And of course, I had to swing by Barnes & Noble to pick-up the latest issue of my favorite magazine running today. This month: A spotlight on the original PlayStation, and a tribute to the father of home consoles: Ralph Baer.

Huh, that's odd. Is that the latest issue over there??

I just received Disgaea 1-4 from a friend of mine. He's moving out of State and since he's never going to play them again, he decided to give them to me instead.

Now Playing: Persona 5 Scramble, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8

Yeah, it's a month behind here because it's printed in the U.K. Has to be imported over here. I'm sure there's customs inspections and such it has to go through.

But since it's a retro magazine, it doesn't matter much if it's a little behind. And it's easily better than the U.S. version that started up last year, though I do have a subscription to it.

Ah, I see. Well, as someone in the UK who owns the next issue I can say it's very good! :P

And I just hit over 10,000 items listed on VGCollect.  :o
The 10,000th item is American Mensa Academy  :P
While I have 10,010 items listed on VGCollect, technically I only have 9936 items in my collection.
I have 74 games that are from XBLA listed and digital downloaded games don't really count.  ;)
So... the count down continues lol  ::)

Also, depending on whether I counted correctly or not, you can subtract 504 items from the list (hardware, accessories, etc.) and come to a total of 9432 games!

Nice of you going to the trouble lol
But when it comes to judging a person's total collection number. Hardware and Accessories do count towards a gaming collection, I'd also count variations. The only other things that I personally don't count are duplicates, swag, promotional items, action figures, soundtracks, toys, digital software, etc. while I have added a few of these, much of it was never added to VGCollects data base. As for beating the "world record" I believe its only Games and "maybe" full consoles.

This is why when I counted down to 10,000 I only said "Items" and not games.  :P
But i'll do a countdown on "games" once i get closer to 10,000 just games. lol  ::)
Maybe by the end of the year....  ;)

I wasn't trying to say that they shouldn't count, I was just trying to let people know how many games you had in case they were wondering. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck in reaching your goals for the year, hopefully this will be the best year yet! Also, I noticed that you don't collect PC games. Are you planning on doing that sometime in the future?

PC games is the one thing in gaming I do not collect for, PC is so finicky to get to work sometimes and most newer games require key codes that I just have no interest in the hassle. The closest I come to collecting computer games is Console Computer Games. (Commodore, TI-99, Atari Computers) Every time i stumble across "Big Box" PC games cheap at garage sales that are decent games I always use them to trade. But even then there's not many collectors in my area who want PC games.

"Happy game hunting!!!"

World of Illusions (GEN)
Gyromite Box and Manual(It's Rough, but it was cheap.)
Adventure Island Box and manual

That makes a cool 40 games to go. (I think)

PS1
Wing Commander IV

I LOVE this series! I wish they'd restart this series. Star Citizen is not the same imo, it lacks the production, story and charm of the original Wing Commander series.

Gotta be honest. I got this and Wing Commander III because they have Mark Hamill. :)
