. I didn't have a GBA, and didn't buy a GameCube until after it was pretty much done with, so I missed out on Path of Radiance when it was still reasonably priced. Ever since, I've adopted a policy with Nintendo that I would start buying games before I buy the system, since they seem to discontinue games far more quickly than MS and Sony.

I picked up a used Wii only a few months ago, but snatched up stuff like Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn several months before that. Same deal with the 3DS, though I'm thinking I'll pick one up next month instead of waiting until it's a dead platform :p

Ok, I'm a little pissed, but I also feel like my FE 3DS is prettier.  So there.

"Re-assurance" topic?  :o

J/k Deso & Scott :)

I'll agree that, while the DS *IS* prettier...I'd also be slightly pissed...and trade-in my pretty 3-DS for a bigger-screened 3-DS-XL in a second  :-\
